Dizzy81 aha! I knew I wasn't the only one!! My friend kept telling me it was a ridiculous thought! Smile

Hope you feel ok soon! I feel like I should take some symptoms off some people or you will all hate me. I've just had shreddies and a glass of orange juice for breakfast!

Dizzy81 · 25/03/2013 08:24

Anyone got any good cures for constipation?

retroelle · 25/03/2013 09:04

Awake at 3am googling ectopic pregnancy FOR NO REASON. I'm really tired now. Got my private scan this week - cant wait!

Going by my dates, I'm 7 weeks today, or 8 weeks based on LMP. Barely a sniff of morning sickness so far - hope it stays that way!

JBrd · 25/03/2013 09:10

Dizzy When I was pg with DS, I found that linseeds were the best thing to keep me 'going' - I'd put a teaspoon or two in my cereal, sprinkle it over a salad etc, it really helped. I'm doing that again now.

Lots and lots of water, lots of fruit, prunes are meant to be very good for this sort or thing.

Others swear by eating kiwis with their skins, but I find that a bit bleurgh...

Vix Fingers crossed for you!

CheeseandGherkins · 25/03/2013 09:11

Vix that is good news, keeping my fingers crossed for you

[getoff] nuchal scan can only be accurate from 11 weeks to 13+6, definitely not 9 weeks.

Feeling sooo sick again. I'm not liking this at all. Never felt sick like this before and had many pregnancies! Yuck.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 25/03/2013 09:12

Vix it does sound very positive. And I'm sure none of us mind posting your worries here. But if you find our chat on bump cream and constipation depressing, we can understand too.

I didn't use any stretch cream last time except my normal body moisturizer. But pregnacare has been sending me free stretch mark cream when I bought the 3 for 2 deals from boots, so I've got 2 of their creams for free. I guess I should dig them out and give it a go. I'm not a believer of them anyway. The stretch mark is deep under the skin, and moisturiser works on the surface. But I'm sure they don't do any hurt either!

CheeseandGherkins · 25/03/2013 09:12

Wrong symbols used, my brain is mush already!

MummaPanda · 25/03/2013 09:13

Morning all! Thinking of you vix
For those ladies already moisturising, make sure to include your hips and thighs as I moisturised belly like crazy with dd but nowhere else and where did I get stretch marks? Hips and thighs! Doh!

And would also agree with what cheese says you need a nuchal scan between 11 and 13+6 weeks. I'm surprised the private clinic would tell you otherwise! I've heard NHS being unable to offer any scan during that 2+ weeks (because they are too busy). I'm prepared to pay private if that's the case for me because I'm 38 and worried about Downs. My midwife said at booking in I'll get a scan at 12 weeks and it would come in the mail around 10 weeks. So I'm still waiting for my appointment to come through the mail.

CheeseandGherkins · 25/03/2013 09:21

Argh just had lots of jelly like discharge when I wiped, looked very plug like...anyone else had this? I've not had this before in early pregnancy, only ever when it was a show.

I don't usually moisturise my belly but will this time, no stretch marks there touch wood but a few under my boobs. Cocoa butter is meant to be good and smells lovely. I had some sanctuary cream for mums to be as a gift last time which was lovely too

OneLittleToddleTerror · 25/03/2013 09:24

Cheese I'm sure I read somewhere clear or white discharge during first trimester is normal. I have all of these nasty sypmtons. Definitely not feeling any glow atm!

CheeseandGherkins · 25/03/2013 09:28

Clear bits and white bits but jelly and not the "normal" discharge (which I also get in abundance when pregnant)

Thanks Suffolk, must stop worrying about everything! I need too get a weekly shop in but can't face it yet. Might end up ordering onlne for tomorrow. Still need to pick up some Easter eggs for the dcs so I'll need to go out for those.

