Ood no! I'm going to have to block out some time at work and sit and read through the proposals at some point soon.

Lexi the exhastion can be so crushing can't it, specially when it stops you doing nice things. Hope you get some good rest. Try not to feel guilty tho, he sounds lovely and sympathetic. What are your options as far as work is concerned in terms of making things manageable?

backwardpossom · 24/11/2012 21:45

I'm very very uncomfortable tonight. Ate far too much for dinner and now I can hardly move...

Oodthunkit · 24/11/2012 21:50

lexi me too , tired feel useless

backward me too. No room & heartburn.

Emsyboo · 24/11/2012 21:53

Stomry that sounds really tough my Dad works for DWP even he thinks universal credit system is misguided I think I'll have to find out more. You seem to be very practical about it all I am impressed.

I think so many people will find themselves in your situation just making it harder to get those jobs I think if I had graduated a few years later I would be in your exact shoes! Except I don't live in Hull Smile

backwardpossom · 24/11/2012 22:25

Ood yes, heartburn here, too. Rubbish! I'm getting a bit worried about Christmas dinner, actually... Wink

zoeymlucas · 24/11/2012 22:32

What a day- thank god it's bed time!!!
My pelvis was killer last night and I couldnt sleep, at 2.00am I woke DH to say I want a KFC, lol! Dozed off about 6.30ishand little monkey jumped on my bladder at 7.15 so decided to cut my losses and get up! Did our errands and got DS2 a proper duvet set instead of blankets which I was excited about and DH then went to KFC drive through which iwas father exacted about until I ae Zoe and realised my chicken was off - it was yellow and stunk!! I swallowed the first bit but spat out the rest of the mouth ful so even though was disgusted knew it wouldn't be dangerous!!! Well DH went into full panic mode phoning doctors, KFC and environmental Heath who he has arranged to collect the chicken Monday!
He totally stressed me out - I think as he as normally soooo chiled to see him wound up and panic'd threw me a little bit!!! Plus I had had a very small bleed Thursday afternoon he was already watching me like a hawk!! He demanded I went to bed and I watched shrek and wrapped Xmas presents and he bought me pizza :) however I milked it a bit and manged to get him to fit my new freezer and run the wiring through that I have been waiting 2 weeks for so I can buy all our yummy Xmas stuff , hehe!!!!

Sorry to hear people are also struggling at the mo and the evil heartburn is effecting sooo many people- is anyone else getting leg cramps???

zoeymlucas · 24/11/2012 22:34

Blinking iPad predictive text and my poor checking / spelling!

backwardpossom · 24/11/2012 23:09

zoey yes to the leg cramps. (I'm full of the joys today...) I was in so much pain down my left leg earlier that I was in tears. Sad

Em2010 · 24/11/2012 23:56

zoey ewww! to dodgy KFC! Really sorry about that and hope no ill effects although I very much doubt you'll harm your baby. I am never eating KFC again!

stormy hmm don't know what to say really. I feel very sorry for recent graduates. It's a horrible job market out there. My cousin graduated with a first from Oxford last year. He is fluent in 2 languages, very personable and presentable, yet still hasn't got a job. I'll have to just keep my fingers crossed for you that things work out for you.

flowery ah ha! A tooth! Poor little man, hope he's not suffering too much. I think your ds is about the same age as mine. He is also teething at the moment.

ood seriously? One disabled person per household??!

Sorry for all the aches and pains everyone is experiencing. Am feeling huge this evening, as if I can't expand any further and baby is squashing both ribs and bladder! Plus not kicking very much and stressing me! On the plus side had a productive afternoon after my morning from hell! I'm lying in bed listening to ds snoring and the rain coming down. After much moaning in the last week I feel I need to say for the last 2 days, ds has been an angel. Bless him.

OctoberCarrot · 25/11/2012 07:08

Stormy sounds like an incredibly difficult and stressful situation. I hope everything works out ok.

zoey. KFC sounds gross. Don't think I have ever been to. KFC.

Had a great time on Friday night though was so tired after being up at 4am that girls sent me home at 11:30. Such a lightweight these days!

