Sept 2013?

legoboat · 22/12/2012 19:42

Hello - bit early, but I definitely had two positives this morning, wanted to check on drinking vodka this evening or not. I make due date 4th Sep 2013.
I had to terminate a pregnancy in late Sep at 13ish weeks because of incompatible with life diagnosis, so hope that doesn't happen again (I have a 25% chance but hopefully I'll fall in the 75% this time).

OP posts:

Catpuss that sounds promising. Is that enough of an increase to tell your DH?!

CatPussRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 11/01/2013 11:33

I don't know. Sad it's really sad but I don't want to rock the boat. We're on such a nice even keel right now. Hats the point of causing a row if its not sticking? I have my best friend supporting me now, she's so lovely, and I have all of you. I can make it to Tuesday.

andadietcoke · 11/01/2013 11:59

That makes a lot of sense. I understand completely. Hopefully Tuesday will come quickly.

Wincher · 11/01/2013 12:10

I got on the wrong bus the other day and ended up going all round the houses and still having to walk quite a long way home. Definite baby brain!

The nausea is really kicking in now... grr. Might actually try ginger biscuits.

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 11/01/2013 12:45

Oh not even one o' clock and need sleeeeeep!!!!!

SpanishLady · 11/01/2013 12:55

camomille - phew - that is great news!

am 5+5 today - seems very slooooow - my only symptom so far has been insisting on calling Ascot, 'Argos' - as in ' so about us going to Argos'

CharlW1 · 11/01/2013 14:13

Doctor was really lovely - I don't know about others but I do find male doctors much more sympathetic than female doctors. Hopefully I get an early scan but if I don't hear anything I will go private. So funny hearing about people's baby brain - I have had a few moments too!

jm233 · 11/01/2013 14:36

I got a Boots own digi test two days ago (only because they ran out of CB) and the lady in the shop assured me they were exactly the same. So imagine my surprise when the test came up 'pregnant'... And nothing else. Turns out that it doesn't tell you how far along you are. So much for being the same as CB! £10 down and no closer to my fingers crossed 3-4 result... Hmmmmmphhh

LexyMa · 11/01/2013 14:52

Big work rant coming up.

My boss never has a five minute chat when a 45 minute lecture will do. I have not yet figured out whether it is better to go to the same meetings so he doesn't need to re-live them In Excrutiating Detail to me after each one and then discuss some minor point... or go to opposite work so that there is minimal cross over time to have those "discussions". I am usually quite easy going about this but in my 6+3 grumpytastic state I am just about to blow a fuse.

Today's meeting needn't have involved me at all. But he looked me in the eye and begged for a note taker (usually well below my pay grade, not being hoity toity but it really is, also, I'm shit at it because I wander off into having tangetial discussions in my head based on points made in the meeting). Sat in a meeting room hotter than the Sahara for 90 minutes trying to stay conscious, not faint or throw up, and all the while I can see that he is writing notes just as comprehensive as mine and a fuck load more neatly written. By the time I realised I was swaying in my seat it was way past the point I could have got up to open a second window, and I don't think I could even have spoken the words without causing a rush of blood to the head.

I am now going to shut down the PC, get my shit together and try to go home early (plead 'drive before the roads get icy, do some working at home'). I bet that I will have my coat on and he will start talking to me about what are my plans for the weekend etc etc. He does not get body language at all and will totally fail to notice me take my coat off, sit down and sigh theatrically.

If there's any working at home to be done tonight, it will involve the internal recruitment website...

PoppettyPing · 11/01/2013 15:09

Even reading that made me want to punch your boss in the face LexyMa.
Everything at work is pissing me off right now too. I feel like I have PMS on steroids x a million. Bahhh! I almost wish the morning sickness would kick in so I'm not chewing my own arm off in hunger am seriously loving food right now. Lots and lots of food.

Anybody having insane weirdo dreams?

andadietcoke · 11/01/2013 15:24

poppettyping yy to the weird dreams. I quite enjoy it when I remember them (DH not so much after he got whacked round the head!). I remember this from last time.

lexyma oh god, I feel for you. We're doing the business plan for next FY at the moment and it's involving lots of deep breaths. They've been a nightmare since my mc. All I can hope is that this one is sticky and I'll be on mat leave by September. That's actually the only thing keeping me going at the moment!

LexyMa · 11/01/2013 17:51

It's just how he is. No social skills, no subtleties. Ever so nice, polite, generous, keen on developing his staff, but tedious.