PoppySeedBun · 25/03/2013 09:44

Morning ladies. After a lazy, tired but otherwise symptom-free day yesterday, I think MS has hit this morning. Feeling vey nauseous all the way into work - rocking tube carriage wasn't helping - and very jealous of the two ladies with their 'baby on board' badges.
Now nibbling pretzels from my desk drawer to try and dispel it - thank god I stashed them there last week in anticipation Smile
Good luck today, vix - fx for you

bizzybee1234 · 25/03/2013 10:05

Can you add me, please? EDD 7 Nov Baby No. 1

harverina · 25/03/2013 10:31

Morning everyone and welcome to the new pregnant ladies! Grin

Vix will be thinking about you this morning. Sending you lots of best wishes and hoping for good news for you.

My midwife didn't use the Doppler until my 16 wk appointment either so unlikely that anyone will hear heartbeats before then unless they get early scans (or unless it varies area to area?)

I used bio oil last time every day but got very bad stretch marks on my tummy around wk 34 onwards. I have very fair skin though so expected them tbh. They are silvery now. I will moisturise again but think that it probably is purists out control.

Louby my dd is allergic to nuts too - I will need to be careful this time to check for nuts in any creams or oils I use. What nuts are you allergic too?

Honey I think that discharge is fairly normal. Mines is quite pale yellow at the moment.

Not feeling too sick today. I am very grumpy Hmm on way to work - I am doing a university course on top of work just now which is funded by my work. First essay is due in on Friday and I have not even started it so have taken this week off on study leave to get it done. Wednesday I won't get anything done though as car booked in for new tyres in the morning and seeing midwife at the hospital in the afternoon. Although I saw the midwife at my gp clinic at week 5 this will be my proper booking in appointment Grin

Have been getting some pain in my tummy at the lower left side. I'm not sure what is normal tbh so not sure if should call and ask or just wait till Wednesday. It's not agony but noticeable at times, a bit like ovulation pain.

harverina · 25/03/2013 10:43

Sorry my re the discharge was meant for cheese not honey!

Saundy · 25/03/2013 10:47

OMG time to turn This Morning off anyone who has it on it the bacjground!! Story coming up is not one I want to hear, have avoided OBEM & the like on TV so I think that's my signal to stop laying about feeling sorry for myself and start to tidy this house & do some of the work I promised I'd do!

harverina · 25/03/2013 10:47

Sorry my re the discharge was meant for cheese not honey!

Saundy · 25/03/2013 10:48

I wouldn't worry about the pain Harv apparently stretchy aches are still very common for now & feel similar to what you've described.

RJM17 · 25/03/2013 10:52

Hi
Hoping I can join the discussions as I am due on the 18th of November.
I had a scan last week but could only the sac and now I am booked in for another on the 3rd of April and hoping to see more then.
I am sooo scared that something is going to wrong tho and I am so moody and miserable all the time because I can't seem to relax and enjoy being pregnant! Has anyone else felt like this early on? I have had 2 miscarriages previously so know why I feel like this but can't seem to shake it!! Xx

harverina · 25/03/2013 10:56

Welcome rjm and congratulations!

I have not experienced mc but this time round (baby2) I am finding it harder to relax. First time I was so relaxed and naive as to what could go wrong - it was bliss! There are a few women on here who have experienced mc and loss and will give you good advice though.

Thanks saundy that makes sense will try not to worry about it unless it really bothers me, and right now it isn't at all, just more aware of it being there.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 25/03/2013 10:56

RJM I'm scared something is going wrong until the 12 week scan results come back. To be honest, I didn't feel everything is right until the 20 weeks scan last time. So I don't think you are alone in feeling a bit scared. But don't let it get you down. Can you try to feel it's just normal, not pregnant, and maybe under a bit of a flu?

OneLittleToddleTerror · 25/03/2013 10:57

I didn't tell anyone until the 20week scan last time by the way. I was very convinced something is going to go wrong. So I just don't feel comfortable enough to say.
