Morning. I haven't been proper sick with DD, and haven't this time either. I don't think morning sickness is as dramatic as on TV where you have to rush to the toilet all the time. I just feel slightly nauseous, stomach slightly unsettled and a bit of dry heaving. Also have the same bad taste in my mouth. I have days where I can't eat enough, days where I can't face eating anything. And generally feeling really really tired.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 28/03/2013 09:11

harv hope everything is ok with you.

Saundy · 28/03/2013 09:14

Dizzy washing and hoovering BEFORE work?! You're a better woman than me!

GOTCT Am defo going to give my pregnancy a chance to settle down before I make the final decision. Plus when you have a supply of shepees emergencies can be dealt with Wink

I hope your day improves Icing have been up since 3am for the second day running with this flipping pain and I'm so over it!!! We can be grumpy together lol.

Alexandra6 · 28/03/2013 09:17

Hi just a quick thing as saw some talk of sharp pain up thread, I had that for a couple of days around my BFP, spoke to a preggers friend and she said she got stretching pains and now and again a very sharp pain in right side especially when she laughed, sneezed and stood up quickly, she said that's normal. I'm actually confused now as I haven't had the pain since, tummy feels normal now, which worried me but hopefully that doesn't mean anything bad. Anyway def have it looked into if worried but wanted to mention that.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 28/03/2013 09:40

I just got the news that the wife of someone from work has given birth on the M3, on the way to the hospital Shock. It must be the hormones, but I'm feeling really emotional about this.

harverina · 28/03/2013 09:44

Well, called epu and have a scan at 2pm. They barely asked me what was wrong, just booked me in when I told them that triage had told me to call them. Feel a mix of excitement and also so nervous on case something is wrong.

Saundy yeah think it was you - my pain doesn't have me doubled over but it catches my breath and doesn't feel right if that makes sense - maybe it's just because I had nothing like this with dd that I am worrying. Last time I had nothing to compare my symptoms with so just thought everything was normal!

Thanks everyone.

TiredFeet · 28/03/2013 09:45

harv I wouldn't worry to much but you should definitley get it scanned just to rule out etopic, better safe than sorry!

JBrd · 28/03/2013 09:46

Gosh, this thread moves too fast! A couple of people were asking about the baby hammocks - we bought this one www.moffii.com , it was the best investment.

Yes, swaddling works very well with the hammock, we did it a lot. In fact, just being in the hammock is already a semi-swaddled position, as they are really snug in there (one reason I believe helps with the sleeping).
We had absolutely no problems with the transition into the cotbed.
And it's so useful - during the day, we'd move it around the house, you can hang it from the door frame, so DS would usually have his nap downstairs somewhere, and then for the night, we'd hang the hammock off the frame in our bedroom. Great for travelling, too, as the hammock packs down really nicely (although you need to find out if the have proper door frames at your destination Wink ), but it meant we didn't have to worry about taking a travel cot/moses basket everywhere we went. We did have a moses basket, but DS really wasn't happy in it, so we just never used it. Can't recommend it highly enough!

Oh, and someone asked about the Stokke Sleepi that we got secondhand - I found it on eBay!

Fingers crossed your DD had decided today's the day to be angelic suffolk
Thank you for the baby hammock linkjb I'm really interested in that so will have a good look.
Am at work today, monster hungry!

harverina · 28/03/2013 10:08

I am in work working on my uni course work so that'll keep me busy.

Oh and meant to say, yesterday at my booking in I was told I will be routinely scanned at 12, 20 and 31 weeks - the last one is standard as previously had a cesarean. So a pleasant surprise to be getting 3 scans Grin (well 4 including today)

Ok better run I'm sitting outside work putting off going in!

harverina · 28/03/2013 10:09

Just saw your message onelittle - are mum and baby ok? Wow the m3. Was she in an ambulance or car?

harverina · 28/03/2013 10:13

Saundy thanks for the link, had a look and it's reassuraning as someone said that a consultant said sharp pains are normal and just stretching.

sorry ladies have just been hovering the preg threads, feeling awfully lethargic lately... just not interested in anything other than sleeping Sad so fatigued and any exertions even the school run spark off sickness and a horrible shaky-clammy feeling... im so grateful that i only have 1 more school run before the easter hols and 2 weeks off college.. im going to use that wisely..

have had no more bleeding this week just one or two ligament pains...
got my doppler through... i thought id try it in case im one of the minority that can detect hb early on..Grin unfortunately i wasnt could only hear the swooshing of blood flow down there which cud poss be where the placenta is... but not certain.. so on i wait Hmm

honey86 · 28/03/2013 10:52

slapped cheek i think is contagious, my son had it and he werent allowed to school. dd is still off with chickenpox... i had to have an antibody blood test the other day to check for immunity as mum doesnt think ive had it x

williaminajetfighter · 28/03/2013 12:27

vix hope you do try again soon. They all say women are very fertile after a miscarriage - definitely the case for me as I got p/g 6 weeks after one...

A quick note to say I had scan this morning, baby all okay - heart beating and 1.55cm! - and all the bleeding and funny clots coming out of my must have been old. Hard to believe as there was a lot of clots but midwife said that - lots of pound size clots - can be normal. phew. thanks for everyone's wee notes of support.

Fairydogmother · 28/03/2013 12:30

yea you're right honey except this stupid mother didnt think to mention to anybody else that her 3 children plus her had it.

i'm really really angry with her

brilliant news williamina

vix206 · 28/03/2013 12:48

Williamina I'm so pleased. I've been checking back for news.

getoffthecoffeetable · 28/03/2013 12:56

Williamina that's lovely news.

Alwaystheauntie · 28/03/2013 13:13

Williamina, that's great news!

Vix - v sorry to hear your news. Hope you are doing ok.

I called the EPU and have got an 8 week scan booked in for next Friday. Just told them the consultant had said I would have one and they just booked me in. Result! My symptoms have pretty much subsided other than the v sore boobs and tiredness. I am getting a bit of cramping and some very small brown spotting. But I have decided to remain positive and work on the assumption that everything is ok until or unless I get told to the contrary. I am tired of second guessing every twinge and decided just to enjoy the fact that I am pregnant.

By the way, if you didn't watch OBEM last night. DON'T!! It was extremely traumatic. My DH got home from work to discover me sobbing in a heap on the sofa Grin.

harverina · 28/03/2013 13:22

Alwaystheauntie that's the best way to be. Second guessing everything gets us into a real state. Best to worry about problems if they actually happen.

On way to scan just now. Feeling sick with nerves with a mix of excitement at the thought of seeing our baby is everything is ok. I think every scan is a bit like that though even when you have no reason to necessarily be worried.

Great news williamina Grin so happy for you that everything is ok. Just goes to show that bleeding isn't always anything awful happening.
