Aoifebelle- Fingers and toes crossed for you -really pleased you are seeing someone over the weekend.

TakingThestairs - had this with my DD so I kind of expected it, Just not as easy with two DC to look after.

Shootingstarsandcomets · 05/04/2013 15:24

Fingers crossed aoife and I think the nhs are fab too!
How did your scan go popscene?

QuietNinjaTardis · 05/04/2013 15:31

Hey everyone. Fingers crossed all Is well aoifebelle.
I've got no sickness yet but if I'm hungry then I'm hungry! I ain't half pissed of with the constipation already. Tmi sorry but I'm struggling. I'm thinking bout paying for private early scan to check everything's ticking long. Just feel more worried this time round. Dunno why.

MildredH · 05/04/2013 15:43

Hi all..

So, an update.. Just got the results of my HCG's and they did indeed double between Weds & Fri.

Had a scan yesterday as realised last min I had a f/up at fertility clinic and went along. Saw fetal pole & sac but no hb ( hopefully because too early).

He's put me on progesterone pessaries ( which are in fact as horrid as they sound) and wants to rescan in 10 days. He said I'm to stay off and rest ( go stir crazy) in the meantime.

Have also started feeling nauseus just today ( probably psychosomatic now I know my hormones are going up..!) it's like that queasy feeling you get when hungry but actually don't quite fancy anything much to eat..

MildredH · 05/04/2013 15:45

Ps-

Aoife- am so glad you had a good experience.. It's so variable with different epu's. it's great they're seeing you Sunday so you've hopefully not got the whole weekend in limbo.. Here's hoping for a good result..

Pop scene- have you had your scan?

kyz1981 · 05/04/2013 15:56

Mildred - I think the earliest you can see a heartbeat is at 5 weeks 4 days (as thats the time it starts)- according to my mum who is taking her scanning test next week. So fingers crossed you should see so much more on your next scan,

MildredH · 05/04/2013 16:03

Ah thanks kyz- that's reassuring! I was only 5+1 when scanned yesterday.

Gosh it's a shame your mum doesn't have an ultrasound probe at home.. You could have daily reassurance!

weechops · 05/04/2013 16:19

Fingers crossed everything is well aoifebelle.

I'll jump on the nausea bandwagon. All day nausea and worse when I'm hungry. I escaped any kind of sickness with dd and ds so this is obviously karma :)

kyz1981 · 05/04/2013 16:44

I know .. I brought a doppler with DD when I was 14 weeks and that used to reassure me until I felt her move. ( not sure all the time if I was hearing the placenta or the HB at times though.)-

Weechops I am finding this one very different from the others as I have had a lot less stretching and cervical pains- and I felt PG from day one with this one. my muscles must be well used now lol.

QuietNinjaTardis · 05/04/2013 16:54

That's good that your hcg doubled and that you're feeling queasy Mildred. Hopefully your next scan will be even more reassuring.
How far along are you weechops? I didn't eat morning sickness til 6 weeks with ds so am expecting that to Hit sometime next week. Really hoping its not as bad as with ds though.

Gooseysgirl · 05/04/2013 17:04

Hope all will be ok for you Aoife, a friend if mine has long term experience of EPU at Homerton and can't say enough about them! My booking appt will also be the same day as 12 week scan, got letter today. Am going to have a private early scan at around 8 weeks... It still doesn't give any guarantees that we will make it twelve weeks but I liked the reassurance last time round. Have been queasy most of the day, with DD the queasiness lasted til about 9-10 weeks..

OrbisNonSufficit · 05/04/2013 17:58

Aoife Fingers crossed for you for good news on the weekend!

Still waiting for any symptoms... I know I'm only about 4 weeks but still. Despite evidence from 2 cb digitals I don't really feel pregnant....

EnvioChick · 05/04/2013 19:06

Hi all,

Sorry I dont have time to read through all the posts since yesterday but hope you are all well.

Unfortunately its time for me to say goodbye and very good luck.

Went to the Dr this morning and she referred me for an early scan due to not knowing a EDD and the slight bleeding since Wed. Had the scan (with a very unsympathetic sonographer) but they couldn't see anything and when she did a urine test it was (virtually) negative (despite me having a very much positive home test this morning). She sent me for a hCG test and that came back as still high enough to be technically pregnant but very low considering I had a positive home test over a week ago. So looks like little blob didn't continue developing and the hCG levels are gradually decreasing. Have another test on Sunday to make sure.
Sonographer is just expecting me to start bleeding properly soon so just have to wait for that I guess. I have no idea what to expect but I guess its just a period really.

very sad and have a long few days ahead waiting for it to happen. It just wasn't my time this time.

Wish you all the very best of luck with your babies.

QuietNinjaTardis · 05/04/2013 19:13

weechops · 05/04/2013 19:30

So so sorry enviochick x

weechops · 05/04/2013 19:32

Ninja I'm only 4+1 but I'm feeling everything intensely this time round, if that makes sense. Maybe its like kyz said and my muscles are shot to bits by now :)

MildredH · 05/04/2013 19:48

Envio- I'm hugely sorry for you. There's a helpful thread over in miscarriage/pregnancy loss which has a lot of good info on what to expect.

Look after yourself. Xx

13loki · 05/04/2013 19:50

envio so sorry. When I had my mc in February, it was a bit like a really crampy period. Actually, there was no (physical) pain for th first day, then an awful day, then like a heavy crampy period for a few days.

Aoifebelle · 05/04/2013 20:00

Arse shit and bugger envio. Lots of hugs your way. You are in for a grim few days and weeks but it does get better.

Gooseysgirl · 05/04/2013 21:06

Sorry to hear this Envio Sad

TakingTheStairs · 05/04/2013 22:04

envio I'm so sorry. Take very good care of yourself and be kind to yourself xxx

Rosebelle · 05/04/2013 22:16

So sorry envio x I had a very early m/c a few years ago where I had a +ve test that had gone to a -ve during the week, I started period the day after the negative. It wasn't any more uncomfortable than a normal period for me, hopefully it'll be the same for you. Thinking of you x
