Too many posts to catch up on. Glad to hear from you waves.

We are driving 500 miles to go on holiday, about 8 hours solid driving, when I'm 32 weeks. And we'll have to drive back too! Last time this would have been no problem at all. This time with the PGP I'm quite concerned!

wavesandsmiles · 26/03/2013 08:51

Hello everyone, in terms of feeling a bit better, I'm thinking that I am a little, but mostly really worried about the ever increasing backlog, and wanting to show willing... Having daily IV anti emetics and the IV fluids is definitely helping tons though!

You are all very brave to be planning holidays etc - I'm staying put til after the baby arrives, but planning to spend a week up in the Lake District towards the end of August. DM is taking the DCs up there for a fortnight, and I am planning to fly up just for 5 or 6 days with the baby, but won't book that til he is here, as I need a name for the flights, and if he arrives late, then it won't really be practical.

22 weeks today

Abilee90 · 26/03/2013 09:58

Taking dd back to doctors today, she not eating and when she is, shes screaming between every mouthful. It just aint right. My dd has always been a fantastic eater, i refuse to believe that can change in 5 days. And i know shes not right when she is screaming while trying to eat milky bar. Just dont know whats wrong with her at all. She just isnt her normal self.

Sorry to rant on, just need some answers and doctors not just to give her antibiotics and not explain why. (Going to bang head against brick wall)

Xx

RuckAndRoll · 26/03/2013 10:10

Abi Mothers intuition, if you know something isn't right with your child, keep telling them that. Hope they have answers for you.

waves Glad you've found a bit of a balance with the meds/IVs. Take it easy and don't throw yourself straight back into full days if possible.

We were hoping to get two weekends away before August, just within 2 hours of home so not going far. Now we have DN christening and Grandads birthday both of which require flying down south for weekends and the associated costs so I think the money just isn't there to do it. Keeping an eye on the various sites to try and find cheap B&B deals.

It's quite sad how excited I am about it being Easter weekend. We've already pencilled in the babies Christening for Easter Sunday next year so makes it all feel really special. Logistically and liturgically it's the best weekend for us.

FoofFighter · 26/03/2013 13:54

officially halfway point today, 20 weeks today woop!

TrixieLulamoon · 26/03/2013 14:09

Afternoon Ladies,

Welcome newbies!

So very very jealous of all of you planning holidays. Wish I could go away before my little boy gets here.

Abbie I'm with Ruck. If you think there is something wrong I would just keep on at them.

Waves fingers crossed you keep on feeling better and can get back to normality soon!

I too am in pre pregnancy clothes, although they are rather uncomfortable when I am sat at my desk, and do quite often get kicks as I don't think baby is happy either! I ordered maternity clothes online from New Look as nowhere in my town sells maternity wear!! So just waiting on the parcel.

21+2

TrixieLulamoon · 26/03/2013 14:20

Abi appears I can't read. Apologies for the miss spell!

I'm blaming pregnancy brain. Sometimes I can't remember words. It gets quite embarrassing at work when I'm trying to explain something!!

MrsPennyapple · 26/03/2013 16:29

Hi everyone. Lots of wriggling going on here, and a bit of pelvic achy-ness of an evening.

Abi Hope you get on ok with DD at the doctor's. Be persistent, don't let them fob you off.

Waves Glad you are feeling better, but don't stress yourself out worrying about the backlog. You can only do what you can do, your employer will just have to get you some help.

Anyone heard from RememberingMyPFEs? She hasn't posted in a while, am hoping everything is ok.

MrsPennyapple · 26/03/2013 16:35

Ah yes, Labyrinthitis, I just checked back. Hope you're feeling better, Remembering!

BabyHMummy · 26/03/2013 18:25

Ladies help...went swimming this morning and ever since my stomach has been killing me. Its really tight and uncomfortable specifically around where bean is sitting. I am struggling to not of walk around and its making me feel quite sick. Any ideas??

