Thought we should have a shiny new thread.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Secondsop · 25/11/2012 21:24

Oh dated! Congratulations!! That must have been so scary (goodness me, your eye-watering bp!) but I'm so glad to hear that all is well. We had the same due date but neither of us will make it!

HoneyMum21 · 25/11/2012 21:29

Congrats dated so glad you've got your lovely little boy :)
Come join our postnatal thread?

WillYouDoTheFandango · 25/11/2012 21:29

Aw Dated that's lovely news and a nice healthy weight considering he was a little early. Hope your bp drops to a more normal level soon so that you can go home

Good luck Spotty I hope it ramps up in the night for you

Clarella · 25/11/2012 21:31

Fabulous news dated! Congratulations!

AlisonDB · 25/11/2012 21:33

Oh Dated, Massive congratulations!!!
We were all getting concerned, So glad you and little Joshua are both safe & well!
Hopefully your BP drops soon and you are able to go home.
Xx

Cookiesandcoffee · 25/11/2012 21:39

Eek dated congratulations. Must have been such a shock (& a bit scary with such high bp) but lovely news of your little boy and yeh good weight for having him 4weeks (?) early?
Exciting news from you too spotty, I'm hoping after my very long sleep tonight I wake up in the morning to some more lovely baby news from teamspotty
Oh COD you poor thing, people are so insensitive. Don't they realise we will tell them if there's something to tell ?!
Have lots of input for the 'sugary treats' topic but will refrain from doing so for the overall morale of the thread! We need to put our efforts into labouring babies!!

brooke89 · 25/11/2012 21:41

Awww what lovely news dated so glad he is here safe Smile hope your bp drops and you get to go home soon x

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 25/11/2012 21:42

Oh dated we were all worried! It's so good to hear little Joshua is here safe and sound and the hospital are looking after you. And good on you for not dwelling on your 'ideal' birth. The birth is such a short part of this parenting stuff and a healthy baby and mum are much more important!

Um....my pains might be doing something. Lots of snot like discharge and some blood mixed in, when I wipe (sorry tmi). Come on baby, let's be having ya :)

PurplePidjin · 25/11/2012 21:47

Dated that's fantastic! Day after Raphael Joseph and same weight too :o We're coming up to register him tomorrow, let me know if you need supplies dropped off (and don't forget to register him before you leave like i did!) Any chance they'll discharge you to NFBC for some tlc? It's luuuuurvely there.

itsMYNutella · 25/11/2012 21:52

dated congratulations! Like all the others have said, great to hear such good news from! FX that your BP drops to an appropriate level and you can take your new little bundle home and relax there together and get on being a little family ASAP!

spotty hope you aren't worn out by the torture treatment you've had the last few days and that things start to happen for you!

Stacey oooohhh that sounds exciting! Will be back to check in the morning for updates

DP has gone to bed with what sounds like a classic migraine (nasty migraine + vision disturbance :( - I've only ever had a couple of migraines but the one I had which was a "classic migraine" wiped me out for about three days!) so I'm off to nurse him.
Night night all! Good luck with all the twinges!

leobear · 25/11/2012 21:55

Wow, congratulations Dated!

And Spotty - good luck!! Do you have a TENS or anything like that?

Walnut8 · 25/11/2012 21:56

That sounds exciting stacey ... hope its still progressing.

Our delivery of new cot mattress and moses mattress finally arrived. Packaging has been slashed through to the foam core Sad Angry. So disappointed.

spotty hope its ramping up!

Walnut8 · 25/11/2012 22:07

Wish I had the guts to try the curry. Are there any gentler methods of getting things moving this way if you know what I mean Blush?

pmgkt · 25/11/2012 22:09

Congrats dating, it seems that pah has been busy with mn people. Hope you are able to go home soon, but in the meantime just enjoy having chill time with someone else doing food etc. I was on the floor below you when he was born for an appointment.... Small world.

Walnut8 · 25/11/2012 22:15

Oh DATED!! Sorry huge congrats, so glad everything is okay! Sounds like it was stressful but glad its all been worth it. Thanks fro coming back and letting us know!

Cookiesandcoffee · 25/11/2012 22:24

Bellaboo123 · 25/11/2012 22:26

EggsMichelle · 25/11/2012 22:32

ellliebelle · 25/11/2012 22:35

Excellent news dated huge congratulations and good luck on bp coming down soon

spotty great about the contractions hope things either speed up a bit or you manage to get some rest tonight :)

utopian i eat creameggs like that too bithve to agree with stacey and willyou that all this biscuit/chocolate talk is depressing when you have gd :(

I have decided vitsitors will not be allowed through the door without costa hot chocolate and lemon and poppyseed muffins :) once baby is born

DyeInTheEar · 25/11/2012 22:48

I'm due next Saturday with DC3. I'm expecting to go to 42weeks as I did with my previous 2 pgs - so maybe more like 15th before I go into labour.....but really hoping this one will be on time as feel like I've been pregnant for years and am bloody grumpy and foul to be around

Congratulations to everyone who's had their babies already. I hope you're doing well and getting some rest Smile.

Terrywoganstrousers · 25/11/2012 22:51

Lovely news all round! Smile
It all seems ages away for me as I must be the last due date, have midwife on Weds and book my position scan, and confirm home birth hopefully.
I won't feel as if its imminent until the HB pack is dropped off on the 10th December I don't think!

Stacks · 25/11/2012 22:53

Congratulations Dated, lovely name and a gear weight. Hope your BP cones down soon and they let you home.

Spotty hope those contractions go somewhere. Will be checking guest thing in this morning Grin

Stacey they all sounds promising. Keep us informed Grin

Cot and mattress bought today, and lots of things from amazon being delivered tomorrow. Then a few days of being organised and hopefully I'll be ready for this little'un.

Would probably be best if he waits till his due date really (9th) as that's best for DH and holidays. However, I'm sure we'd manage just find if he wanted to turn up sooner, getting very jealous of you ladies with your LOs. Envy

Stacks · 25/11/2012 22:53

Gear = good. Silly iPhone.

Stacks · 25/11/2012 22:54

Ack. Too many typos to mention them all. Should really pay more attention to autocorrect and typing.

MyDaydream · 25/11/2012 22:54

dated congratulations!
spotty good luck, hope your not waiting too much longer.
Had a super lazy day today, spent most of it lounging in bed. Managed to win a moby wrap on eBay today, so happy about that. Although more excited about my pram coming tomorrow!
