Hi ladies have been keeping up and meaning to update for ages, but can't seem to get 5mins peace.
Finally had my scan last week. It's a boy! Obviously so long as it's healthy and happy I don't care but it will be nice to have one of each. Have a friend coming round later who has just had a girl so we can do a big clothes swap. Her DS is 2 like my DD.
Sorry to hear about those with health woes. I have got rhinitis and asthma at the moment, just means am coughing and sneezing a lot, but won't really go until I have had baby and can have proper decongestants.
Lexi we have been on a fairly tight budget for various parts of parenthood so far and it's really not too bad. There's a lot of free or very cheap stuff to do with babies. Bounce and Rhyme at the library is free, most church toddler groups are around the £1/£1.50 mark including tea, biscuits and snacks for the little ones. You also get into a routine of being home for meal times etc, so it's much easier not to spend too much.
I had a Cath Kidston nappy bag which I used for the first 6 months. It is good, but quite bulky and if i hung it on the buggy the velcro would snag my tights. Now I just use an enormous leather handbag from TKMaxx and the changing mat that came with the free Boots bag. I like the look of Tramp's one and also the pacapods. Have been eyeing this up because I like the hands free option and side pockets for juice cups, bottles etc.
If anyone is after a basic/budget cot. this one has served us really well. Had it with the side off at bed height for a while when she was small and DD at 2.5 still loves it now. Tbh I don't think you need more than two levels once they can stand you just drop it, and they will get up every time they want to get out so not too much bending if you see what I mean.
Nails sound good Emus. Dd comes whilst I have my eyebrows done
.
Happy weekends everyone.
