saundy it definitely sounds like she blabbed. too odd otherwise.
just went out for breakfast and had french toast and pancetta. divine but feeling a bit sickly now! promised a friend from work that i would go to step and tone with her at 12.30, but with a stomach full of greasd and a slight cold i suspect this is not going to be pretty!!! may live to regret it, will take sick bag!

Diege · 23/03/2013 11:56

Found you all! Big wave to notsoold Grin. That's 3 of us oldies on here now Wink
Having a 'bad' sickness day today after a pretty good one yesterday. I do find that the sickness does differ day to day, so always hold out hope for a better day after a horrendous one. I am also finding like you saundy that lazy days where I can lie in actually don't make me feel any better. I'm up at 6am mon-fri and do cope with the mornings better and generally feel brighter. Lie in till 10am today and feel very bleughh indeed. Not that I can bring myself to sacrifice my lie in though!
I will need to change my due date on the list too when I am a computer that lets me do so. Date was moved forward to October 24th Shock and I also have history of going early (all babies 39 wks) so will possible be one of the first to go into labour on here! Have also booked nuchal and bloods at the fetal medical centre for april 17th so feel like I'm making progress.
ps: Japanese rice crackers are helping here - on special at coop and morrisons and are making a real difference!

Fairydogmother · 23/03/2013 12:11

I am only getting up now! I've been awake for a while tho.

The snow is horrendous over here and we've lost power several times so hoping things start to calm down ASAP!

We've told parents and very close friends but waiting until scans etc before telling everyone else. I've a scan next week but not sure whether to wait for booking scan on 9 April before telling. My nieces are coming home from England and France just after my 2nd scan so was thinking of trying to hold out until then but it's sooo hard!

MummaPanda · 23/03/2013 12:21

Morning ladies!
Just munching on some ginger bikkies whilst catching up Grin
Welcome to newbies! Can't believe how many of us there are!
We are planning to keep it a secret as long as poss. Only me and dh know. Not sure how long it will be until its really obvious though, I'm expecting to show really early considering I only gave birth to dd 4months ago! But am hoping to get away with 'struggling to lose the baby fat' for a while Wink

Ha I imagine there'll be a fair few jaws on the floor when you announce mp!

Thank you sps!! It's not just me who thinks that then, it's hard to fake genuine shock so it'll probs be quite obvs when we do tell. To make it more complicated the receptionist is bff with a girl my ex is seeing - who lives with my BiL!! Me & my ex have loads of friends in common so I'm well braced to have lost control of this one. I'd never even met this girl before Xmas & suddenly she's everywhere!!

diege you're racing ahead, that's well exciting!!

I'm feeling a bit better about the prospect of telling my family now seems as most of you have too (such a sheep!). The thing I'm worried about is that I'm still in a bit if pain & quite sicky & tired now too that it's hard to look enthusiastic. When I told my boss I must have looked like my world was ending but I was just in agony at the time, he thought I didn't want it!! Would hate it to seem like that when I tell my family but if I'm having a bad day it very well could. Hmm

Theicingontop · 23/03/2013 13:09

Still quite angry actually, just trying not to think about it. I've said all I need to say to her including the miscarriage in a very long and angry text which she hasn't replied to, no surprises there, she likes to cause trouble and avoid the aftermath. I'll have my brother ringing next week trying to patch things up, no doubt. We're moving out of the area next year so I'll be glad never to see her face again. Emotional, me?

Wow Fairy that sounds awful. Must be very bad to cause power outages, and absolutely freezing no doubt. Keep warm!!

Saundy I hope the the facebook tag was a very eery coincidence, though perhaps we're both the victims of blabbers.

Reeeeaally want salt and vinegar chips. My mouth is watering thinking about it. Gah.

vix206 · 23/03/2013 13:37

I think I might be out girls. Just went to the loo and there was quite a lot of brown blood. I know brown is better than red but I feel in my 'bones' that this is going to end badly. Will let you know later Hmm

harverina · 23/03/2013 13:44

Vix hope you are ok. Are you going to call the hospital?

vix206 · 23/03/2013 13:46

I don't think so. I have my 1st appt booked for Monday morning so if I'm still pregnant then I will obviously mention it. Otherwise, at 6 weeks, there's nothing to be done.

