Sorry for not replying to posts yesterday!
Tits Any position which aids gravity is good. Whatever you can manage. Perhaps try sitting on the ball with legs together, leaning on edge of bed with some cushions under arms/head? All fours - defo. Those would be my first choice!
It is strange though, as I feel the BH's far more strongly when lay down, when I get up they aren't as noticeable. But it is the 'pain' you feel more when lay down, not how effective they are on opening your cervix - at least that is my rationale! Good luck today, I was hoping you may be holding a baby by now...?!
MrsWee I wouldn't give it too much thought to be honest, first babies in OP position are difficult to move because of the tight uterine muscle. Subsequent babies are easier to shift, and are probably still shifting about quite easily. To reassure you - I was in hospital for 24 hours and palpated 3 times, once baby was LOA, once ROA, and the other complete OP - that was on waking in the morning. Which I think is its default position in the night! Try working out the position yourself? Does your bump change from soft to hard down one side? That is how I know (as well as feeling) which position he is in. When OP my bump is softer, and not as prominent. When OA, it is hard down whichever side the back is on, rounder and fuller! Oh, and I have an anterior placenta too. My suggestions would be to keep upright and focus on optimum positioning as soon as early labour starts. This is my plan - considering this baby seems on a pivot!
Also, yes, the chances are strongly in your favour for a better labour this time - even with an OP baby! It will be quicker, it is highly unusual for it not to be!
Have I missed anyone?!
Just got a facebook picture from MIL posted to my profile - and OMG!!!!!
