Dizzy81 · 31/03/2013 08:29

Morning all,

Fell asleep n the sofa last night about nine and woke up at 7.30! Feel a bit better today. I think I could be anaemic - well the dh thinks so, so it will be mentioned at my midwife appointment. Also I need to remember to keep taking my pregnancy multi bits.

Hope those with ms are feeling better? The sea sick bands are a god send, I wear them for work and don't bother with them at home. May explain the urgh feeling.

harverina · 31/03/2013 09:10

Morning and happy Easter!

Getoff I fell asleep about 4am after dh went and got me diet coke and salt n vinegar crisps. Before that I was feeling so sick and dizzy and really tearful so, I'm ashamed to say, I woke him up Smile the snack made me feel 1000x better so from now on I'm keeping a snack at my bedside as I felt miserable. Went up sleep straight after. Dd woke at 7.20am, so 8.20 so got a few hours sleep but not a lot. Hope you get a nap at some point today and feel ok.

Saundy good luck for today telling your parents your good news. It's such a fab way to break the news, bet they will be delighted GrinGrin

Have just been brought breakfast in bed by dd and dh - was secretly hoping for an extra hour or two in bed Wink

Dizzy81 · 31/03/2013 09:10

Thesperminator, congrats on a great scan.

Oh I got my sea ands from Asda, they were £7.29.

honey86 · 31/03/2013 09:23

i got mine from the local chemist... dunno how much i paid for them though i just asked for them paid for them n put em on i just wanted abit of relief Blush

woke up just now feeling well anxious and sick Sad

Saundy · 31/03/2013 10:01

Morning ladies! I got my bands from a local chemist & they're called acustrap's, they're really good because they're Velcro so I size does all (I have tiny wrists) & you can adjust them for how you feel. Only £4, bargain!

I can't take credit for the egg idea - thank you Stuff! Will be telling later when all my sisters are here.

So strange though, ages ago I mentioned on here I had the most frustrating craving for superwhip - which went out of production in 1993 or something. Anyway when I got home everyone was randomly talking about it. I've so been craving jelly & told DP I wish I could ask my mum to make some but it would be too obvs as she hasn't made it in years, when I got home she'd made jelly!! I have some sort of crazy psychic family freaking me out.

My mum also made a few off hand comments about pregnancy & one about me having a girl - which is odd as I am not the breeder in this family so am pretty convinced now everyone knows.

DP was sure everyone would know the instant I walked in the room - I communicate with my sisters quite well non verbally so I think he may be right dammit!!

Will find out soon anyway, wish me luck & enjoy your Easter everyone [bugrin]

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 31/03/2013 10:10

I might have to get some of the bands, although just lying down seems to do the trick for me. Not an ideal solution at work Grin.

sperminator congrats on the scan. I've been a complete nightmare too, was crying on dh's shoulder last night - not really sure why.

Urgh just weighed myself. Weight gain 5 pounds (but looks more like 10 damn you mirror) will be 10 weeks tomorrow. I guess it could be worse given all the crap I've been eating.

harverina · 31/03/2013 10:34

Oooh saundy I'm going to look them up online and see where I can get them as mine really are too tight to wear all day. Velcro would be Much better.

Suffolk grrrr to your mil! Shock

Whenshe I am scared to weigh myself again. I am counting down the days until this sickness passes so that I can stat earrings healthy again. Tried to do it last week and just couldn't manage to so it - I do aim to try and eat a little better this week though as I'm eating pure rubbish all of the time Blush but the cravings are too intense and the nausea is too horrible for me to really commit to healthy eating at the moment.

Who said they were craving apples? I so wish that was me!!!

Going swimming today with dd and cannot be bothered. Feel bad even saying that but I have zero motivation or energy. She was mega excited by her Easter bag this morning. The Easter bunny had left it in the garden for her Wink

Honey how is your dd an fairy did you have to do anything about the slapped cheek?

Honey I got my scan appointment a few days after I initially saw midwife at gp clinic when I was 6 weeks. I was given my screening appointment there and then.

Mumma are you getting any more sleep?

Dh and dd very kindly went downstairs to let me get some sleep but I am wide awake so just going to get up and make a start to the day. I will try and nap later.

Have a good day ladies - oh and you too sperm. Congrats on the scan. That's great news Grin

I'm away to crack open he Ben and Jerrys Wink

MummaPanda · 31/03/2013 11:21

harv dd slept a solid 6hrs last night. Miracle!! Grin and my amazing dh has got up early with her the last 2days so I could lay in so I'm feeling much more human, yaay!

