Thought we should have a shiny new thread.

I need to get DP to get the pram down from the loft- we got ours back in August as he went to New York and was able to buy it there for about £200 less than here Grin
We've gone for the Uppababy Vista, it's lovely and has amazing little sun shade things that pop out so no faffing with those godawful parasols!

SpottyTeacakes · 29/11/2012 12:17

Yeah I was induced at 35+3 and had steroids.

I've just put my pre pregnancy skinnies on Grin

HoneyMum21 · 29/11/2012 12:26

I haven't ventured near my pre-preg jeans yet. Am quite scared of them. Confused

2blessed · 29/11/2012 13:49

terrywogan I've gone for the Vista as well. If I had only known I was expecting in April I would have bought one in NY too... What colour did you go for? I've gone for Mica. Soooooo looking forward to it arriving on Monday.

pre pregnancy jeans spotty? Wow! Good for you!

Terrywoganstrousers · 29/11/2012 14:03

2Blessed- we were boring and went for Jake Black as we don't know what flavour this baby is! It's got an easily adjustable handle too, as DP is 6'4" and I'm 5'3" we will need it! I like the fact the carry cot is suitable for overnight sleeping too, so will be happy to use it for naps.

giraffe213 · 29/11/2012 14:22

I had my eye on the Vista for ages too. In the end I got a Mutsy Evo, which is quite similar but a bit cheaper and slightly narrower (will hopefully make all the difference as the entrance to our flat is going to be a bit difficult to navigate). I've seen a few Vistas around though and always feel a bit hard done by as they look so nice, especially with that huge basket underneath!

Re changing bags I want this one but I can't decide whether to get it now or wait and get one reduced in the January sales (could use the free Boots one in the interim, it'll be big enough at the beginning but probably not once we start with the cloth nappies).

PurplePidjChickIsNotTheMessiah · 29/11/2012 14:23

He's all official, had his lunch in the changing room at mothercare! He's on lunch #2 now then going to test his new bouncy chair

Hope dh's hand is easily mended, utopian Sad

Yay for those out of hospital :)

PurplePidjChickIsNotTheMessiah · 29/11/2012 14:25

Giraffe, I've got 2 cloth nappies in a make up bag in my boots freebie, it's plenty big enough. Only reason I'll change is to a rucksack - the sling is so much easier than a buggy!

giraffe213 · 29/11/2012 14:31

Thanks, I was thinking I'd need to have more than 2 with me when out and about, maybe not though. Probably paranoid - I do tend to carry the kitchen sink around with me anyway in general!

PurplePidjChickIsNotTheMessiah · 29/11/2012 14:36

2 nappies, wet bag, cotton wool, change mat, spare vest+babygrow, muslin. Wallet, keys, phone, water bottle. Job done :)

Terrywoganstrousers · 29/11/2012 14:46

We're on cloth nappies too, but I would think you need more than 2 nappies when baby is small if you're out for a full afternoon say- I suppose they could go in a separate bag though.

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 29/11/2012 14:48

Remember there will be more room for nappies if you ate breastfeeding. I used to have to lug round soooo much stuff with the others. I will be a very happy lady if I get to ebf this time.

Yey for cuddles spotty, must have been lovely.
I've been helping my mum out all day and I'm exhausted! She's not even a demanding patient and I've not really done much just up and down stairs with cups of tea. I've packed her off for a nap and I'm having a doggy cuddle!

emilyeggs · 29/11/2012 17:31
