Evening ladies

I'm 33 and will be 34 when baby is due (fingers xd!). I feel like a whale tonight - really bloated belly.

I've got a bit paranoid with weight as I've lost 3 stone 2 pounds since September so worried about piling on lots of fat. But all I want to eat are carbs!

Counting the hours until my scan this Thursday evening. A wee question about weeks - I was 7 weeks last Friday. Does that make me 7+4 or 7+3?!

Ariel21 · 25/03/2013 20:48

Gosh this thread moves sooo quickly!

Feeling good today, have noticed being more tired in the evenings though (I'm usually a midnight owl) and soo bloated. Have started taking pics with the Belly Booth app!

I'm 29, will be 30 when the baby arrives.

And you ladies have inspired me to start moisturising!

Fakebook · 25/03/2013 20:56

Williamjet, that's cool, we're both having scans on the same day every 2 weeks Smile. Do you know when yours will stop? I've been told I'm having them until week 13 and I have the 12 week booked aswell today. Hopefully everything will be ok for you this time.

Fakebook · 25/03/2013 20:58

Fairydog, you're 7+3.

Dizzy81 · 25/03/2013 21:01

Fairydog, w e're due date buddies!

Fairydogmother · 25/03/2013 21:10

Ta I thought it was that but something I read made me doubt it!

8 nov here we come dizzy!

Alexandra6 · 25/03/2013 21:19

Is anyone else feeling ridiculously anxious about things and terrifying themselves on google or is that just me?! Really can't wait for my first scan, am driving myself crazy!

Glad you're ok vix sounds really positive

ilovemiltonismybestfriend · 25/03/2013 21:20

Ariel21 yay! Glad we have inspired you! Which moisturiser are you using??

ilovemiltonismybestfriend · 25/03/2013 21:23

Alexandra I have moments. Most of the time I forget about it though. Im ridiculously active And I think my body has to be protective because I forget otherwise. Apparently when I was playing lacrosse last week I was protecting my tummy with one arm and tackling and running etc with the other. Try not to google too much or you will diagnose yourself all the time and freak yourself out!!

Ariel21 · 25/03/2013 21:34

Milton Just some Bliss body butter at the moment, might get some of the recommended oils or creams as it progresses. Usually I'm too cold/lazy to put it on! (Seriously - why is moisturiser so cold?!)

Re. Anxiousness - I have history of health anxiety and other disorders and feel surprisingly calm - I think subconsciously I know how important it is not to over think. Maybe it's going to help me be a calmer person? I certainly hope so.

I am a bit worried as I'm flying abroad for a wedding in June and usually take diazepam for the panic, presumably this will be a no-no so I may have to go 'au naturale'...

harverina · 25/03/2013 21:40

Alexandra I am relaxed about it most of the time although I check every time I go to the loo or I purposefully go to the toilet if I feel a little damp down below Blush but aside from that I try not to worry - I am a bit of a symptom checker on google too! I can sometimes scare myself doing that!

Louby my dd us allergic to peanuts, that's the only nut she has been tested for but we are told to avoid all nuts. Did you have any other allergies as a child? Do you carry epipens?

Williamina great news! Grinmy sister is 16 years older than me and we are close and always have been so wouldn't worry about age gap.

Fairy I am also worried about my weight. I'd lost 2 stones on we (lots more to go) and although I hadn't been losing for a while I had maintained it. The only thing you can do is watch what you eat once you get over the first trimester - it is usually a little easier. Then get back into it once your baby is born. You did it quickly last time so will so it again Grin I wouldn't stress just now. Meaty crisps and chocolate are sometimes all I can eat at the moment to help with sickness - I used to pile on the vegetables with my dinner at night and snack on fruit but haven't been able to stomach either for the past 4 weeks. Green beans make me gag Hmm but they won't always hopefully!!

Right ladies, I am in bed as promised, I have my kindle ready and I will be sleeping soon (hopefully) I will feel as refreshed tomorrow as I did today (hopefully) and I won't eat crisps for breakfast (yeah right)speak to you all in the morning. I wish you all a good nights sleep free from any worry x

DittyRatt · 26/03/2013 00:18

Re: ages; I think I may be the youngest I am 20 will be 21 when bub is born.
And this is my 5th pregnancy but will be my 3rd baby.

Right off to bed so so tired will catch up better in the morning.

Night all

7+6?x

Dizzy81 · 26/03/2013 03:09

Ariel21, I suffer from a history of anxiety and depression and after my mini meltdown at work a few weeks ago my dr suggested doing a cognitive behavioural therapy course which I'd free on the nhs. Might be worth asking your dr or midwife?

To cheese who I think was mentioning discharge, it's normal. If it itches see your dr.

Harvernia nothing wrong with crisps for breakfast. My dh purchased a box of 30 mini cheddars forme from a cash and carry on Saturday as they help with the nausea. I've munched mt way through some!!!

I'm currently 31 and willbe32 when jelly bean arrives.

Up early as dh is snoring and I'm a whole bag of nervous for the impending scan.

ilovemiltonismybestfriend · 26/03/2013 03:29

Your up early Dizzy!! Did you fall asleep ridiculously early too and then wake up at 3am and think "doh"! I've spent the last 25mins liking Facebook memes! And now I'm deciding what to have to eat tomorrow! What is happening to me?? Grin

In other news I'm off to ikea in the morning and I'm looking forward to a hot dog! Wait, that's not other news... That's just more food thoughts!!! Aaaaargghh!!

Dizzy81 · 26/03/2013 03:36

Surprisingly not Ilovemilton, I went to bed at half nine - that late fir me as I'm normally fast asleep on the sofa at 8.30. The dh is snoring and I've got a gazzilion things running through my mind about the dting scan later!

Mmmm Ikea hotdogs!

ilovemiltonismybestfriend · 26/03/2013 03:44

What are you thinking about?? Anything you need to talk about...?

And I know! I love ikea food! Especially the meatballs. They taste so good fried and then mixed into Philadelphia pasta... Nom nom nom!

Dizzy81 · 26/03/2013 03:48

What's it going to look like - jelly bean that is. What if something's wrong, will my dh think I'm a disappointment. I've already asked him this and he said don't be silly. It's the hormones! It doesn't help that I've got to go into work for an hour this morning will not be able to concentrate.

Dizzy81 · 26/03/2013 03:55

I've got to go into work for an hour then leave to do the scan.

ilovemiltonismybestfriend · 26/03/2013 04:16

You're not silly... Good effort on going to work first!! Don't worry! I'm sure things will be ok... Let me know how you get on!

I've just got crazy nausea! Been sat in the bathroom and now drinking black currant squash from the bottle in bed! Ikea day is always an ill day for me... It's a running joke with my best mate because every trip we have made, I have always been really poorly on the day. I hope this goes by the morning!!!

CheeseandGherkins · 26/03/2013 05:53

Morning. Been awake about half an hour, still in bed but may get up soon. My two boys are awake as usual but everyone else is sleeping. I feel sick and nervous, my scan is at 10.30 this morning.

I'm 34. I love ikea, not been to one in a while though. Really need a cup of tea, less keen on food

getoffthecoffeetable · 26/03/2013 06:22

Good luck to everyone having scans today, I'm very jealous!
Midwife appointment is tomorrow, hopefully she'll be able to give an idea when our scan might be. Not for a few weeks yet though.

Dizzy81 · 26/03/2013 06:44

Thanks all. I didn't have much choice re going into work before hand.

Once we e had the scan we're going to call both sets of parents then see them at the weekend!

Dizzy81 · 26/03/2013 07:18

Cheese good luck with your scan.

williaminajetfighter · 26/03/2013 07:34