Otherwise a lovely weekend - went to rugby yesterday and then out with some Argentinian friends who were over for game. had to leave them to it at 1am. Today will be quiet as am now officially shattered - mass, park and roast dinner I think. I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.

Oodthunkit · 25/11/2012 08:40

zoey Eww to the KFC. Thoughi fancy a zinger burger now Confused

Baby likes spicy food.

Em2010 · 25/11/2012 10:56

october you party animal! I am impressed!

We all slept in till 10am this morning! Can't believe it! Had squire a broken night though so unfortunately feeling like pants now! Dh and ds are downstairs making me toast and I'm wrapped up in bed. Now it's winter you can see across the fields from our bedroom which is lovely! Off for Sunday roast and Christmas crafts at my mums later so really should get a wriggle on and do my chores.

zoey hope you're ok and there's no ill effects from the KFC!

Emus · 25/11/2012 11:19

Morning everyone! Sorry not to name check, am on quickly before I crack on with the day.

Had the most horrendous heartburn yesterday, I was nearly doubled over in pain at one point. Goodness knows what other shoppers though of me as I wandered about town clutching my neck!!

My OH actually saw baby kick me today so am chuffed about that. I swear down though that as soon as we try to feel him, he stops as he knows and likes to wind us up already! ;-)

I think he likes Sundays as he's been quite active today but extremely quiet for most of the week which has been causing me loads of worry. Sundays seem to be his most active day of the week!! I wonder if he's had another growth spirt hence being quiet.

Emus · 25/11/2012 11:19

Bought some new wool yesterday so have started a new blanket (that's about all I can make!) and organised all my wool. Also found an unfinished project that I really like so when I'm finished this one I will complete that one then baby will have three blankets made by mummy!

Facebook is easier to catch up on and I'm pleased I've finally joined. Got my Xmas pud to do today, didn't manage it yesterday as started other chores which took longer.

Right, have a nice Sunday everyone. Hope you are all well.

Emus · 25/11/2012 11:20

(Had to post in two parts again. Grrrr)

StormyBrid · 25/11/2012 13:24

Thanks all for the good wishes for a destitution-free future. Feeling a bit less panicked now it's all had a bit of time to sink in, although would be easier to feel confident if we actually knew how much UC would be. Government are still keeping tight-lipped on that one. And at least all of you who claim tax credits are aware that it could get a bit difficult now.

Emus - ours does the same. Wriggling and kicking and throwing a rave in there, and as soon as anyone puts a hand on my stomach to feel, she freezes. It's as though she's thinking "Who are you? Get that hand off me! I'm not a performing seal!" The only person she'll reliably kick is her dad (so far, only once in the face).

At the risk of giving too much information, I had to read the section of the pregnancy book about haemorrhoids last night. Why must pregnancy make one's bum go weird?! It's not like the baby's even coming out of there!

LexiandBeanette · 25/11/2012 15:03

Emus and Stormy my little bean is the same, as soon as DH puts his hand on my belly she stops moving! It's like she is already a contrary little madam!

Much sympathy to Oood and Three and anyone else also very tired. Three you are right that DH is very sympathetic; he's currently stripping and painting the kitchen whilst I am on the sofa, I did however rake the leaves up today in front and back gardens so feel marginally less bad! I wonder if the little one is having a growth spurt as I feel so drained.
Zoey ewwwww to KFC. I hope you are OK and DH has calmed down.

Going to spend the rest of the afternoon looking at budgets (eek!) and watching the Grand Prix with my crochet. Also promised DH apple crumble but depends on the state of the kitchen!! Wink Hope everyone has a good Sunday and no-one is flooded out!

JoJoBella84 · 25/11/2012 15:25

28 weeks today makes me officially in the 3rd trimester. Whoop!
Slept for 10 hours last night... Spoke to OH this morning who said it sounded like it had done me some good as I was much perkier!
It seems that my little flumper has also shifted away from my sciatic nerve too which is very thoughtful of him.
Hard at the academic work today as OH is over again at the weekend so I won't have as much study time next week.

