Thought we should have a shiny new thread.

Oh how have I never used a chocolate bar as a straw? Do you just bite the ends off and suck?

I want to join supermarket sweep, as unpleasant as it was, I miss the pains this morning, they were reassuring! I'm in the bath now, avoiding the poorly dog who won't leave me alone, he's so clingy when he has a cough!

HoneyMum21 · 25/11/2012 19:42

no no no Ellie - the only way to eat a twix is by eating the biscuit off the bottom then rolling the caramel up and eating it all at once. Same as only way to eat a kitkat chunky is to eat the chocolate off the end, then down the slightly thinner chocolate side, then the thicker side, then the other end then eat the wafer in layers. I need to get out more.

Bellaboo123 · 25/11/2012 19:51

Totally agree on the kitkat chunky...off to try twix technique!

Twinges down in Fango...normal???

brooke89 · 25/11/2012 19:55

Yes bella and sharp pains which I think is baby on cervix... Mine haven't resulted in
anything yet Sad

What about a cream egg? I nibble the top off suck out the inside and then munch the empty shell Grin mmmmm

EggsMichelle · 25/11/2012 20:12

Mmm... Cream egg! I want chocolate now!

Clarella · 25/11/2012 20:15

Ah we find ways back to biscuit and chocolate dunking! Hope to get back to that tomorrow :)

Oh no spotty thats so rubbish you poor
Thing feeling snotty as well ans trying to get baby out and [tea] and Flowers

I didnt cope with the builders for a short while a couple of months ago but im fine now. No more in the house. We'd have sacked them tbh but felt given the whole baby imminent thing better the devil you know. Dh keeps records of photos, phone calls and emails incase this ends up in small claims court. Basically the top guy has just questioned why the roofer is coming back tues and where these cracked tiles have come from. Err to fix the tiles the roofer.had to break in order to fix the flashing you put on mate. Plus there were broken tiles anyway! Plus the contract states a 10 year guarantee and it hasnt lasted ten days!

Anyway im loving feeling baby stretching out in my calpol lined uterus - making the most of it in these last few days!

Right wheres the next baby then.... sounding promising for some of you?!

utopian99 · 25/11/2012 20:22

I nibble the top off a creme egg and then lick the insides out like an ice cream cone, although try not to be seen doing this anymore since Dh pointed out it looks like licking...something else... Blush

Terrywoganstrousers · 25/11/2012 20:23

Twirls would probably work, but maybe not in tea, too chocolatey. OK in hot choc or coffee I feel.

utopian99 · 25/11/2012 20:24

clarella good for your Dh- make the most of the rectification period too!

Good luck spotty, I do hope it all gets going soon and your mum calms down..

brooke89 · 25/11/2012 20:25

Wow I really do love chocolate!

clarella you should contact cowboy builders haha I love the guy that presents that!

pmgkt · 25/11/2012 20:29

Milky ways must be eaten by nibbling off the chocolate, then rolling the inside into a ball. Then in the mouth in one go. Then repeat as they are only small

Terrywoganstrousers · 25/11/2012 20:30

I keep getting shooting pains up the front of my bump, kind of inside IYSWIM, whenever i'm upright. I think it must be the way the baby is lying, feels like its bouncing on my cervix!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 25/11/2012 20:35

I hate you lot with your chocolate and biscuit talk!! Less than 3 weeks and I can eat nice things again!

OP posts:
WillYouDoTheFandango · 25/11/2012 20:37

Enough with the chocolate and biscuits already. It's not nice to tease the diabetics! Envy I am going to arrange a revolt, seconds, stacey, spotty, and Ellie (? Or is it Emily - baby brain) join me and raise your carrot sticks high! Grin

WillYouDoTheFandango · 25/11/2012 20:38

Haha stacey snap cross post!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 25/11/2012 21:06

willyou I would love to revolt but I'm not sure there's much we can make them jealous of!!

OP posts:
itsMYNutella · 25/11/2012 21:07

I am sorry: to all the diabetics and GD sufferers I apologise for repeatedly mentioning biscuits. And biscuit dunking. Really I know it's very rude and selfish of me.
Perhaps we should start a biscuit thread in Chat or somewhere instead? Except then we might miss some twinges and baby news Hmm There is no way I could keep up with another thread!
I just mentioned to DP that you are still talking about biscuits and he said "hmm biscuits" and went to the kitchen for one of my homemade oatmeal and raisin cookies (they are V scrummy). Although I discovered that you shouldn't eat too many of them because they will make going for a poo very hard :( I think all the oatmeal sucked up all the moisture Confused sorry everyone, I'm sure that was TMI!

SpottyTeacakes · 25/11/2012 21:09

Contractions have started not sure if they'll amount to anything still pretty mild especially compared to how I know they will be eek!

AlisonDB · 25/11/2012 21:11

Ooooh exciting Spotty!

CODwidow · 25/11/2012 21:12

If I get one more 'any news' text AngryAngryAngry

datedthedevil · 25/11/2012 21:16

Hi all, I'm sorry to go so quiet.

I attended my regular midwife appointment last Monday 19th November and was told to attend princess Ann maternity hospital in Southampton immediately.

There they told me I had severe preeclampsia (my bp was 213/128) and they would need to induce me that day. They then found me a bed in hdu where I stayed until Wednesday.

I am really happy to announce that Joshua Christopher was born in Tuesday 20th November at 18.59 weighing a small 6lb 2oz. (he was due on 13th December).

Although nothing in my birth 'plan' or 'wish list' was possible due to the emergency nature of the birth it is all worth it as my ds is the most gorgeous baby. It's Sunday now and im still stuck here in hospital waiting for my bp to drop to a more normal level

I'd just like to wish good luck to you all

Loads of love xxx

CODwidow · 25/11/2012 21:19
