New thread! I've lost my lovely spreadsheet so if someone can add in the stats and update, that would be wonderful; I'm sure someone else had a spreadsheet that was as anally organised as me

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Section booked for Thursday. My understanding is it would be straight for section on the basis the baby is the wrong way, and even if head down there are risks with the cord. I'm telling them that I have increased tightenings but they don't seem bothered as they aren't coming to anything.

BuntysFestiveCollocks · 14/12/2012 08:14

How exciting: a baby for Christmas!

Have they got you hooked up to a monitor? I'm surprised they're not bothered [fshocked]

pmgkt · 14/12/2012 08:45

Not hooked up, although I did have my daily trace last night. As I say they aren't regular but have woken up with them. Doctor will be around in a mo, so I'll mention it again. She has just Jenny. Head down today which is more comfortable for me but I'm sure it will move. Minimum of the weekend in

happyhow · 14/12/2012 11:29

I went to see The Hobbit last night - amazing!! Picked up a tipsy hubby on the way home who then proceeded to snore so I couldn't get to sleep.

Hoping our bathroom will be finished today so that we can get into the house over the weekend... Starting to get really pissed off and frustrated that I can't get stuff unpacked and am running out of time.

Pmgkt that's great that you have a date booked in now.

Birdies glad the sweep is showing signs of something....

PricklyPickleInAPearTree · 14/12/2012 11:40

Happy we're off to see The Hobbit on Sunday, did you make it through without having to get up for a leg stretch/pee. I'm slightly concerned as its a million years long. Also the cinema makes my Bubs go crazy because of the loud noises and I usually spend most of the film being kicked in the fanjo Confused but I guess this will be my last cinema trip for a long time.

Hope everyone else is feeling good today.

Bunty Hope your last day of work is enjoyable.

birdiesinthesnow · 14/12/2012 13:11

Thanks happy! I think you meant bunty though Xmas Grin

Anyone seen both the James Bond film and the hobbit? If you could just see one of them, which would you see? I haven't been to the cinema for nearly two years but might have the chance to go this weekend!

I've got to have a filling next week (by a dentist who looks about 18). Anyway, is it ok having the anaestheticinjections when pregnant, does anyone know?

happyhow · 14/12/2012 13:25

Whoops! I knew it began with a B!!

I think certain anaesthetics are ok but as long as your dentist is aware you are pregnant, it shouldn't be a problem. If you're worried, ask if it can wait until after baby is born?

I didn't make it see Skyfall but thinking of taking myself off to the cinema one day if it's still showing.

pmgkt · 14/12/2012 13:54

I'm not sure about anisthestics, but I know I previously had a filling both with and without it and that needle hurt more than the filling so if you are concerned then maybe try it without and say if you can't cope then you will have it then

BuntysFestiveCollocks · 14/12/2012 13:56

Thanks, prickly and happy. Last day so far very chilled, as I've trained my replacements so well they're doing all the work Xmas Shock

Got a lovely card, a beautiful rag dolly, and a fairly sizeable voucher for mothercare, so feeling very loved at the moment!

I haven't seen the hobbit, but skyfall was fantastic.

Local dental anaesthetic is fine, birdies. I had a grey filling that split in this pregnancy, so I had to get it removed, and now have a lovely white one instead. Wish they were free in pregnancy!

octanegirl · 14/12/2012 14:15

Hello all...quietly sending myself mad here worrying about stillbirths and other nasties....hard not to at this stage (36+2). Lots of sleepless hours in the middle of the night.
Other than that am surrounded by the detritus that always goes with major building work - am having two bedrooms coverted (from stables!) in the old barn I live in and at present don't have a bedroom at all! Bed is in the sitting room.
Really hoping it will be ready before baby comes but as of today there are still no windows...or ceilings..and insulation all still exposed. Aghhhh!!!!!

AppleCrumples · 14/12/2012 14:23

Hi all

bunty sounds like a good day and now you'll be able to put your feet up for a bit.

pmgkt wow next thurs that seems so soon. Can't believe how many are nearly due, I've still got 6 weeks and it feels like a lifetime!

happy hope you enjoyed Hobbit. Loved the book but a bit Hmm about splitting to 3 films.

Dd show was so cute. The little ones are lovely. Poor thing fell over when she went up on stage and ended up with a group of teachers around her! But she was fine and remembered to put baby Jesus in the manger Xmas Grin

BuntysFestiveCollocks · 14/12/2012 14:43

octane I am the same; total headcase worrying myself, so close to a happy, healthy baby and still worrying things can go wrong. This is why I'm stopping after this one is here hale and hearty; I can't do this to myself again.

apple sounds lovely! I can't wait to get home tonight and put my feet up. I just wish it was my turn for a lie in tomorrow! Ah well, Sunday will come round soon enough, and then Monday onward I can lie in as long as I want! Xmas Grin

SpringFlowers · 14/12/2012 14:48

Wow it's starting to all seem quite real now, especially with sections next week and sweeps yesterday. I'm starting to feel more like I'll have a baby soon (35 weeks today) and it's a bit of a surprise somehow! I'm not at all ready, I should really pack my hospital bags just in case I have to go in. The uncertainty of when the baby will come is very unnerving...

SpringFlowers · 14/12/2012 14:52

Octane & Bunty I've been really worrying in the night too, I'm hardly getting any sleep. Everything seems so much worse at 3.00 am and I find myself in a flap about the most silly things. Then I fall into the deepest sleep at 5.00 am just before dd3 wakes up at 6.00 am. I'm sure it's normal but it's bloody annoying.

bealos · 14/12/2012 16:09

Hobbit sounds ace! Really want to go (despite crap critic's reviews). I am a bit Hmm too apples over such a small book running over 3 x 3 HOUR films, same as the enormous Lord of the Rings.