No pain at all just brown mucus. Really hoping its harmless but something tells me to prepare for the worst.

DittyRatt · 23/03/2013 14:07

Garrrrr these hormones are making me look like a spotty teen Sad

Hope everything will be ok for you viz

7+4?x

DittyRatt · 23/03/2013 14:08

Hmmm that should be vix not viz danm auto correct

PoppySeedBun · 23/03/2013 14:17

vix fingers crossed for you. Hope that it stops soon as all is OK for Monday. dont' give up hope yet.

ditty I'm exactly the same with the spots. Thought it was bad enough ttc (I was always spot-free on the pill) but they seem to have multiplied now! Sad

icing not surprised you're still angry - only thing to do is not to let her into your head too much. Feel for you on the cravings - I'm loving pretzels and pretzel sticks - like the salt crystals on there Grin

williaminajetfighter · 23/03/2013 14:30

Vix am thinking of you. I've had 3 miscarriages and they've all started with pink, quickly turning to red blood. So you might be ok with brown blood.

Hoping you are ok and the weekend passes quickly.

Saundy · 23/03/2013 14:34

Vix I'm sorry to read that but brown blood & no pains are the best of a bad situation IYKWIM. There's hope to be had so rest up and & look after yourself. Everything crossed for Mon xx

vix206 · 23/03/2013 14:35

I've had no more since going to the loo. It was more light brown discharge than actual blood so I'm trying to be more positive because it appears to be very common at around 6 weeks.

CheeseandGherkins · 23/03/2013 14:44

vix I bled brown blood for 10 days with my first pregnancy and everything was fine, no cause for it and she's now 11. Hope you're ok

I found the appointment card, well dh did, for my scan and it turns out it's on Tuesday and not Wednesday after all! 1 less day to wait.

suprisepitstop · 23/03/2013 14:45

i think a few people have brown spotting will hopefully be ok

harverina · 23/03/2013 14:50

Yeah Vix read it is very common so hope it's ok

Diege · 23/03/2013 14:58

vix I had a brown discharge that turned to pink from 6 to 7 weeks (then stopped) and all was well. I had a scan for reassurance at 8 weeks and the sonographer said brown/pink spotting at 6 wks is classic implantation xx

stuffthenonsense · 23/03/2013 15:05

Vix I know from experience that nothing we can say will help. Just rest. And keep positive. It sounds like you may well be ok. We can hold hands together waiting for good news.

vix206 · 23/03/2013 15:15

Thanks so much guys. I feel so lucky to have you Smile

getoffthecoffeetable · 23/03/2013 15:28

Vix I had brown discharge when I was pregnant with DS, I think it was about six weeks. Rest up and take it easy.

Have had three naps today, feeling quite lazy. I love Saturdays as DH just takes DS and the dog out and they have their boy time and I get to rest. DS is having a nap now so I had one too, just coming round now!

I've not told the parents after all. I'd prefer to tell them in person but won 't be seeing them for another couple of weeks. Maybe it 's better to wait. Aargh, secrets secrets!

Vocalista86 · 23/03/2013 15:52

ditty and poppy tell me about it! Spot free on the pill, as soon as I came off it my skin started to get bad and since I've been pregnant it's just got worse! Has anyone found anything that helps? I read something about dairy being a trigger a lot of the time but it's not as if we can do that now, as our babys need us to have lots of it!

Saundy · 23/03/2013 16:06

How are you doing stuff any improvement?

PoppySeedBun · 23/03/2013 16:30

vocalista haven't found anything that completely eliminates the spots, but I think they are worse when I'm not doing proper hot-cloth cleansing at night (as per Sali Hughes). I also switched to a Eucerin moisturiser that seems to be helping a bit too.

Having a super lazy day here too. DH is off with his motorbike, so I've been of the sofa most of the day. Grin
