New thread! I've lost my lovely spreadsheet so if someone can add in the stats and update, that would be wonderful; I'm sure someone else had a spreadsheet that was as anally organised as me

Welcome Milk. I have added you to list. I have also moved Tiny and Megan to top of list. Hope I don't get lots of weird script this time. I too thought triplets was a genuine post. Who would do that. Enjoy the chocolate orange Birdies. You and baby most definitely deserve it.

Was she a troll!?what an oddball!

Ive just washed all the baby clothes, made me realise we have got loads of 0-3 baby grows, hope we get at least a month or two from them? Although I imagine bub will be poo exploding/puking down lovely said clothes so maybe having loads is a good thing!

Am also going to finish hospital bag this wk,couple of questions...what/how many clothes should I pack for baby? Heard it can be warm on postnatal ward? And any ideas on snacks that wnt melt and will keep if I buy them now?

Birdies · 28/11/2012 17:27

Sure she was a troll? She had proper names for them and everything and posted to get advice on names too. I don't get it!

Whilst we're on the subject of bags, I went and bought some extra bits for mine today. Nothing remotely exciting - just sanitary towels and breast pads. Anyone know how many if each to pack? I can't remember what I did last time but the packs are massive and I'm running out of room in my bag. I've already got one wheelie case full for me (the size if the ones that fit in hand luggage) and a smaller wheelie bag for baby's stuff.

I only ate half of the chocolate orange. And one of those cadburys button chocolate pots. Oh how restrained I am!

Complicated24 · 28/11/2012 17:27

OK, still got weird script. Sorry about that. When I have time will retype list, but will have to wait until hospital bag packed, nursery set up and Christmas cards written!

Pascha · 28/11/2012 17:46

That would be after christmas for me then Complicated Grin

PipIsOutNow · 28/11/2012 18:01

Hello girlies just popping back in to say hi! I have been hovering and trying to keep up with everyone!

I have had a nightmare week. 5 hospital visits in 6 days! Racing pulse, shortness of breath, protein and glucose in urine. I've had all sorts if tests etc done but all come back ok thankfully. Slightly concerned that baby is measuring above the 97th centile though! Arrrgghhh!

Got history of pre eclampsia from previous preg so on weekly bp checks and trying to stay calm. :)

Congrats tiny on the safe arrival of baby Megan! I love that name so much.

Can't temper who was considering going off work early but definitely do it. I've been signed off for weeks and it really was the best thing I ever did. There's no way I could handle work, feeling this shit AND a toddler.

I am definitely not going to inspect my fanjo for bulging veins. I think I would have a heart attack and die if I found those as well!

Hi to everyone else I've missed. It's so hard to keep up but I'm marking my spot now we're all reaching the final stretch. Wondering if I should start packing my bag soon? Exciting!

Berniebennett · 28/11/2012 20:18

So annoying.....
In my house all the lights upstairs and all power sockets throughout the whole house just went off, I went to check the fuse box but none of the fuses had blown but the main grey power switch was off so I tried flipping it back but it would flick back on I tried for about 15 minutes to no avail! So gave in and called hubby (he's in military and is on overnight exercise) who then called one of the other guys to pop over and have a look - he flipped the switch once and it all went magically back on!!!!

How annoying that I know look like a pathetic women, lol! Although it's nice to know if for some reason I need someone and hubby isn't here there's lots of gents to come and rescue me!!! :-)

godzookey · 28/11/2012 21:37

hi Ladies,
Congratulations Tiny - fab news! Hope you are managing to rest lots and aren't feeling too sore

I'm intrigued by the troll thing - how do you find out/did you find out that she was a troll, what a weirdo! Probably some tragic bloke who's in his 40s and still lives with his parents Smile

Screamed at DH tonight as i went to work, but really struggled with weird cramps walking back to tube, so called and demanded he came and picked me up from station at other end BUT he has been in the pub this afternoon. No longer acceptable so have had massive go at him and he is sulking upstairs!

So have finally put my foot down and said i'll come into work from now until i go on mat leave, only when absolutely necessary so will be working from home tomorrow and hopefully Monday too!

Pascha - that is hilarious, it's the kind of story that will have me sniggering randomly when i'm on the tube or something and i'll just look crazy!!

BuntyCollocks · 28/11/2012 22:30

:( my beautiful bag is not so beautiful!

Any savvy ebayers wish to offer an opinion?

Birdies · 28/11/2012 22:45

Aw bunty that's really shit. Has the seller replied to you?

bealos · 28/11/2012 23:01

bunty go straight to the ebay resolution centre, they are on your side! If you paid by paypal you have their complaints system as back up too.

BuntyCollocks · 28/11/2012 23:05

They have offered me £12 refund - I think that's a bit of a piss take to be honest. I know it's a very small rip, but still - I more than likely Woulsnt haven't bid at all, and certainly not as much, if that had been advertised.