Anyway, I am looking to move jobs (semi-internally so i am hoping there is no risk to eligibility for mat pay) so have just been planning when to tell them... Have to try to move soon otherwise I wouldn't be in the new job very long before going on mat leave. And then I have to tell new job, but hopefully it will be a promotion.

I am so glad to have you lot to blether to. I'd go insane otherwise! I don't even mind if nobody is listening really.

flipflump · 11/01/2013 17:59

I've tried adding myself here twice with no luck. Can I be added to the list too please? I'm 31, married, BFP 3/1/13, EDD 11/09/13 this will be DC1

Had GP app today, makes it feel more real having told someone, although sore breasts and nausea are a constant but happy reminder. Fingers crossed for all you ladies, Sept is going to be busy!

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 11/01/2013 18:02

Between my sore back and neck, I'm in agony. Now all my walking funny is giving me a sore hope, feel 8 months pregnant not 7 weeks.

I'm trying to get an early dating scan as I might need to go back to work early to get a second full mat pay. But I need to give them 8 weeks noticed to do that and if I need to wait until 12 weeks, that not enough notice!!

amiready · 11/01/2013 18:16

hello everyone, just off out to an evening with friends where can't drink and have to make more excuses - boo.

As for dreams - I've had some quite unsettling ones - 3 this week all about DH being unfaithful, with me finding out. Poor guy - he's a perfect husband in every way - it's been a paranoia of mine (for some unexplained reason), from way before I met him - but wonder if in my pregnant 'being vulnerable' subconscious it's rearing its ugly head. Hmm. Makes me wake up very sad and emotional. Here's hoping it stops. Soon.
Have a lovely Friday evening everyone.

Creamtea1 · 11/01/2013 18:18

Hi flipflop and welcome
Yes to wierd dreams here too - literally since conception day I reckon - my weirdest one involved Shirley from eastenders and I can't really describe much more as it was just too disturbing!!
Still no symptoms here other than sensitive nips. Took another IC test today just be reassured Blush was a nice dark dark line. Last cb digi will be done on Monday.
In real life I have told one friend and already I have been totally written off from any nights out etc being planned in the next couple of months.

jennimoo · 11/01/2013 18:49

I've had some weird dreams too, last night the worst. A dirty dream, about a fairly in attractive character on a programme I watched last night!

jm233 · 11/01/2013 18:51

Feels like everyone is a bit down in the dumps today- maybe it's something in the water Sad. I hope it all gets a bit easier for everyone when the baby news is finally out! I don't remember time ever going so incredibly slowly though- bfp Christmas Day seems like it was at least a year ago!!!

Creamtea1 · 11/01/2013 19:17

Yep JM I think that's half the problem, time is going soooo sloooooowly! Like you said the bfp seems like months ago and it's 2 weeks ago for me...

kimjayne · 11/01/2013 19:22

jm233 - i totally agree! But as you said, hopefully we will all be a bit more upbeat when we can share our news!
I just found something which I thought a few wine drinking ladies might be interested in! Im having a house party at weekend and have been racking my brain for a way to drink without actually 'drinking' ... anyway, it seems Asda sell a selection of wines called Fre and they are alcohol removed! They do Rose, white and fizz! And its only around £2.50. So im gonna sneakily pour it into a normal Jacobs Creek bottle! :) This might be a handy tip for any house parties? so thought id include you. Xxx hope you find it useful.

jm233 · 11/01/2013 19:23

Kim I have a bottle of the white in the fridge ! Let us know how it is!

kimjayne · 11/01/2013 19:45

I got the Rose one! Just hoping its convincing incase anyone else ends up drinking it! eeek! fingers crossed. Don't wanna give the game away just yet.

dakomponist · 11/01/2013 19:52

Oh dear!

Hmm Had been rather enjoying reading about those if you going through all the morning sickness whilst I very smugly haven't had even a sniff of it...

Until now that is.

That'll teach me!

TripleRock · 11/01/2013 20:11

Evening, ladies! Hope everyone is feeling OK today.

I have got my second physio appt on Monday. I am being treated for the SPD which still hasn't gone away properly after my 1st pregnancy (i started the treatment before i found out i was preg).

I'm starting to get really worried that SPD will be back with a vengeance now before too long :( Sorry to be a downer on things but I made the mistake of consulting Dr Google and have found some real horror stories :( :(

Walking like an old granny when I'm not even 30, sigh

CatPussRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 11/01/2013 20:45

Well. I have just told DP! He didnt freak out! Apparently he is waiting until after the next lot of blood test results before he panics! Im not sure how to take that! Its almost like he is hoping things will go badly! Confused
