Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
RJM17 · 25/03/2013 11:06

We decided to tell people Saturday just gone as when we did suffer the mc it was nice to have the support of our family and close friends but now I've told people I'm even more scared that something is gonna go wrong and my DH thinks I'm just being paranoid.
I am hoping that if I see a heartbeat next week I will be able to relax more. I am giving myself little steps to get to! So I wanted to get to first scan. Now that's done I'm just aiming for next weeks scan then if all ok I will set another little target. Because if I think about it as 9 months I just totally freak out!! X

OneLittleToddleTerror · 25/03/2013 11:18

RJM don't get those pregnancy apps then Grin. I've got the babycentre one and it's telling me I have more than 290 days to go!

It also suggests me taking a bump photo. Has anyone started that yet?

harverina · 25/03/2013 11:19

I know it's easier said than done but try to relax and enjoy your pregnancy as much as possible. It's only natural that you will worry but worrying wont change anything - says me!!! Grin

RJM17 · 25/03/2013 11:21

Yeah I have that too but I am trying not to look at it too often! Every now and again I look to see how far I've gone and how much my baby has developed but try not to look at future stuff. But it has started asking me to take bump photos x

OneLittleToddleTerror · 25/03/2013 11:22

It tells me it's 2cm last week. Surely if it's that small, why am I starting to look a bit bloated?

RJM17 · 25/03/2013 11:23

Thanks Harv. I know I need to relax as stress isn't good. I start to relax after each appointment and think that I'm ok but then the next day I freak out again!! It's not helping that 2 of my friends are due at same time as that is making me think that if something goes wrong I have to watch them be happy!! Terrible way to look at it I know. Xx

Oops not sure what happened there!!

OneLittleToddleTerror · 25/03/2013 11:42

Let me guess, you are posting on a phone?

MummaPanda · 25/03/2013 11:45

Poor dd just had her 4month jabs Sad but on the bright side I finally filled in my midwife application forms so starting to feel real now! Grin

Vix - fingers crossed for you, though it sounds promising.

I've had a small amount of spotting last night and this morning. It's brown so i'm trying not to panic. Called the doc this morning, and they were going to arrange for a doctor to call me back for some advice. No word yet! It does seem to have stopped now, so hopefully it's nothing to worry about. For once, Dr Google is being my friend on this one!

And yeah, before that I've had similar discharge to the rest of you.

I need to get some stretch mark cream in town at lunch, I've no idea which one to go for - I guess I'll see what's on offer!

theboob · 25/03/2013 12:17

fx vix , thinking of you !
I just use normal cream , after 4 dc there is no hope left for my tum .
I am absolutly petrified to tell people i'm pregnant , the comments that will follow really get to me , we both work and have room but yet people will defo make snide comments about this being dc 5 . I've never gone this long without telling people , I feel very sorry for my little bean that there will be less excitment about it's arrival than there was for dc 1 .....hormones I think , just needed a moan

getoffthecoffeetable · 25/03/2013 12:17

Sorry cheese and onetoddler you're completely right about the nuchal test. I must've been nine weeks before and then went back for the scan at eleven weeks. My brain's mush these days!
My tummy's all bloated again. Am sure it only happens at work!
Managed not to vom on any clients. Have got my travel bands on today though for added help warding off nausea!
Congratulations rjm

getoffthecoffeetable · 25/03/2013 12:19

theboob every baby is a miracle. Try and ignore any snide remarks, some people just don't think before they open their mouths!

berrybomb · 25/03/2013 12:23

theboob - it's none of their business. This little bean will be just as loved by you.

berrybomb · 25/03/2013 12:25

Ooh, there's a December 2013 thread now! We are no longer the newbies :-)

It's weird how that feels a bit of a marker and that we are very slowly getting there.

jen252 · 25/03/2013 12:32

Has anyone else been insanely itchy? No rash, just really itchy all over. Not sure if it's down to my skin being really dry or what.... No stretch mark lotion for me, but I've been slathering myself in Garnier intensive moisture for the past week.

Feeling mostly ok today. Slept well, which seems to make everything else so much more bearable. Also getting used to eating small amounts every couple hours is helping!

getoffthecoffeetable · 25/03/2013 13:02

jen do you think you might have become sensitive to your moisturiser?

Just come over all sicky, actually feel better though as I've had no symptoms for a few days and was starting to worry!

CheeseandGherkins · 25/03/2013 13:04

theboob I have 4 live dcs and a daughter that was stillborn 2 years ago so this will be number 6 and maybe 7! I've had 6 early miscarriages too. I don't care what people think. Quite frankly it's none of their business! I'm surprised that I've been stretch mark free on my stomach throughout all of mine!

vix206 · 25/03/2013 13:07

Midwife thinks I am fine. I took a clear blue test and its positive 3+ as it should be. Just told to rest and not panic. I'm under consultant care due to haemorrhage after DS and then depression. Still bleeding a bit but feeling more hopeful. Fingers crossed.

Diege · 25/03/2013 13:09

jen I too have very itchy skin, esp on legs, and have put it down to failing to moisurise at all after a bath; it's enough to get in and out and get dry for me at the moment!
theboob I too am dreading the comments as this will be number 6 (as it is for stuff on this thread too). We also both work, have a big enough house etc etc but still people are so judgey...remember, it says more about them than you! Often when they exclaim 'you must be mad'...'how will you cope?' etc etc they are relating this to how they would feel. At least we can have a good whine together Grin
Vix thinking of you. As you say, what you need now is answers and hopefully an arranged scan will give you this.
Working from home today, marking students work, and have made a big decision. I am going to Wash My Hair!!!! The dry shampoo has finally run out and I am building up to it as it's at the horrible scratchy stage Blush.

Diege · 25/03/2013 13:10

Hey that is good news vix Smile. Is an early scan still an option in light of the continuing bleeding?

OneLittleToddleTerror · 25/03/2013 13:16

But surely "how will you cope" and "you must be mad" isn't judgy though? Because I said exactly the same to friends who have 2 unders 2s! Like you say it's more trying to put myself in your situation and imagine how hard it must be.

vix206 · 25/03/2013 13:24

I asked for a scan and she said the EPU wouldn't consider the bleeding to be bad enough at this stage.

Fairydogmother · 25/03/2013 13:37

Thats really positive news vix
