waves thinking of you just now, did stbxh pick right now to go knowing you'd be possibly upset anyway with the anniversary? :( Thanks for you xxx

Hello BabyH and bluer - come on in :)

Re flying - I am booking to go and see my DD and GD in two weeks and already worrying they might think am further, will be 22/23 weeks by then...

PRAM IS HERE!!!!

thekatsatonthematt · 25/03/2013 16:13

I pulled out my maternity clothes last week and all my trousers are too big! I was about a stone lighter at my booking I appointment this time round, and combined with the new job (postie) which obviously involves lots of walking, I appear to have dropped at least one dress size although my belly is enormous.

Being on the larger size last time round I didn't buy that much, my wardrobe was full of empire line dresses and tunic tops that stretched nicely. But whith the weight loss and hopefully it being hotter towards our due dates (ds is a December baby) it looks like I'll be asking my mum for an advance on my birthday money to buy maternity leggings and some linen trousers or similar.

If anyone wants some size 18 marernity jeans from next to try pm me Grin

Oh, re flying, just make sure you've got your green notes to hand! Most airlines just want to be as sure as possible they won't have to divert a flight due to a mama going into labour...tis very expensive........

FoofFighter · 25/03/2013 16:36

gah where were you two/three weeks ago when I needed some Kat haha!

bluer · 25/03/2013 17:06

Iron tablet are yuk! Just another nuisance...had the horrible sour taste for ages.

BabyHMummy · 25/03/2013 17:13

Boosiehs for me baby moving just feel like my stomach flipping when you drive over a big bump in the road. Mind as mine has been using my ovaries as punch bags for the last few weeks i can tell where it is based on the pains. It only stops when the dog curls up on my bump.

I have been in maternity clothes since about 10 week. I had really bad HG and couldn't bare anything tight on my mummy

Woofers · 25/03/2013 17:25

thekat bagsy your jeans please GrinGrin

Sorry to hear that a few of y'all are have crappy times of it. But I am delighted to hear waves fancies going back to work and exdh is out out out out.

As for holidays, we have a week in June in Oxfordshire. Family gathering. Fortunately we will have the dowgues with us, so they will get used as polite excuses to retire early.

I'm on a count down to mat leave because work is so awful.

LexiLoganberryBump · 25/03/2013 17:30

I'm still in my pre pregnancy clothes, have been having a look through to see what I've got in my wardrobe that'll see me through, don't want to spend to much on maternity clothes, was thinking of getting a bump band so I can bridge hide any gap, not sure if that'll actually work but might be worth a try.

bluer · 25/03/2013 17:42

I've been in mat bottoms for the last few Weeks but can still get into some pre pregnancy tops and dresses. Been really fortunate to get full wardrobes from my two best friends so i've been able to just supplement with a few things as I go. how much weight have people put on? I've put about 8 pounds but it's all bump so far

muddybloodypuddles · 25/03/2013 17:44

Babyh has described it better - that flipping stomach feeling is what I get when I figure baby is rolling around

Ditsy79 · 25/03/2013 17:59

I've been in mat trousers since about 16 weeks. Got some jeans in M&P sale for a fiver, but they are far too big and keep falling down, so I've just ordered some others from Next to see if they're any better. I've been wearing my 'normal' tops, but they are starting to annoy me because they are getting too short - so have also ordered tops from Next.
Had my 20-WK scan last Thurs - all looking good. We are in team yellow - it's our first baby and we want a surprise.
We've got a hol booked for start of May - 2 hr flight, so hopefully won't be too bad.
Can't believe how quickly time's going - more than halfway there!

BabyHMummy · 25/03/2013 18:16

Ladies check out whether you have a mothercare clearance shop near you. There is one in sheffield and they have been doing mat clothes for £2.50 an item. I have bought loads and spent about £20.

As for holidays...we are going to my nan's for a few days over the Easter school Hols and then we have been loaned a friends holiday home in skeggy for whitsun week in May. We were gonna take the kids to London for a few days but i kinda figured that at 7 months pregnant i may not be in a fit state to walk around the museums etc!!

We have 2 wedding just after bean arrives which i am so excited for!! Any one who got any suggestions of places to buy suits or dresses for a 6-8 week old baby?!

Locketjuice · 25/03/2013 18:43

BabyH monsoon do gorgeous little suits/dresses as do next :) have a wedding in may so my little man will be suited and booted Smile could have timed it a little better and would have had a teeny one to dress too as it is I will have a big bump and wide arse to deal with instead WinkGrin

bluer · 25/03/2013 19:07

Ooh...my sister gets married four Weeks after my due date and I'm very excited about finding cute little outfits! One reason why we're going to find out the sex!

BabyHMummy · 25/03/2013 19:09

Haha lockett!! i am.sure you will look gorgeous!!!

I was meant to be bm at one of the wedding as its my baby sister's but fairly sure they don't make breastfeeding friendly stress bras!! Plus lactating bm want gonna look pretty in the pics! Instead i am providing a very young flowergirl/pageboy. Its part of why i wanna find out the flavour next week cos don't fancy the shopping for me within a few weeks of giving birth let alone trying to buy a baby outfit too!