Hope everyone is having fun weekends xxx

HermioneBoo · 25/11/2012 16:02

Congrats JoJo ! Ill be 24 weeks on Tuesday and looking forward to that milestone, been having dreams about something weird being wrong with BabyBoo. Anxiety dreams, who'd have 'em?!

DH is upstairs building babyboo's chest of drawers as I type, we have so many clothes for her now we were running out of space! When I added the NCT bargains I got yesterday to the pile it ended up in a baby things landslide so DH made me go to Ikea with him on a Sunday - horrible, but staff were saying this is quiet before Christmas, it was so busy in there you couldn't properly see what they had!

Back to work for me tomorrow after my lovely birthday week off, ah well not long til Christmas break and then it'll be counting down to meeting our babies!

Oodthunkit · 25/11/2012 16:55

Im 24 weeks tomorrow. Feeling such a long pregnancy. Possibly my last week in work this week, feels very odd as I don't know for sure until the week after & can't even say its possibly my last week in case it isn't

Hamnvik · 25/11/2012 17:14

Another one who is 24 weeks! Feels like this bit is going so slowly!

I'm going to start my Christmas shopping tomorrow and treat myself to a kfc mmm can't wait ( will be checking my chicken before eating it though after your experience Zoey !)

Just resting my glass on my stomach and baby kicked and made the glass move! Little monkey!

FloweryBoots · 25/11/2012 20:23

Urgh, have finaly secumbed to a cold. Have missed a few that have been round so can't complain but have that horrid itch soreness in the back of my throat and horribly itchy nose. Lovely DH has just ventured out in the cold, dark and rain to get me soothers, a lemon and some honey. Plus cranberry juice as he appears to have cystitis. I've never had it or any UTI so could only think I'm sure girls talk about drinking lots, and drinking cranberry juice so told him to do that!

Done some packing today, not loads, but it's a start, adn DH actually did some too. Not sure if DS gets it yet but I think it's sinking in now he can see us putting things into boxes and keeps saying 'boxes to new house'.

Unearthed a blanket I started knitting for DS that is only about 15cm long so far, and a load of wool! Think I go dishartened as it turned out a bit girly looking and we didn't know with DS what we were having but both thought boy. Have left it out to have another go at.

Just debating now whether to make the effort to go and pack our 'posh' crockery up, or to claim cold requires rest and read a book with my feet up until bed.

Ood must be hard the not knowing. I've found it tricky enough knowing I'm starting mat leave pretty early at Christmas, which colleagues won't expect, and not feeling i can 'announce' since stupid boss hasn't decide how to cover my role, other than it won't be by getting someone in, it will just get shared around.

Oodthunkit · 25/11/2012 20:25

MIne is unlikely to be covered and if it is they won't recruit until Feb when I officially start mat leave & take a while to gt cover.

lannyshrops · 25/11/2012 20:30

Evening all!
I've not been on for a while, so tired and busy. DH is doing all the decorating which I just can't help with as finding it difficult to bend! I can roller but the glossing etc is just too difficult, and cold as we have to keep all the windows open because of the fumes! I feel so guilty as we would normally do DIY things together, in order to make me feel less so I have decreed that I am doing all the household chores, all very well and good, but I'm pooped!!! I've spent most of this weekend on the couch sleeping, apart from going to get my hit done yesterday morning. Should of been lovely and relaxing, which it was right up until, the moment I threw up...oh dear! I've managed to do some cleaning but the bathroom is yet to be tackled! Doh! I suspect third trimester tiredness may have arrived two weeks early! We are off on holiday next Friday, I am hoping that once we have done the flight thing I will have chance to relax and sleep!!!

Sorry to hear of those not well and those feeling a bit run down too, this pregnancy malarkey is quite hard isn't it?? manda how is the foot and mouth doing? Is the bump pain any better? Lots of hugs.

I have no experience of the benefit system fortunately, so no thoughts there really, sorry.

We have a place in our local nursery booked, just need to visit and confirm. As long as it suits us, which I think it will based on the reports, we will probably go for it. It is attached to the primary school that LO will go to and they start to integrate them the year before they go which is lovely. They also do the before and after school club. I like the fact that the friends she will undoubtedly make at nursery will follow with her to school!

Love to all xxx