On a plus point though, showed ds1 (7) the Hobbit trailer and he wanted to start reading the book. He's on page 2 now. It could take him a while!!!

spring octane bunty I sympathise too.... There's something very irrational about one's brain at 3am. I end up freaking out about the oddest things (next door neighbour's tree, for example) that really I don't care about when it comes to the morning when I wake up.

Tugstonia · 14/12/2012 16:57

Octane I really sympathise, am a paranoid bag of anxiety about something going wrong and have been having horrid dreams which are sending me slightly loopy and I find myself touching wood several times a day - daft. My mum keeps telling me that 'in her day' they didn't worry about things because they just didn't know as much as we do now - she had no scans, there was no internet etc. So I've been trying to just think positively, visualising my baby being here and healthy, and listening to my natal hypnotherapy CD, doing yoga breathing and it does seem to help ease the anxiety and worry.

V exciting about sweeps and sections! There'll be some more birth announcements very soon!

MamaMary · 14/12/2012 17:26

Bunty well done for getting to the end of work!

Octane and tugstonia please stop worrying - you need to train yourself not to because you can always find things to worry about as a mummy :)

BuntysFestiveCollocks · 14/12/2012 17:57

Thank you!

Haha, wish I could train myself not to worry. I just replied on a thread in childbirth saying I had a sweep with DS and he was 'still born' a week later, as in, despite the sweep, he was a full week before he came out.

Then immediately realised wtf I'd written, and have now convinced myself my unconscious mind knows something I don't, and I'm irrationally panicking about this baby not coming out safely.

I need a slap.

SpringFlowers · 14/12/2012 18:17

Bunty! You do need a slap! Your baby will be fine, try not to worry about it. You are very nearly there x

BuntysFestiveCollocks · 14/12/2012 19:51

Thank you, spring!. I phoned my DM for a phone slap as well. Think the nerves are starting to kick in now!

birdiesinthesnow · 14/12/2012 21:13

bunty!! Slap slap slap.

I also need a slap though - have cried over a dead mouse today. We tried a humane trap but he still died. It's tragic. Poor little thing. I couldn't even give him a proper burial :(

And I'm worrying about size of bump again. Even though rational part can see my belly button is sticking out now whereas last week it wasn't, so it must have grown.

And I ate a bit of blue cheese this evening by mistake.

And my new pram is in the house, and someone said that's bad.

May I have a slap too?

theboutiquemummy · 14/12/2012 21:40

oh Birdies slap slap what are we supposed to do with all our equipment if we can't have it in the house ! we've only just brought a cot for this very reason and now i'm panicking I keep thinking the birth will go wrong !!

Chocolate anyone ? I wish i could have a vodka !

BuntysFestiveCollocks · 14/12/2012 22:28

Slaps all round tonight!

We're all going to be fine, and have lovely, healthy babies soon!

I'd kill for something heavily alcoholic to make my brain stfu. Someone on fb linked to a disarono cocktail which sounds lush: disarono, vodka, strawberry liqueur and prosecco. Oh, yum.

knuckingfackered · 14/12/2012 22:29

thanks for all support and back at ya for those in the same boat.
Rarely able to get on here on anywhere as its all agents and phone calls.
The jist is got keys on 28th Nov (hasn't been decorated since 80's laura ashley stylie! wallpaper everywhere including ceilings, whats wrong with people!!!)
So spent couple weeks be chinzing and neutralising key rooms, professional cleaners (very extravigent never felt more lady muck)and did a rug dr carpet clean.
Then moved in on 9th immediately switching focus to the old property to prep for tenant going in tomorrow.
Our old house is a beautifully maintained and updated cottage which let on its first viewing, however my DP has hoarding issues which I dont allow to flood further than the garage.
This has proved a major headache in the move as still no decluttering or dumping seems to have occured so its all been brought to the new garage.
But as soon as tenant in tomorrow we have no choice but to stop.
Consistently he's coming home at gone 1, 2 am and hasn't taken time off work for the move. Thank god for family.
Cold has now gone sinusitus so got presc for amoxy n cococodamol (didn't know you could have that in pregnancy...)
From top lip up is agony and I'd happily get it amputated! And now I'm in bits sobbing bout this USA school shoot up which is adding to snot fest.
Sorry long, its been good to offload.......
I may be some time...
Must use removal men if EVER do it again, we're in bits

Complicated24 · 14/12/2012 23:39

Birdies and co can I have a slap too please. Saw consultant today and she said I was measuring small so booked me in for immediate scan. Baby was fine but she got me really worried telling me to keep a really close eye on fetal movement and come in immediately if any change. She knows my history so knows I am super paranoid and they really don't need to scare me more than i am already. I am now booked in for induction on 31 Dec. she said induction alone could take 2 days before I am even in labour. Will be so bored. Like so many of us, Really want baby to be born now so I can hold little one in arms.

Developed sciatica today. Bloody painful.

On a more humorous note, DH read my draft birth plan this evening. Good job he did as had said I wanted skin to skin contact immediately to encourage "bondage" . DH thought that was hilarious and is still laughing about it now!

Try and have a good weekend everyone. Skyfall is fantastic. Would love to see Hobbit but don't think I can sit still for that long now.