Torn. :( (pardon the pun)

trolling a fake triplet birth!

is that even worth trolling......

the world is full of lonely freaks glued to laptops living a non life

djvesi · 29/11/2012 04:13

Oooh Bernie that sounds magic. Would love to have a bunch of big tough guys at the touch of a button....hmm, that doesn't sound as innocent it did in my head before typing Grin

dieciocho · 29/11/2012 07:43

allchik I'm packing the hospital bags this weekend. Slightly early as I know it should be done at 32-weeks and I'm only 31-weeks (tomorrow), but I'll be at a wedding next weekend, so too busy being knackered.
My mum and sister are coming to help pack, too - don't I just plan the most exciting weekends?!
Should I label the bags for both of us? I mean, do people really steal stuff from labour/post-natal wards?

newbie6 · 29/11/2012 08:49

Whoops, just reading these posts and am realising I haven't packed any bags and I'm now just over 32 weeks.....note to self, get organised and stop pretending a stork will arrive!

CreepyCrawly · 29/11/2012 09:27

Congratulations Tiny! Hope you're both doing well.

That's excellent news birdies, I'm so so pleased for you!

The lady with the triplets, I had a feeling all was not as it seemed. I thought it a bit odd that she joined the thread, and then the week after she'd had her babies. And also the fact that shed had twins, and then triplets. I'm sure it happens, but I was cynical from the beginning.

I'm in a right bad mood today. MIL decided to ring our landline continuously this morning, about 15 minutes before my alarm was due to go off. It seems those 15 minutes are vital!

Today and tomorrow in work, and next week and then I'm off!! Next week is pretty good though, I have Monday off and a morning course on Wednesday. I'm also not on the rota so don't have to be out in the community (I'm a support worker) so relived about that!

I haven't packed my bag yet either and I'm nearly 34 weeks. Bag arrived yesterday though so that's my plan for the weekend!

Hope everyone is well!

bealos · 29/11/2012 10:17

Gosh you're all making me think I need to get organised! I don't need to pack a bag as staying at home (though I guess one for 'emergencies' might be a good idea) but I really should go buy those giant pads that make you waddle, breast pads, etc. An online order I reckon!

Birdies · 29/11/2012 10:46

Thanks creepy :)

I'm mildly disturbed by the troll, so weird. bunty give us the goss, how was she found out? What if I'm a troll too and I made up all my scan worries, can you imagine?! Well I've been meaning to tell you..................that's a joke by the way, I am real honest!

Anyone about to pack a hospital bag - I think someone may have recommended this before, but definitely do two - one for labour and immediately after and one you can leave in the car with all other baby clothes, rest of the nappies, change of clothes for you etc etc and then get DH/DP to collect it and swap the bags over once baby arrives. I personally have found it impossible fitting everything into one. I tried my stuff in a bigger one and baby stuff in a smaller one and would take both in at the same time, but there's still not enough room, so I'm going to rearrange them and take two wheelie ones but leave one in the car.

Vitamin K - anyone decided whether to go for the jab or the drops? I did the drops last time but can't decide if I should just get them to do the jab so it's one less thing to remember afterwards.

Ps bunty if you're like me, I couldn't forget the rip (and the rip-off, hehe another pun), so maybe demand a refund and find something perfect?

Pps creepy that would put me in a foul mood too. Thankfully my MIL wouldn't dare do that, but I would block her number if she did lol!

BuntyCollocks · 29/11/2012 10:57

Wish I knew the goss, birdies! someone else said she was a troll ... I'm crap at spotting them, I always get taken in (generally on aibu, get on my self righteous high horse and then Blush haha!)

I have now asked for a refund - the lady emailed me this morning - she's a mn'er!!! Saying she gathered from a forum I wasn't happy and what did I suggest Shock

OP posts:
BuntyCollocks · 29/11/2012 11:02

Also, I'll echo birdies suggestion - one bag for labour to be brought straight in with you, another sitting in the car ready for your birth partner to bring in once baby is safely arrived and you're cuddled up in post natal bliss. All your minging, post birth crap can then get spirited away as well ;)

OP posts:
SquealyB · 29/11/2012 11:28

Hi all

Bunty I am so Angry for you. I would send it back. It was supposed to be a treat to replace your broken anniversary present and treats should not be tainted. Shame on the seller for not pointing that out.

djves I wish my DH (or me!) had that issue....our house would be a much cleaner place.

Godz your rage was entirely justified. I have told DH that after Christmas Day two drink limit begins.

Creepy please tell me your MIL really needed to speak to you urgently and is not just a pain the behind.

Pips glad everything is ok and they are keeping a close eye on you.

On the hospital bag front, two bags sounds like a great idea. Friend who gave birth recently advised packing shorts for DH as it can get far too warm on the ward. Must start thinking about this now......

Pascha · 29/11/2012 11:39

re the triplets woman, this thread has some answers. She rang a lot of bells with people who know about multiples pregnancies and her story was inconsistent. I remember MNHQ deleting the thread in question when they looked into her posting history and found she was a serial liar and repeat troller.

Bunty I would send the bag back and get a refund. Start again, another one will come up sooner or later.
