Hmm all gone quite now. I'm completely uncomfy and still getting a hard belly but not hurting so much and not regular. Serves me right for thinking this might be it.

Oh spotty hopefully things will start moving soon!

Argh my mum just text me again!!!!

Clarella · 25/11/2012 15:51

Oh well youre very welcome here then terry! Hmm chocolate finger straws .... will get them in when better!

Wink

spotty have you sorted out visiting mum yet? Hope youre doing ok.

'Are things happening' phone calls have started; i shall be making full use of www.haveyouhadthatbabyyet.com as of tomorrow
Have kept full glass of diorlyite in plus a little chicken soup so far so good - hope to plough on and resume carb loading tomorrow!! Grin need to resume epo, dates and raspberry leaf tea too but maybe a bit late now! However i dont want to go into labour in current state. Lo nice and active again after a marginally worrying quiet period and seems to be loa again.

Im actually getting no braxton hicks anymore (except what ever was going on yesterday) though baby feels exceptionally low. I may not have the sweep on tuesday if i still feel crap - what do you think? Im pretty sure the way sods law is going at the moment it will work (eg NEW roof leaked for 5th last night ffs!!! They are coming tues am!) This baby is going to beat the builders!

(Oh dear i think dh is in heated discussion with builder :( )

itsMYNutella · 25/11/2012 15:58

Clarella I think it's amazing that you've a managed to cope with builders, let alone coping while pregnant!

Spotty is your Mum a massive worrier or a bit of a busybody? DP's Mum is an epic worrier - but fortunately she'll ring DP not me :o -she is frightened of touching dogs, cycling, eating cream -but not cheese or creme fraiche - and eating anything or going anywhere that she isn't familiar with.

Terry now that we've cleared that up your are a very welcome addition! I was waiting for someone else to mention about nibbling the ends off a biscuit and using it like a straw - best with Kitkats! :)

SpottyTeacakes · 25/11/2012 16:02

She just wants to be first to know I think Angry

I've developed the shittiest cold overnight sore throat and bunged up rubbish!

PurplePidjin · 25/11/2012 16:10

Mammoth feeding session, dp's gone for a nap in disgust at his lack of cuddling opportunity :o

Penguins make good straws, but my favourite is custard creams in coffee

Bellaboo123 · 25/11/2012 17:05

Hello all

Welcome Terry

Do you remember spiral chocolate bars...perfect from sucking up tea or hot choc as they had a whole running through the middle!

How ru getting on spotty is LO's arrival imminent?

emily where did you get a leopard print nursing bra from (stamps feet I want one!!!)

Well I've been an emotional wreck today, crying over the silliest things...poor DP! Back is getting worse not better...38w on Tuesday another 2, possibly 4 weeks of feeling like this scares the shit out of me Sad Confused

clarella glad you're keeping your food down today...get your strength back up just in case! You are so brace having builders in too!!!

Just had a glass of prune juice to keep things moving down there! Hmm

Bellaboo123 · 25/11/2012 17:06

Oh and pidj and honey loving both you're updates...you sound like pros already! Grin

emilyeggs · 25/11/2012 17:13

Leopard print bra from h&m, Grin looked in m&s and all so boring.....

soapnuts · 25/11/2012 17:16

oooh there sounds like a few things happening for a few people here.... Still think you're going to win the race tho Spotty - hope you also win the Mum battle too! I reckon you are totally entitled to see who you want when you want when you've just had a baby - whatever you say, she'll forgive you when she finally meets her grandchild!!

2blessed - 36 weeks... eeeek! me too - and I still haven't started the Raspberry leaf tea, finished my baby washing, packed my hospital bag or finished the hypnobirthing course!! My excuse is that I've caught DS1's bug and have spent the last couple of days near the toilet.... that wasn't part of the plan! Am feeling some serious sympathy for Clarella at the mo!

Not feeling like chic biscuits at the mo but even so..... choc fingers straws - yum yum!

SpottyTeacakes · 25/11/2012 17:20

Nothing happening here got some more minging dinner! Ds obv knows 35 weeks is too early!

ISpyPlumPie · 25/11/2012 17:31

Welcome Terry.

Hope things are going well Spotty. Really sympathise with you about all the texts. Last time, MIL drove me mad with calls asking if there was any news all the time (however thankfully it did stop once I was eventually at hospital) which is another reason I'm hoping that LO puts in appearance sooner rather than later to cut down the opportunities. Might have to use Carella's link if not.

Had quite a lot of twinges today and BH starting to get painful. Was a moment in Asda when I started to think something was really happening (must be something about supermarkets) but it's probably just wishful thinking.

Have made a few plans for the next week or so of things that are nice to look forward to but can easily be cancelled/rearranged so I'm not focusing so much on willing the baby to come out. Keep conveniently forgetting that I have still got two days left in work as well. Did have a bit of random nesting thing on Friday making sure desk was completely clear "just in case" though. Despite all this will probably end up being riduclously overdue again [g.rin]

SpottyTeacakes · 25/11/2012 17:38

I struggle with supermarkets too, maybe we should all go and steal some trolleys, fill them with heavy stuff and push them around?!

Bellaboo123 · 25/11/2012 17:54

Snap was in tesco and having some twinges and BH! I think we've cracked it...lol

SpottyTeacakes · 25/11/2012 17:57

We could have races! Supermarket sweep Wink

brooke89 · 25/11/2012 18:05

A friend told me that she galloped around the house and it brought on labor.. I just tried it for 20 mins ( making horse noises too) and not even a twinge! Think she was having me on!

I would LOVE to go on supermarket sweep!

Secondsop · 25/11/2012 18:19

Lol at supermarket sweep - certainly more palatable than the other kind of sweep to bring on labour.

brooke89 · 25/11/2012 18:21

We'd all be straight to the biscuit aisle haha Grin

emilyeggs · 25/11/2012 18:34

Cooked a roast and eaten to much Sad now I cant get comfy any way I sit or stand, not even the ball helps. Don't think I'll be having any pud pud. Mini eggs seems happy though, squirming around.

ellliebelle · 25/11/2012 18:40

I have to say i feel twix's are the best chocolate straws :)

clarella hope you are still managing to keep things down and are on the mend i think i would be a blubbering mess if i was that unwell :(

spotty sorry to hear things are moving so slowly and you are being nagged by your mum :( hope things progress soon for you and still feel very Envy that you getvto meet baby soon

SpottyTeacakes · 25/11/2012 18:42

Well labour ward is so busy they're diverting people to other hospitals so probably best I keep my legs crossed for a while Grin

emilyeggs · 25/11/2012 18:48

That must be horrible being diverted to another hospital, you've been planning all along to go to one hospital and end up in another, poor women

Bellaboo123 · 25/11/2012 18:58

Thanks emily

Count me in for supermarket sweep love that lol!

SpottyTeacakes · 25/11/2012 19:00

Yeah it rarely happens round here but I would not be happy having to go to scummy Worthing if I wanted to be here!

Oh I really want to do supermarket sweep too! I'm feeling crampy but not at the same time as having tightenings so assume it's nothing?

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 25/11/2012 19:17

Well lots of pain but I don't think they're contractions so I'm trying to get comfy. Easier said than done (as is changing dcs high sleeper beds and wash their hair in the bath).

spotty you have my sympathy, at least I'm at home.
