New thread! I've lost my lovely spreadsheet so if someone can add in the stats and update, that would be wonderful; I'm sure someone else had a spreadsheet that was as anally organised as me

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
BuntysFestiveCollocks · 07/12/2012 10:43

Good morning, ladies.

Am leaking! Xmas Shock Have been in touch with midwife who said to keep an eye and pop on a pad, but it's coming in little trickles - could just be extra discharge (not wanting to get my hopes up), but have also had a little bit of crampiness this morning.

Bets are it's nothing. But still, a little exciting!

Baby was going mental last night, has had me up from 4.30am, but quietened down a little now.

Really wish there was a magic wand that could tell you if things were actually happening ...

katolla · 07/12/2012 11:14

bunty do you think that's starting off? What's your EDD? The spreadsheet has disappeared and my browser won't let me go back a page.

mrsbugsywugsy are you sure that's not a show?

Had my final scan yesterday and the baby is FINALLY head down! Midwife on tues said she was breech so I'm very relieved. Now too scared to lie down in case she goes back again. And still having loads of braxton hicks, I had two just during the scan!

birdiesinthesnow · 07/12/2012 11:26

dj and mama hope you're feeling a bit better.

bugsy how are you doing? Did your midwives reassure you?

bohoec I think I had similar pains last time. It didn't interfere with labour at all.

bunty how exciting! Keep us posted!

I just had midwife and consultant apmt where I said I'd been for a private scan and didn't want any more. It was hard saying no to more scans and I've come home thinking what if something happens and I'd never forgive myself for not having had the extra scans. But they don't think I need them, were just offering them to reassure me. After last time I just couldn't face another seemingly dodgy measurement and worrying that much again. Baby is head down and moving around nicely. I measure 2 weeks behind though but they weren't fussed - it's 3 weeks difference before you get scanned, and I've already been scanned a week ago and baby was fine. Sorry, I'm rambling. I'm just hoping no more scans is the right thing. I'm sure it is, esp as it gets harder and harder to get accurate measurements now...

birdiesinthesnow · 07/12/2012 11:27

Ps salt hope dentist was ok. I've got to have a filling soon from a dentist who looks like he only left school last week. Am putting it off though.

katolla that's good re baby being head down

BuntysFestiveCollocks · 07/12/2012 11:27

katolla would be nice if it was! EDD is 28/12. Glad baby is head down!

BuntysFestiveCollocks · 07/12/2012 11:30

Shall do, birdies! I think you made the right call, and glad baby is doing well.

mrsbugsywugsy · 07/12/2012 11:40

Thanks everyone.

That?s exciting Bunty!

The midwife hasn?t called me back, I assume they would have by now if they thought it could be anything urgent. I?m not really too worried as I haven?t had any more since yesterday, and the baby is moving fine. katolla hoping it?s not a show, I am only 33 weeks.

Birdies it sounds like you have made the right decision

katolla · 07/12/2012 11:46

bunty ah of course, we're EDD twins. Definitely try to keep it in for a bit longer then.. Mine felt like it was coming out on the Hammersmith and City line last night :/

BuntysFestiveCollocks · 07/12/2012 12:06

Now I've hit 37 weeks, katolla all bets are off haha! She can come whenever. Xmas Wink

salt1 · 07/12/2012 13:20

no fillings and new dentist was sexy as .... this may go some way to helping my fear...

CreepyCrawly · 07/12/2012 13:55

salt, my dentist is really young and very nice to look at too and he's the best one I've ever had.

How exciting bunty!

I've finished work! Had an unexpected early finish too which was nice. Going to chill out today and this weekend, and then get myself sorted next week.

mrsbugsywugsy · 07/12/2012 14:06

Well i just had a missed and message from the community midwife, they suggested I call triage. Not sure if I will bother though as it was nearly 24 hours ago and nothing has happened since

BuntysFestiveCollocks · 07/12/2012 14:12

Ah boo, I think it was just increased discharge. Nothing much since my few trickles! Going to go have myself a disco nap Xmas Wink

BahSaidPaschaHumbug · 07/12/2012 14:33

Watched my little boy have his swimming lesson with my MIL instead of me today. Didn't like that one bit. I love my swimming class with him, but nanny needs to know what to do next term with him. I shall be going back as soon as its physically possible.

MrsBug and Bunty and anyone else with niggling symptoms I hope its all ok for you. It just gets so hard at this point I think, every day is a bit less easy and every small symptom a bit more alarming, each back twinge, cramp, discharge puts us on edge wondering if this is it?

I've been feeling very very uncomfortable low down for a few days now. All my clothes feel uncomfortable on me and I am so tired. Another disrupted night last night, poor DH bore the brunt of it this time though, He spent 2 hours in DS's room getting him back to sleep. I woke at 1am and went to take over but found DH in the rocking chair fast asleep with DS snuggled into him. Nearly left them to it but I knew DH would have crippling neckache in the morning so I packed him off to bed and luckily DS didn't stir when I put him in his cot.

I really want this to be over now. I'm ready.