FoofFighter · 26/03/2013 18:39

I had a day like this, in my case I think the baby had gotten down very low and kind of stuck in an awkward position, I did a few jumping jacks and it did help but was still sore for the rest of the day.

if you are worried, call the MW/mat ward for advice?

BabyHMummy · 26/03/2013 18:48

Thanks foof. It started in the pool and had to get out cos i was in agony :-(

Will see how it is tomorrow and ring Dr if no better xx

FoofFighter · 26/03/2013 19:26

Could be you've jiggled your pelvis while swimming? I'm finding breast stroke really really aches afterwards.

BabyHMummy · 26/03/2013 19:48

Was doing breast stroke at time. Was aching from stretching my stomach as i was swimming but then pain got a lot worse. Just feels weird. Thanks for help xx

RuckAndRoll · 26/03/2013 20:43

My stomach felt very 'stretchy' when I was swimming and the day after. The midwife reckoned it was just the muscles being in different places and being used differently. But Breast stroke is supposedly the worst one.

Keep an eye on it, if it feels like cramping and/or there's blood, call the midwife.

BabyHMummy · 26/03/2013 22:01

Thanks ladies. Think foof hit it on head. Baby did an almighty flip and pain vanished. Little sod was obviously getting payback for being squashed into my tummy tuck costume

RuckAndRoll · 27/03/2013 10:48

Crossing my legs in pain today after seeing a story on BBC news of a 15lb baby. ouch! Very cute baby, just not so little.

DH spent ages last night curled up on the sofa with his hand on my bump putting pressure on it to try and make the baby kick his hand away. It was definately kicking in his direction but he couldn't feel it. He's getting really frustrated he can't feel it yet. Hopefully tomorrows scan will help him a little.

20+3

FoofFighter · 27/03/2013 10:57

haha babyH, was probably the movement of the swimming stroke made it get squished a bit, weird feeling isn't it?

Just found out I won a FB competition to name some newborn lambs and won a farm pass wooo! it's about 80 miles round trip though?!

happy hump day everyone :)

JollyYellowGiant · 27/03/2013 12:56

You also need to be careful at the moment Foof as you shouldn't be around birthing sheep if you're pregnant, but well done :)

FoofFighter · 27/03/2013 15:02

Yep, not going to go myself, no point if I can't snuggle wee lambs!

RememberingMyPFEs · 27/03/2013 16:12

Hello everyone - sorry for the radio silence!
All is well with Beanetta and I'm on the mend from my Labrynthitis so can now read threads and watch telly again - thank God! I would wish it on no-one other than waves STBEXH

It's taken me an age to catch up on the thread - sorry I can't remember names of newbies but welcome Thanks
waves hope things are on the up now but don't push yourself hon

I'm HUGE and most definitely in maternity stuff now. She is also kicking 7 shades of crap out of me so I'm guessing she'll be a feisty one when she gets out!

Anyone else thinking about Hynobirthing? I've been reading the book and have found a practitioner but it's £250 for 5 classes which is a lot of cash....

RememberingMyPFEs · 27/03/2013 16:29

Apologies, forgot to add 22+1 (where is the time going Confused )

FoofFighter · 27/03/2013 17:23

Oh it's going so slowly yet quite fast isn't it? or is that just me??

Can someone help me with working out when I am going on maternity leave please? I keep reading the thing about working it out but my baby brain has kicked in and I'm getting all confused with the sunday thing and working it back or something Confused Blush you have to legally notify your employer of your intentions by 25th week of pregnancy.

EDD is 13/08/13 and I'd like to go on leave at 36 weeks?

RememberingMyPFEs · 27/03/2013 17:41

foof fully agree - it's flying by yet taking forever Wink
36 weeks will be 16th July for you Thanks

JollyYellowGiant · 27/03/2013 17:58

Google "pregnology". That website will tell you all your dates if you put in your due date :)

I feel the same. Sometimes I'm like "aargh, august is so soon" and other days I feel like august is forever away!
