Hello and welcome to another shiny fred for Just Shagging graduates!

The last fred was nice and busy so fingers crossed we get lots more members Grin

We've just moved over from the Shagged Out Viroids Volume 5 thread, where we finally found out that a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!
The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

Our stats thread is here, so if you find us, please add your stats too.

There is also a Just Mumming thread for grads of the grads thread Confused Grin

And if you want to find out what Just Shagging is about or catch up with the undergrads go say hello to the Just Shaggers here, now on the 12th thread Thanks

Oh Tired do keep us posted!!

Just wondering if anyone has any pelvic pain/issues or SPD like symptoms? When I was in London mu osteopath did warn me that because I have quite naturally flexible hips and pelvis that I may be susceptible to this. Started feeling a bit of discomfort between legs kind of on inner thighs. Not pain but little achey when I get up. Lower back/ coccyx area also a little sore lately. Wonder if it is pelvic issues starting or not? Hmm Hmm

tiredteddy · 12/01/2013 14:53

Well tmi warning but have got extreme discharge going on to the point where I thought my waters went in the night! Eek. Def had some tightenings this morning in the early hours now stopped. Had similar symptoms with my first labour then it all kicked off properly the next day. Not sure if I'm excited or nervous Blush

BelleEtLaBete · 12/01/2013 16:26

Watching man vs food. If someone doesn't get me 7lb of seafood in the next ten mins, I might commit a murder.

Dysgu · 12/01/2013 16:49

Sounds rather exciting to me tired but that is from the comfort of 25+3 weeks so just living vicariously through you. Perhaps there will be a little teddy around imminently Grin

And as for pelvic pain pineapple I have been practically bedridden with it for the past 24 hours. I have SPD and am trying to keep my legs together as much as possible but the pain in my hips, and my left one especially right now, is horrendous. Added to the psoriatic arthritis I have which has flared up in my right shoulder, elbow and wrist, I have had an awful time. It all seems to come and go through so I am hoping that with tablets, bed rest and a pain pen (like a small TENS machine) it will improve enough that I can return to family life.

It is awful that my girls have got so used to expecting to find me in bed. DP is great - he is out with them now, but when they get home, they will simply head upstairs to see me as I have had so much time in bed in the past few weeks.

DD1 though has shown me what a lovely, caring little person she is. Without having to be asked she just sorts things for me, gets things I might need before I even need them and is great at looking after DD2 (obviously there is DP around most of the time too!) and they play so nicely together.

DP left early to go to the mainland and the girls played for 90 minutes before needing me to sort breakfast stuff (which meant I could stay in bed until 8 o'clock). Once I have sorted essentials, DD1 sets me up on the sofa and just gets on with it. She is fabulous and whilst I feel awful and in pain, she makes me so happy!

Sorry - that is enough of my moaning!

StuckOnARollercoaster · 12/01/2013 17:00

hello all Smile

ooh fingers crossed teddy

someone give belle that seafood

and dysgu your daughter sounds amazing - how old is she? what a complete star, you must be so proud of her

pineapple - hope the pain eases and doesn't get any worse

and lastly quiet hello to hooya Grin

All quiet here - am now 19 weeks and not much seems to be happening anymore apart from my belly is starting to look more like a pregnancy bump than just general putting weight on. No movements at all, although my notes say that my placenta is anterior so I know I'm less likely to feel something. Counting down to 20 week scan when hopefully I'll get some reassurance that bubs is ok.

I have had a mental block about not wanting to do any prep (that means buying cute baby stuff!) other than reading before we have had that scan although I did give in today and have been doing some online research about car seats - which is the only thing I want to definitely buy new. I've also started looking at prams but I think I need a trip to John Lewis or somewhere to see what I like, and then see if there are any bargains to be had second hand on ebay!

Dysgu · 12/01/2013 17:15

stuck she is 6 and is lovely. DD2 (aged 4) is lovely too but not so aware of stuff going on around her but they are both really good girls and get on so well 95% of the time. I hope that the 4 year age gap between DD2 and DC3 will not be too big for them all to be good friends.

wavesandsmiles · 12/01/2013 17:22

FX for you teddy

I'm still poorly - fainting easing up but vomiting to the point I think I am heading for dehydration. And both DCs have slapped cheek virus so need to sort out a blood test Monday to check my immunity. Stinking cold/sinusy thing now to contend with myself and me and DH arguing like mad. Feeling pretty low and vulnerable and hoping my 12 week scan on Tuesday cheers me up.

My mum is being lovely though, and she has offered to do a lot of the childcare when I go back to work. She had hoped to find work after dad died last year, but at 62 and pretty much only ever working with/for my dad her whole life, she hasn't managed to get anything Sad. I'd rather the baby was with family than in a nursery, particularly after I dropped into our one of choice unannounced to see a baby screaming in front of the window....

