Hi August ladies - just popping in from sept thread (I'm due 5th sept)
Quick question - I'm on dc3 and I haven't felt any movements yet (16+1) am I a bit early? When did you all start feeling things, I thought I would have by now. Only think I'm wondering is that with dc2 I had a low lying placenta so if I have that again maybe that affects it?

beckie90 · 22/03/2013 16:12

creamtea I'm on Dc3 too, some little flutters earlier on like 12wks but only very faint and not often could go ages without feeling anything. They got more apparant by 15/16wk but my placenta is posterior, so it could be you have low like you said or anterior, but everyone feels at dif times anyway. I know a few on here have only just started to feel them :)

Beckett3 · 22/03/2013 17:28

creamtea1 I'm pregnant with dc4 and couldn't be absolutely sure I'd felt anything before 18 weeks, it turns out I have an anterior placenta though.

BrieMonster · 22/03/2013 19:14

That's my birthday creamtea!! I am only on number two but had to wait til about 20 weeks to feel proper movements.. Was getting a bit worried too as I heard it was supposed to be sooner. Probably had flutters at 19 but was only sure at 20. Unstoppable now! Won't be long for you I'm sure.

MrsWajs · 23/03/2013 02:14

I've been lurking but not posting, can't seem to post from my phone anymore!?

Re: dentist - you've all thoroughly put me off having it done under local so I will just rearrange it for after baby is born I think!

trenchcoat I don't think you're being a bitch at all about not allowing MIL to come to the scan, it's completely up to you what you do. My mum came to my 12 weeks scan this time because DP couldn't get time off work but he will be coming for the 20 week one. I did however have my mum in with me when I had DD, just as well cus DP didn't cope all that well. Not sure whether to have her with us again but she's keen so will see how I feel nearer the time, will depend if I need her to babysit or not!! MIL will visit at visiting time, same as everyone else (no love lost there).

Autumn & RugBugs I'm a little bit like you guys and would really like another girl but I will be equally happy with a boy once the idea grows on me! I thought for ages it was a boy and now am back to thinking its a girl - still agggeesss to go til scan and DP says no to private one - harrruummph!

Creamtea Hello fellow September person (am due on 1st) I've not been feeling much either and on DC2 but last few days been getting definite flutters, mainly on the left though so suspect placenta is on the right!

Sorry mammoth post once again, I need to keep up more! I'm on nightshift so plenty of time to post now!

MrsWajs · 23/03/2013 02:16

Sooo gender prediction according to placenta placement suggests I'm having a boy. As does the chinese calendar thingy ma bob!!

RugBugs · 23/03/2013 09:59

MrsWajs we are in the same boat! I started off feeling 'girl' but I think that was down to habit (considering boy stuff is alien to me as I've never looked at it before) but then as pg progressed I thought 'boy' but really I just don't know!
DP has been loving showing the scan to the many women at work (girls school), we both enjoy the guessing quite a bit!

Realised my diastolic bp was up by 25 when GP took it other day and not seeing mw for another 6 weeks! I haven't seen my hypertension consultant since booking in at 7wks so might try and get an appt at next clinic.

Hello everyone - I had my scan on Thursday and everything is okay, which was a huge relief as the anomaly aspect is a bit daunting! We are having a little girl... Hope that helps even up the stats a bit.

:-)

Woofers · 23/03/2013 19:57

I am so cross with mu dmum. She calls me up rabbits on about her dog then starts taking the piss about name choices of baby etc. she's not actually interested in the fact I'm in agony with my hip and anti sickness tablets don't do jack.

And she's drunk. And anything I say is wrong or she takes the piss.

My dh has been less than sympathetic about my shitty week at work and is just being childish

I'm going to bed ConfusedConfusedConfusedConfused

PixieBaby · 24/03/2013 09:33

Woofers that sounds really irritating! Nightmare. Poor you.

@ Becky, I sent you a friend request on FB this morning, hope it comes through - not sure what privacy settings I have on these days. It would be great to join the group, if that's okay with everyone.

beckie90 · 24/03/2013 09:48

pixie yes I've got it Il add you now xx

PixieBaby · 24/03/2013 09:55

Thanks very much Becky - talk about prompt service! Have a great day. :-)

beckie90 · 24/03/2013 10:08

I'd just put my phone on and thought I'd check on here Haha great timing. You too :) x

Creamtea1 · 24/03/2013 10:18

Thanks for all the replies ladies :)
I've got a mw appt tomorrow, snow permitting, so am going to ask if she can listen for the heartbeat - and also check bpm against the gender theories!

GaryBuseysTeeth · 24/03/2013 14:51

Woofers, that sounds awful, hope you're having a better day today!

MrsWajs according to that chinese gender thing DS is a girl & this one is a boy..so we're still expecting it to be a girl (scan on Weds).

Creamtea, good luck (getting too &) at your apt tomorrow.

DH has manful the black death atm so just hoping he doesn't give it to me or DS.
Hope you're all having warm & cosy Sundays!

Woofers · 24/03/2013 17:25

I am a lot more rationa

Woofers · 24/03/2013 17:31

I have a premature posting problem.

I am also a little more rational today. Smile

Dh ate 4 asda cookies from the bakery all to himself on Thursday. So today whilst going round the shop I managed to slip in
Ben and Jerry's peanut butter me up core ice cream
Pink wafer biscuits
And carrot cake
All on the counter argument 'you ate 4 cookies!'
Job well done I think. Obviously I have tried all of them, to check that they are in date and of good quality.

muddybloodypuddles · 24/03/2013 19:50

woofers - can understand your cake measures entirely, he may have eaten 4 cookies but obviously to you the effect was as bad as him having eaten pink wafers, a carrot cake and the peanut butter ice team (which my sister thinks is pure heaven). Your diet sounds almost as good as mine - today was dh's birthday so we had some friends round, I made a choc fudge cake and trifle for pudding (I had to try both obviously) as well as helping dh eat some; toblerone, after eights and truffles

all the sugar today has meant the baby has been going a bit mad, my bump feels bigger and stretched today (nothing to do with the diet I'm sure)

20+6

GaryBuseysTeeth · 24/03/2013 19:52

Woofers, I actually lol-d at your premature posting problem!
Well done on such a great haul today...how is the Ben & Jerry's?
I want to try some but the last Core one I had was rubbish

A pre-warning for this Wednesday's OBEM, it's a very sad one.
I don't think we'll be watching it in Chez Gary.

FoofFighter · 24/03/2013 20:04

Muddy, I feel very tight and stretched at the top of my bump today, it's pretty uncomfortable. It's not even baby as that's below, it must be organs being squished up into that bit I think?

Gary oh? Thanks for the warning, probably won't watch it then x IDid anyone else catch Home Dleivery on ITV the other night? There's also that BBC3 show Don't just stand there! I'm having your baby! - from the daddy point of view and really good I thought.

Woofers · 24/03/2013 20:04

Peanut butter me up is awful. Disgusting. You defo don't want to try it.

FoofFighter · 24/03/2013 20:05

the white choc and berry core really honestly was horrid, and I heart B&Js!

RuckAndRoll · 24/03/2013 20:27

damn you all and your ice cream. I've just had the last cornetto and it's far too cold to consider going out for more so i'll have to make do with yogurt and fruit and other boring stuff.

Woofers · 24/03/2013 20:30

In defence of my high sugar high cal diet today - I have been living on raw carrots whilst having morning sickness, so I'm just having a bit of a catch up whilst not being nauseous. And he ate 4 cookies!!