BuntysFestiveCollocks · 07/12/2012 14:42

Ditto, on all points, pascha. I hope you have a more restful night tonight. I am ready for this baby to be safely in my arms.

BahSaidPaschaHumbug · 07/12/2012 14:50

Have you got your bag yet?

BuntysFestiveCollocks · 07/12/2012 15:04

Nothing is destined to be easy for me, pascha.

I believe it's at a neighbours - fed ex delivered it to number 1 and put it under the BBQ. We are number 1, but have no BBQ. Went nosying around the neighbours: number 1 (on the same farm but different address for example we would be 1 the gardens, they are 1 the meadows (not real addresses!)) have a BBQ, and an unopened package in their hallway.

So, I believe it is there. DH getting sent tonight as they're not in ATM if they don't come round before hand.

Babybeau (came direct from supplier) are being fab. I phoned them directly after another useless phone call with red, and the lady has been chasing to see where the bag was, especially as they are now out of stock. If it's not the bag, she's going to try and get me one from the states. Fabulous service. She's mightily annoyed with fed ex - rightly so!

SpringFlowers · 07/12/2012 15:05

Oh my life...all this talk of being term and ready is making me panic! I am not ready at all and have weeks to go. I just had my flu ad whooping cough jabs and am waiting to see if I have side effects, hopefully I won't.

Congratulations to those finishing up at work, it's nice being abe to take it easy.

birdiesinthesnow · 07/12/2012 15:11

You live on a farm bunty?! Hope you get your bag soon. I emailed reddirect but no reply yet. My necklace is coming from someone else too though so hopefully it won't be a problem.

pascha I've been up with DD too the last few nights, except last night as she's had a wee infection and I think the antibiotics are now working thankfully, bless her. A few nights ago though we were up and she was crying and I ended up crying as well! DH had to tell me to pull myself together after he took over :)

spring I had no side effects from either and my DD had flu jab as well this year and she was fine too. I'm sure you'll be fine.

By the way, at my apmt today there was no talk of where I'd like to give birth or birth plans or anything like that. Next apmt I will be 40 weeks! Anyone else got fairly rubbish care/interest from midwife?

BuntysFestiveCollocks · 07/12/2012 15:16

Sure you'll be fine, spring I just had a sore arm.

birdies I do! Proper rural like Xmas Wink it's great for DS as we have the lambs literally 30 seconds from our back door throughout the spring and summer, he really enjoyed visiting them this year. We're renting ATM until we sell in London - coming up on 3 years here which is scary when I think of all that cash down the drain

BahSaidPaschaHumbug · 07/12/2012 15:40

Spring hold on to your sanity. I am physically ready in myself. Practically, no way. Still stuff all over the house, in no order and christmas is a distant dream.

Birdies my next appt is next friday, MW said I can then stay 2 weekly or go once a week after that depending on how I feel. She's actually really laid back about the birth, I remarked that I really needed to get a box or bag together and she said 'Ah no, sure you'll be able to put your hands on it all when you need it. Don't worry about it' or words to that effect. She makes me feel incredibly relaxed about it all. No fannying about, just straight, to the point and sweeps any worries away.

Last time she was just as uninformative as yours seems to be though. I remember having to ask just who I call when I went into labour as she had never bothered to go into any detail about it.

I live 30 secs from sheep as well, though not on a farm. DS gets all excited about the amount of tractors we see and we have a free pass to see them in bed (in the barn) anytime we want Grin

Bunty reddirect have really mucked up this offer haven't they? Loads of people with cancelled orders.

BahSaidPaschaHumbug · 07/12/2012 15:45

I had a sore arm for about 3 days after my jab. Couldn't sleep on that side. I think the nurse wiggled the needle about in there though so no wonder.

Salt my dentist is about 60 and female so no such niceness for me.

Creepy Hooray for you finishing work. Just in time to relax a bit before christmas.

Katolla great news about being head down. Lets hope it stays that way.

Phew. Have I caught up yet?

AppleCrumples · 07/12/2012 15:58

Wow you can tell mat leave is kickiing in! spring I'm with you am not ready (although very ready for it to all be over) and still have ages to go. Can't believe some people are nearly full term! I've still got 6/7 weeks! :(

I still haven't packed my bag despite spending lots of time saying that I will...I really should get on with it shouldn't I? It's just when I think about it I panic a bit, can't remember what I need and then try to block out the fact I actually have to give birth...

dieciocho · 07/12/2012 16:27

Yes, Birdies, my obstetric team (complicated pregnancy) has been really uninformative about labour options etc, and that's despite my having to be induced 2 weeks early. I only found that VERY important piece of info. out by reading books and chatting on MN!!!
I don't even know where the labour ward is in the hospital.

Bunny222 · 07/12/2012 17:41

Hi girls. Wow youve all been busy. My bump has suddenly got huge in last few days, and skin on my tummy feels tight and itchy. Has anyone else had this? Am 34wks.

Have hopefully my final growth scan on monday, will be interested to see how big baby is tracking. Come down with DHs cold, so feeling rubbish and am now in bed. Bump started jumping when I had a coughing fit, poor thing.