Hoping things improve with DH, but reassuring myself that I raised my 2 DCs alone (well, exDH left when DD was 3 months but emotionally checked out before DS was born) and they turned out fine. Quietly hoping that I am taking things "too much to heart" due to being ill and hormones, but also preparing myself for the worst iykwim. Bit gutted as we actively tried for the LO, although it only took til the second month of trying to get the BFP and I thought things were going to be a lot happier Sad

WingDefence · 12/01/2013 19:47

Hope you're okay tired and we're the first you tell when labour really does start!

waves I am rubbish but I didn't remember at all that you were having problems with your DH. That sounds bloody awful :( Why do you think it's going so badly at the moment? While it might be as bad as you think, don't forget that this DH is a different person to your ExH and you may be projecting what you expect to happen to this marriage after what happened last time?

Have you spoken to him and set things out? Have you spoken to anyone in real life about what you're going through?

Big hugs Brew

Hand to hold waves it does sound tough but I agree with what wing has said. Talk to him. I really hope (that this doesn't sound naff) that it's the preg hormones making it all seem worse and it works out for you. Hugs x

Yes ladies I'll keep you updated. Feel like something is in the air, not quite like myself. Hope it turns into labor properly! Will update Wink

somethingwittynot · 12/01/2013 20:09

Had contractions all day yesterday every 10-6 mins theb every 6-4 then 3-2 went to the hospital and naff all pain all day to the point i was only comfy on my front in the bath. They said babys head is so low if i had been dilated they would of felt it when they checked for dilation! Had contractions on and off today but nothing like yesterday

WingDefence · 12/01/2013 20:30

Blimey something, perhaps you'll be the first of us to pop?

OP posts:
Pineapple80 · 13/01/2013 03:50

Hope things get better for you Waves. Can only echo advice of the other ladies here and suggest a talk with DH to go thru how you feel etc.

Something - gosh you will have to keep us posted too! Hope you are ok x

Dysgu - thanks for explaining your SPD symptoms. Sorry to hear it has caused you so much pain and grief Hmm. I'm feeling ok and even managed a slow jog/walk today and will keep stretching and keeping an eye on things. Did you have to wear one of those support belts by any chance? Osteo also said I may need in if it happens to me...

Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday. DH and I are having a lazy day. I am finally getting around to dying my hair today, I am going SO grey these days! Shock

tiredteddy · 13/01/2013 07:45

Hope you are ok something

I'm def having some early contractions now. Just called my folks to come and get the boys so I can relax at home for a bit longer. Fingers crossed baby tired will be here by tonight!

BelleEtLaBete · 13/01/2013 08:09

Fx for you, Something and Teddy Thanks

BelleEtLaBete · 13/01/2013 08:11

Waves hello my dear. Echo the other posters; can you talk this through with DH? Un-mumsnetty hugs to you Brew

BelleEtLaBete · 13/01/2013 08:15

Ps Dysgu was it you up thread who said your school was on red alert for OFSTED? We got the call on thurs so I am currently up at 8am on a sunday trying to get my dizziness under control so I can go to work :(

My line manager has been really great, she knows I'm pg already as my job involves working at heights and I've had to sign off the risk assessment due to the dizzy spells. I'm new in post and we're not a faculty which is being visited, so it's amber alert rather than red for me. And I can blame any all of the many issues in my dept on my predecessor who is useless. But that period of awaiting the call is awful isn't it: it's almost a relief that it'll all be over in a week and we can relax a little again.

wavesandsmiles · 13/01/2013 09:20

Fx for you both something and teddy

Sympathies for those with SPD which I had really badly with DD. I had to have a support belt (Height of sexy glamour) and have twinges already. Stairs became a no go zone so I used to spend many days and nights downstairs and post birth I was even lent a commode so I could sleep upstairs ( no loo upstairs)

Will try to talk to DH this evening once my DCs are in bed and his are back home. A lot has happened this year with getting married, moving house, subsequent blended family issues etc. trying v hard not to project what happened with exdh in terms of my fears but it is tricky. He promised a talk yesterday evening but that never happened . I know that I am reacting badly because of hormones, past experiences and feeling so physically ill so fx a chat tonight will help.

Pineapple80 · 13/01/2013 11:31

ChildOfThe1980s · 13/01/2013 16:58

Hi Hooya! :)

All the best Tired and Something - so exciting.

I have my 20 week scan tomorrow. Not worried much as baby kicks about 5 times per day, so I know it's got healthy legs at least. Looking forward to seeing baby moving again.

tiredteddy · 13/01/2013 18:29

Am lying in hospital bed. I feel battered. But overjoyed. Baby Fern is here x

BelleEtLaBete · 13/01/2013 18:40
