15 weeks theboob? So you're due in September? You think you're 6 weeks though? I'm confused!!

Soo tired and still crampy. Almost 3 weeks off for the kids now, they can't wait until Easter.

fairy hope your scan goes well

CheeseandGherkins · 28/03/2013 18:54

retro glad it went well :)

theboob · 28/03/2013 18:56

cheese , my last LMP was 15/12 so she has to date me from then , I was testing negative so I date myself at around 6 weeks ....we we're just about to give up ttc till next year and once my AF had come back when I got my BFP

clementine82 · 28/03/2013 18:58

Hello! I've been lurking on here for ages and not posted since my BFP. 8 weeks tomorrow and feeling nauseous pretty much all the time. I think I'm starting to get a better handle on it though - nux vomica, ginger root and way too many water biscuits. Getting bored of them tbh. Been drinking a can of coke every afternoon as that makes me feel better too. Don't normally touch the stuff!

Had to tell my manager and closest colleagues this week - it was getting too obvious and I knew they'd figured it out :) Got my booking in on Weds and then scan not for another month! Looking forward to being able to tell everyone and hopefully feeling better. Also want to start shopping for mat clothes (don't need them atm and don't want to tempt fate)! This is my first so all very novel...

BangOn · 28/03/2013 19:00

congratulations harverina retroelle & everyone else with positive scans!

theboob that does sound confusing. were you the poster who got pg soon after being on one of those pills tgat stops af? or did i imagine that ?

i feel way behind the rest of the class. my booking in appointment isn't even til next thursday. have had a funny taste in my mouth this afternoon & felt slightly nauseous. sort of relieved as i haven't been big on symptoms these past few days. jeans are feeling tight though.

theboob · 28/03/2013 19:03

No that was not me , I am defo not 15 weeks , but because my Af was last seen in December the midwife had to date me as that until the scan .It is very very annoying not knowing my dates but I do think around 6 , only scan will tell

stuffthenonsense · 28/03/2013 19:03

Welcome clementine, I use nux vomica too, also pulsatilla and this my first of six pregnancies where I haven't vomitted all day every day, they work so well! Still nauseous though.

Vocalista86 · 28/03/2013 19:06

I just devoured a Whispa after returning for the gym... Ah well, back to square one!

Anyone else noticing serious bloating? The mirrors were not kind in the gym!

CheeseandGherkins · 28/03/2013 19:08

theboob that makes more sense! I guess you'll know for sure at the scan. I imagine they will fit you in pretty quickly.

clementine welcome and congrats

bangon even though I've had scans, I spoke to my midwife today, and my booking in appointment isn't until next Friday. I haven't been able to do my top buttons up for a week or so now!

getoffthecoffeetable · 28/03/2013 19:16

theboob sorry sorry sorry - am a plonker! As long as the midwife is happy and you've got a scan booked to date you, you'll know soon enough. I've obviously got my baby brain on today!
retro congratulations on your scan.
cheese my belly's def bloated and done things are tighter than others!
Congratulations and welcome clementine

Dizzy81 · 28/03/2013 19:45

Congrats to all those who ad fAntasic scans!

Yep I did do chores before work only because I start at 9am.

Yep bloated belly too. Plus brushed the boobs accidentally at work - ouch.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 28/03/2013 19:48

clementine I'm really craving coke every afternoon too. I don't know why, but it makes me feel better.

jen252 · 28/03/2013 20:17

Called up the GP yesterday to ask about the all day misery... ended up with a midwife appt on Tuesday (yay!) and a phone chat with the doctor who was really reassuring (yay!). She said if it continues to be bad and I continue to lose weight (I've dropped about 2 kg in 2 weeks -- any other time I'd be thrilled with that sort of weight loss!), they'll put me on something. For now, I decided to wait it out a bit longer to see if things settle.

It also all made me feel a bit better about indulging my cravings today -- fast food cheeseburgers, tiramisu, and grapes.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 28/03/2013 20:29

jen my midwife specifically told me not to diet. So yes, pregnancy is the time to indulge in all your cravings Grin. I got really worried about not having any appetite for a week. But it solved itself this week, and I've been eating like there is no tomorrow again. I can't stomach a large meal, but I have been snacking all day at my desk. Hope it's a phase for you, and soon you'll be able to eat for england!

Saundy · 28/03/2013 20:34

Welcome back Clementine I'm also 8 weeks tmr & have my booking on on Wed. There's loads of us first timers due the same day (probably not entirely unrelated to no kids getting in the way of a romantic Valentines lol).

So you're not the only one Bang there's a few of us still to be booked in Smile

Loads of positive scans & appts today so yey everyone!! Are we just waiting on Fairy now?

Good call on the crisps ILove am always up for a new brand, just need to get to Ikea now.

Have a fab holiday Berry am v jealous about the camper van, would defo do Glasto in that!

I'm another McBloaterson, was pretty much my first symptom though.

Have been a bit worried about how little I've been eating (& retaining) there's really been not much at all of value for the splodge & it's such a critical growth time!! Aah. Have managed to eat almost a full serving of chicken & rice today so that's something. Squeezed the juice of a full lemon on it before it tasted nice (normally a bit excessive).

Fairydogmother · 28/03/2013 21:11

Fairy jellybean all present and correct! I'm a bit ahead of my first EDD so I'm now 8+3! saw the teeny blob and heard its little heart racing away so v happy. Got 6 wee pictures too.

She did see a small 2cm cyst on the left hand side and has made a note of it for me to take to the NHS scan in a few weeks time. Said not to worry but I'm glad we know its there. I've no pain so not worrying.

Told my nieces now and they're ultra excited! I know it's still early days but I think I'll tell people in work tomorrow as its such a hard secret to keep!

I have this plastered on my cold ravaged snotty face Grin lol

Saundy · 28/03/2013 21:13

Yey congrats!

Fairydogmother · 28/03/2013 21:16

Thank you! It def makes a difference being able to see something

I was BURSTING for a pee too and the sonographer was 15 mins behind schedule! Oooooooo

Saundy · 28/03/2013 21:28

& less time to wait too!! So what's your new date, how much could you see?

Fairydogmother · 28/03/2013 21:30

Think that makes due date 4 nov. hard to make anything out other than a bean with stumps! Lol. But you could see a flickering wee light that she said was the heart and we heard it bring away too which was v cool

Fairydogmother · 28/03/2013 21:31

Beating not bring lol

jen252 · 28/03/2013 21:31

OneLittle The GP told me to try whatever I could stomach and said nutty cereal bars and fizzy water got her through her first trimester. DH is seeing if I do better if he makes me food rather than me thinking about it too much, so not a bad situation!!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 28/03/2013 21:38

Grin for fairy. You were worrying me for a bit there.

getoffthecoffeetable · 28/03/2013 22:03

Brilliant news fairy congratulations!!
Think we're going to tell the parents tomorrow, scary!

harverina · 28/03/2013 22:05

Yes eat what you fancy, whatever it takes to get you through this hard time. I rediscovered Worcestershire sauce crisps today at breakfast time. They were divine. Has salad for lunch and it was amazing! Tonight I am feeling so sick but we have nothing that will settle my tummy so just sipping water until it passes. I would love some ice cream but sadly I ate it all earlier in the week and don't think I will be replacing it as it cannot be good for me the amount I ate!!

Sorry for all this talk of food it's just that i am feeling so nauseous tonight and having mega cravings! Do cravings continue throughout pregnancy? Didn't have any last time round.

Yay on your scan fairy super news. Good news all round today which is lovely to hear.

Welcome back clem Grin
