Well still waiting and very fed up scan yesterday showed her head very far down so they could not measure her I have been 2cm dilated since 38 weeks why is nothing happening.

Yes yule I eat cos I'm starving but then feel sick cos not enough room to accommodate the food - greedy pig in other words

yes, yule ! Sick as a dog, but starving. Have eaten so much junk today, needed the energy to see me through a day on my own with toddler. Feel sick again now though

Me to Yule - feel sick coz really hungry, then eat but can't manage much before full, then feel sick and get heartburn ....can't wait til I can eat normally again (the Xmas pâté and Brie in fridge are talking to me!)

Weird- I've been feeling sick all day too!
Have eaten normal amounts but been sick a few times, was rather hoping it was a 'sign' but sadly it seems not.
I'm still feeling really nauseous now.

Hopefully it isn't a bug Terry - my SIL is a midwife and says body often 'clears out' in preparation so it could yet be a sign....

I had really bad diarrhoea for most of yesterday, and thought it might be a bug, but like you say, Terry I felt totally fine in myself - had noro last year and seriously could not move with it - it wasn't just the vomiting, it was more the aching pain and weakness. I think we are all clearing out!!!

And YES to the bouts of insane hunger - baby using up all our energy? I only feel sick if I don't respond to the hunger pangs quick enough tho.

I hope so Leobear- it's eviction time here and I'm desperate to get this baby out! My dates don't match the official ones so by my LMP dates I am 40+3.

Is this your first, Terry? Apologies, I haven't read whole thread. I went to 40 + 6 with my first, but it did happen naturally in the end - went to bed with no signs, woke up at 6am and waters had partially gone.

I'm usually hungry but can only manage a few mouthfuls before getting full so putting it down to that. Making chips and cheesy beans now, hopefully it'll see me through til morning. Well, I'm having a bath and leaving DP in charge of my food.

Just had to say goodnight to DP, next pessary at 12ish. A night alone in the maternity ward is the complete opposite of my birth plan but trying to stay positive in that anything which makes me a mummy is worth it.

I'm too scared to post in AIBU but am I? DP works for a very small business there is him and the boss who does his job and 3 more workers who do a similar job. Due to this, we told them about the pregnancy at 9w to allow them to sort something out for cover. They haven't.

DP has spent this week ringing everyone he knows to find out if they can cover him (they can't) and he has worked >60 hours this week (15h so far today) to get as much done as possible. They have form for this, ringing him on days off to cancel them, even ringing us in Cuba to ask if he could go straight to work straight from the airport after an 11h flight?

AIBU to think this is not our fucking problem? I'm going to hospital tomorrow to have my first baby. I could do with a bit of company tonight and instead I've had to spend it alone. DP will be knackered tomorrow and we have to be at the hospital for 8am.