BabyHMummy · 25/03/2013 19:10

Great minds bluer!!!

bluer · 25/03/2013 19:14

Ah it's my wee sister too...and the bridesmaid dress has been insisted upon Grin but no duties etc. the shop ordered a humungous size and will cut it down to fit, hopefully! If not I can always use it for camping!

muddybloodypuddles · 25/03/2013 19:39

babyh - i went to a wedding when DS was 5wks old - got a really cute suit type thing from M&P's - they've got a sale on at the moment! (although i'm sure they'll prob have another one before August!)

IJustWoreMyTrenchcoat · 25/03/2013 20:26

Hello

Beckett I can still get into my jeggings, but not my normal skinny jeans or work trousers. Still in my old faithful Topshop skater dresses, with a bit of added tummy now. All my (baggy) t shirts are now a bit strained. Go some bits in New Look and H&M maternity as I could try those in store, bu going to order a few more bits soon.

We had our 20 week scan today, everything is looking good and developing nicely. Was so lovely to see our wriggly little baby, I could see them moving but not feel it at all, so was a little surreal. We didn't find out the sex, but did try to have a little peek I must admit, but nothing spotted. None of the pictures show that area very well either. Got some amazing images with babies hand up, and legs crossed. Made me all giddy to see him/her again.

Oh, turned out MIL could not have came to the scan anyway because she was on a trip away! I'm sure she knew that all along... Hmm.

BabyHMummy · 25/03/2013 20:29

bluer haha too alike!!! I just didn't want the stress of trying to get into the dress so fast!

Abilee90 · 25/03/2013 20:35

Welcome new duebies :)

Nothing much to report here, another headache :/ never got them with dd pg so all fun. Dh is gonna be kicked in his special place if he dont sort himself out. Off to see adopted mum tomorrow, to have a chat and bit of break as dd is being very full on as teething. She has 14 teeth only 6 more to go, to fullset.

Still in pre-pregnancy clothes. Woke up with a bump that had soon disappeared after cheese cake for breakfast lol. (Only thing i fancied)

Feeling bit down today, anyone get this?

21 weeks, 19 left to go! Yay!
Hurry up little man
Xxx

beckie90 · 25/03/2013 20:48

woofers added you, I posted on here the other day when I got the request to see if you had sent one, cause I wasn't sure if it was you, and didn't want to add a random person to the group Haha, you must have missed it. but just added you on now :) xx

Chuckaluck · 25/03/2013 21:42

Hi all,

We are off to Cornwall for a holiday and might squeeze in a weekend somewhere but doubt it will be abroad!

Have been in maternity trousers for a few weeks and now finding it hard to wear anything apart from over bump jeans, they are so comfy!! Tops and dresses are still ok but maternity tops are a bit more forgiving!

Just got my second 20 week scan appt as baby would not behave last time. Any day next week would be fine apart from Friday as we have a wedding so of course, it has come for Friday. GGGRRR! Hate ringing up and changing it as receptionists clearly think you are just being annoying!

Oh god, dog has just been sick everywhere - oh well, good practice really!

22+0 Smile

DaveMccave · 25/03/2013 22:26

Glad to hear others have the same guilty eating pattern as me. Lots of junk, followed by a day of excessive portions of fruit and veg, and then I feel virtuous so back to junk. If I add olives and spinach and capers to pizza it totes cancels out the fact I'm eating takeaway, right? I've just added a portions of fruit and beg a day app to my phone which encourages me to remember.

I'm feeling a bit glum today. Dp is away on tour till next week. I've been stuck in the house with a dd on school holiday who doesn't want to go anywhere. So we've had a boring lazy day, house is a tip. Dp has a day off so he's getting pissed, eating 'special' muffins and enjoying the scenery in Amsterdam. I'm trying not to be jealous but I'm so bored, and even dragging dd out tomorrow wont be fun with it being so cold :( At least I'm not in work I guess!

Stopsittingonyoursister · 25/03/2013 23:43

Dave it really is too cold to go anywhere, isn't it?! We have amazingly escaped anything more than a light dusting of snow here, but have seen weather reports on the local news of drifts literally feet high not 20 miles from where we live. But the wind...my God, it is sooo cold!

I was in maternity clothes from about 16 weeks with this one. I can still get into my old longline tops that I used to wear over leggings, but tbh they just look a bit odd now because they aren't cut for a huge bump. I had a lot of mat stuff from DS and DD, so figured I may as well use it up now this is my last one! And it is so comfy - I had a pair of tights on for the do yesterday, and the waistband was killing me after about an hour and the baby was really kicking against it as well, so I guess he didn't like it either. Am just hoping against hope that I can get out and at least do some walking or swimming on an evening once the clocks go forward this weekend - but only if it warms up a bit! - otherwise I shall in mat clothes and the baby will be 6 months old....

IJustWore annoying is not the word for some MILs....

Abbie hope your DP has sorted himself out. I would second the suggestion of getting your BP checked out for the headaches. Have you had your eyes tested recently as well?

Hi to the newbies!

Holidays - we have a week booked in St Ives, Cornwall for the May half term, and I have to endure a trip to the MILs for Easter. She doesn't believe in central heating, lives in literally the middle of nowhere up a stone track on the side of a fell, and sticks rigidly to her own routine regardless of the rest of us (ie dinner is at 7.30, despite the fact that the DCs go to bed at 7 - 7.30). It's going to be fun time....!
