Hi, Im due in early December and there will be a 6 year age gap between my dd who will be 6 in December and the new one, so I will watch this thread with interest.

have a 5 year gap between my last two so not as big as 7 but there are 7 years between my sister and me (I am the youngest)

I've got 6.5 yrs between dd1 and ds. Also have dd2 who is 5 .
Ds is only 6 weeks so may be a bit early yet, but it's lovely to have time with him while the girls are at school, and after initial overenthusiasm, I can now trust dds to hold him on their knees while I make a cup of tea.
Good luck to you both. I'm sure it will work for you.Smile

When our baby is born in July ds will be 7 and dd 5. I am looking forward to them being able to help with the baby, and to having time alone with the baby when they're at school.

Hi dpind

My ds's were 13 and 9 when dd was born and it's been great(for the most part).Am due july again so a small age gap instead and i think i'm more worried about that than i was about the big age gap tbh.Older kids love to help so get them involved and let them helpSmile

not yet, but i'm hoping to fall pg soon with my second, and ds would be almost seven if it happened now.