Fairydogmother · 31/03/2013 14:47

Harv I've to wait for 2 weeks on bloods coming back! Takes ages

We went public on fb there lol

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 31/03/2013 14:57

Wow public on Facebook is a big step.

Facebooks worrying me at the moment, all the kids I know are coming down with a wretched virus. Just praying dd doesn't get it.

littlemonkey2013 · 31/03/2013 15:17

hey everyone i have just read through all this thread and decided to join. i am pregnant with my first baby. Had my first US last week but could only see a blob no heartbeat so the doctor said it was too early and to come back next week. so fingers crossed.
based on my lmp baby should be due on 10th november, more advanced due date calculators which take into account normal cycle it gives me 17th november but doctor thought it could be as late as 22nd nov for my due date. i guess i will wait and see this week on my next appointment. but boy does time go slow when you just want to know...

symptoms wise i have just been feeling really tired and a bit nauseous but this morning i felt like i was going to throw up all morning and lying down was worse.

anyway nice to meet you all

BoyMeetsWorld · 31/03/2013 16:31

Hi all, tentatively joining this thread to mark place, but as it's so close to "full" and there's a LOT to read back on, may wait until the new thread to join in properly.

Which could be just as well...EDD 27th Nov but had a mc at 6 weeks in Dec so I'm not getting my hopes up just yet. Lovely to read other people's stories - think I even saw one or two on the list with very similar dates to me :)

stuffthenonsense · 31/03/2013 16:35

Ooh SAUNDY hurry and let us know how it went!

TiredFeet · 31/03/2013 16:41

Hello and welcome littlemonkey and boymeetsworld

getoff I am glad they took the news well, I know how hard it is telling people who desperately want children themselves (and I know how tough it is to be on the receiving end of the news too)

saundy let us know how you get on.

Been for a massive walk in the snow this morning, feel exhausted now!

MissTweed · 31/03/2013 16:53

Afternoon ladies.... Am I the only one that's having to start wearing maternity jeans soon?? In 10w+3 and my 1st baby. Don't know whether I'm just getting fat or this is actually baby bump?? Right now feeling like a whale!!Hmm

MotherOfCleo · 31/03/2013 17:06

tweed you are not alone, my skinny jeans are really uncomfy now so Im mainly down to leggings and smart work trousers which have more give than my jeans.....whats worrying is Im only 8+4. My boobs are also enormous, Ive gone from a 34c/d to 34e, I hope they stop soon as its really uncomfy now, I bought a new 34dd bra which I cant wear anymore as its really uncomfortable now, got all of 2 weeks wear out of it. Blush

MissTweed · 31/03/2013 17:08

My boobs have gone from 36B to 36DD!! I'm currently wearing my friends boulder holder!!! The hardest thing is keeping my DH from them!! Lol

MissTweed · 31/03/2013 17:16

I went maternity jean shopping yesterday..... How depressing!! Most of the shops I went into said that they no longer had maternity wear in store (top shop/next/DP) as there was no calling for it??? everywhere else only had maternity skinny jeans. I've never worn skinny jeans and am not planning to start!! (My hips decided that one! Lol) I'm also tall and long legged....coupled with big hips and small waste I find jean shopping hard at the best of times so picking from an Internet site is going to be tricky!! I have however bought a next pair from eBay so fingers crossed

Ariel21 · 31/03/2013 17:21

Yes boymeetsworld I'm 27 Nov too (by my estimations) so don't really feel able to get excited yet - (although have been browsing baby stuff online to satisfy my broody needs...) I'm sorry to hear about your Mc and wish you all the best for this pregnancy.

BoyMeetsWorld · 31/03/2013 17:58

Hi Ariel, great to 'meet' a DD buddy, even if we have got our fingers crossed still for now! Think I'm pretty confident on dates which will help when have the dreaded scan of doom - at least will know one way or another as opposed to last time where they kept trying to persuade me I MIGHT have just miscalculated.

When are you booking in? Think I'm going to shell out for an 8 week viability scan then book in for 12 week after that if luck is on my side.

Can't believe Next no longer stocks maternity - is that only in store, do they still do it online?

Fairydogmother · 31/03/2013 18:19

I wasn't worried about telling friends on Facebook - how else would people far away know!
