17+6 here.

FoofFighter · 27/03/2013 20:38

ahh many thanks

FoofFighter · 27/03/2013 20:38

err 20+1! why do I always forget

Stopsittingonyoursister · 28/03/2013 00:06

I agree, I worked out today at work that after the Easter hols, I have 11 weeks left at work before I finish. That all sounds scarily close!!

foof my work say you have to start your mat leave on a sunday and end it on a saturday (ie you can't start mat leave mid week), so you need the date of the Sunday before your EDD, and then count back 4 weeks - I think! Congrats on the FB win. MIL's house is also surrounded by sheep so will be housebound this weekend as well....can you tell I'm really looking forward to the visit Hmm

remembering glad you are feeling better.

waves how did it go with work? Don't feel under pressure to rush back.

abi how did you get on with your GP and your DD?

babyH hope you are feeling better. I remember breaststroke was bad for my back when I was pg before - something about the odd position of your stomach muscles and the extra strain/weight on your muscles generally?? Can't see how front crawl would be much good either though!

MrsWajs · 28/03/2013 02:05

I won't be finishing on mat leave until 5th August - some of you will have had your babies by then!! I just counted it and it's 19 weeks away :( hmmmph.

MrsW, I have a meeting on Aug 21st. And my section on Aug 22nd!

I will be working very part time though and will only go to that meeting if I'm required.

RememberingMyPFEs · 28/03/2013 07:29

I'm starting Mat leave on June 18 (34 weeks) but my commute is >5 hours round trip... Can't wait!! 11 weeks!
Still going to Glastonbury at the end of June Grin

Dexidoo · 28/03/2013 07:34

I'm not starting mat leave until 39 weeks, but taking 2 weeks AL before so hoping for not too early an arrival!

Scan day today, excited and a little bit scared

RuckAndRoll · 28/03/2013 07:41

I think I'm going off on July 12th at 36 weeks using up 3 weeks annual leave before starting official mat leave. Biggest brain ache for me is trying to decide how long to tell them I'm taking off. I'm pretty sure I have to go back when SMP ends at 39 wks but if DH gets the new job he's gone for, we can afford for me to take the whole year, which I'd prefer if possible.

Scan today then we're hitting ikea - not sure if that's a good idea on a bank holiday weekend!

bluer · 28/03/2013 08:31

I'm off from June! Got eleven teaching Weeks after Easter and then six Weeks of school holidays. My official maternity stay date will be the 18th August and my due date its 22nd. Pleased that my Easter holiday started today as I'm exhausted.

Abilee90 · 28/03/2013 08:56

Dd is ok now, just another nasty virus. Docs are sending her for a few tests to see if she has a weak immune system. I was right that she was well. Just wish they would listen to parents more often. Also the doc she see fri gave her antibiotics for no reason. Feel like i'm going round in circles most of the time with these bloody docs.

Back ache today and i have so much to do. Dh is driving me nuts already! Its like oh i'm going pub after work. Is it ok. Well not really as it will be dinner time and someone needs to watch dd so i can cook :/. I dont see why he cant go pub later in the evening when dinner and bedtime is out the way. Really had enough of his s**t. I dont see why our dinner should be put back just so he can run off to pub. I wouldnt mind but he went out sat and sun to see the same said mate as tonight. Its been 4 days really. I wouldnt mind but i havent been out since without dd to see a friend since october 30th. Because hes like i'm going out sat night. Every week for the past 6 weeks at least. Am i being unreasonable?

Sorry for rant really had enough now.

We have to start ML no later than 2 weeks before EDD so I my last day will be 12 July. Back to work on 6 January, we get less leave over here than in the UK, so will be taking my basic 18 weeks statutory pay, and then using all my holiday pretty much for this year to tag onto the end of it.

Work was a bit pants yesterday - I have so much to do Sad. Not helped that the way the systems are set up means that my boss can't access the system for the company I am in, so all the bits he has been covering in my absence are on his system which I can't access. Off to hospital now, then will see how I get on this afternoon in the office. Amazingly hard work to be honest, but my consultant will sign me off if it gets too much. Oh, and no-one thought I looked pregnant, just that i had a "bit of a tummy". And there was me feeling so proud of my bump!

GaryBuseysTeeth · 28/03/2013 09:26

I'm a SAHM...sorting ML sounds like a massive headache (don't think I could've returned to work after having DS).
DH gets 5 days of Paternity leave, so he'll be using most of his leave to have all of August off.

waves, you do look pregnant! If the snow has cleared there maybe go in wearing a bikini so everyone can see it Grin
Sorry about your dick boss.

Abi, Yanbu. I think you should sort something out (you out one sat, he out the other then 2 together as a couple a month) because if he assumes it'll be the same when the new one arrives you'll end up having bigger rows.
Hope your DD is better soon, and the test results arrive quickly x

foof, congrats on the lamb! I love going to the local 'city' farms in Spring. Grrrh.

We're team blue, I was expecting it to be a girl but we're both Grin about having 2 boys (there are 3 years between DH & BIL & they're close), looking forward to seeing how much damage they'll cause to the flat & each other Hmm

beckie90 · 28/03/2013 11:47

Congrats gary 2 boys together are amazing honestly :) so much fun xxx

TrixieLulamoon · 28/03/2013 13:03

Abi Glad your DD is feeling better. It is hard work seeing them so ill and noone listening to you! As for DH, give him a kick up the backside and tell him to stay home and cook for you and DD, THEN he can go out!

Foof How is the pram? Was it the Cameleon you got? I think we are ordering ours this weekend. We are going to break the bank and go for the cameleon 3 in the Sahara. They seem to have a high resale value if you look after them and the limited editions should be popular? Fingers crossed!

BabyH It is hella scary when you get pains isn't it? Every time i get a niggle i think something is wrong, then 30 mins later it has stopped! I overdid it power walking up the hill on my way home from work, I suffered for an hour or so after, tummy was very painful.

I will be going on maternity leave 21st July. Just in time for the school summer holidays. DH is happy as he is SAHD and is delighted he won't be alone with 2 DD's through the hols. I think I have been optimistic with the date, I will be 38 Weeks and with DD2 I was HUGE. I don't think I could have managed a full time job at that stage.

Congrats Gary! Lots of boys on here Grin

Crikey - you are all so prepared! I'm 19 weeks today. So tired its untrue and have a stinky cold. I am so happy I'm off for a week now!

20 week scan in 12 days and am dying to find out whether its a boy or a girl.

waves - I have no idea how you cope - you must be superwoman!

FoofFighter · 28/03/2013 16:28

RuckAndRoll · 28/03/2013 17:12

Apologies stupid laptop crashed then posted it twice

FoofFighter · 28/03/2013 17:38

BabyH just watch the being signed off sick as I believe your emplloyer can force you to start your mat leave early if you are signed off for a certain time/by a certain point x

Ruck, well done for staying firm! We don't have a choice as the hospital do not tell. How many people are still left to have their anomaly scan? Mine's on the 3rd.

BabyHMummy · 28/03/2013 17:51

Yeah 36 weeks i think but thanks foof Xxx

JollyYellowGiant · 28/03/2013 18:05

Mine is not until the 15th!

im 18 weeks today :)

Chuckaluck · 28/03/2013 18:43

I work in HR and Payroll so anyone need any mat leave advice, just shout!! By the way, mat leave can start any day. It used to have to be a Subday but it changed a few years ago.

My last day will be 5 July, taking 2 weeks holiday and starting maternity leave on 19 July. Will probably take 39 weeks so back to work in April 2014. Hard to believe that this time next year I will be gearing up to go back to work!!!
