TheDetective · 30/10/2012 22:15

CharleeWarlee · 30/10/2012 22:16

I feel for you Detective I wasnt due on my monthly cycle for another week but had a niggling doubt in my mind...My first pregnancy went really quick (I found out at 11 weeks) and comparing this one to my first and previous (had a stillborn at 34 weeks and found out at 7 weeks so didnt feel very long) it has been the longest ever. Everyone keeps asking me 'How are you doing?' all I can reply is 'Im sooo over this pregnancy' with a very kind of pissed off looking face.

Not to mention, every one who asks must think im some sort of comedian and hilarious because their responses are always laughs...charming!

CharleeWarlee · 30/10/2012 22:17

ahh no thats not the right one, although that is funny. I did see a c-section one too which made me giggle a bit! goes to trawl to find the original picture

Passmethecrisps · 30/10/2012 22:17

No luck Charlee. You could repost it on our Facebook group.

TheDetective · 30/10/2012 22:20

Oooh, now I am intrigued to see which one it is!!

There is something to be said for not finding out til late on! I wish I was Itala who found out at 27 weeks!!! Grin

ComradeJing · 30/10/2012 22:38

Just waving hello to everyone. Not a tick to check the thread but congratulations to any new babies and commiserations to anyone desperately waiting.

3 weeks to go for me and not rushing it.

Going out with dd today she's spent too much time in front of the tv recently and looking forward to it. Just going to walk through the rocks and find a small park we visited over the weekend.

Arghh bloody insomnia! I was tired so went to bed at 10. Since then all I've done is toss and turn.
I've ended up lying in bed getting myself wound up about MIL buying the bloody Moses basket, about DHs breathing, about being fat and uncomfortable and about not being able to fall asleep like a normal person.

Taken myself off to the sofa where I'll watch tv and calm down and hopefully sleep Smile

TheDetective · 30/10/2012 23:46

Fatima Try a bath? And don't get wound up about the basket take it back to the shop and swap it for something you want

TheDetective · 30/10/2012 23:48

Can DH not sleep elsewhere?!

DP has been banned from the bed again after last nights disastrous attempt! He is too annoying at night. Desperate times call for desperate measures!

FatimaLovesBread · 30/10/2012 23:52

I would have a bath normally but I've had two already today [hblush]

I'm going to have a word with DH tomorrow morning about telling his mum to send the basket back, especially if she's paid the price she's shown us.

Currently enjoying QI on our comfy sofa and feeling a bit chirpier [hsmile]

TheDetective · 30/10/2012 23:53

Hot chocolate?!

Speaking of which... DP he is sat next to me can I have a hot chocolate please Grin

TheDetective · 30/10/2012 23:54

He hasn't taken the hint.... WILL TYPE A LITTLE LOUDER.

CAN I HAVE A HOT CHOCOLATE PLEASE DEAR.............

TheDetective · 30/10/2012 23:54

He got the message Grin

FatimaLovesBread · 30/10/2012 23:54

Mmm hot chocolate sounds good!

TheDetective · 30/10/2012 23:56

I don't need to waddle anywhere Grin

DP does think I'm a bit nuts now though!

Iheartpasties · 31/10/2012 00:12

stunt when I was mega stressed out last week I was so wound up thinking I won?t have enough energy to get this baby out, I felt hysterical on the inside. I just could not communicate it to anyone, until the ?mood? had passed a bit! Dh was keeping we awake most night with snoring (due to a cold) and he just did not understand at all. But I am feeling mostly more calm on that front now. I sort of feel a bit resigned to the fact that this baby aint coming! A dash of denial is great :)

DH is talking about finding a costume for dd to wear this evening ? for Halloween. I wonder what he will find, I bet a pumpkin outfit.

Iheartpasties · 31/10/2012 00:15

Sorry to hear you feel down shannelle, it must be pretty tough.

fatima I would be annoyed with mil, why does she want to buy a major bit of kit for you without double checking its what you want! i get annoyed in those situations, because you sort of view the value and think what you would have had instead! My mil is on the other side of the world (lush) and she send utter crap through the post for dd. I wish sometimes she would ask what we think dd would like - that is very grinch-y and bah humbug of me though!!

I havent had a shower yet. but i have done two loads of laundry.

Iheartpasties · 31/10/2012 00:21

I did not have any signs or twinges before dd's arrival. I do not know what to expect this time around, I wish I could be ignorant and chilled like I was before dd came!! I sort of wondered if something was happening a moment ago - but it was just a pee. But my mind started racing - so bloody stupid.

FatimaLovesBread · 31/10/2012 00:31

Pasties - That's what's annoying me. From the website shes ordered from its £100. M&P have it reduced on their site for £50. We live 20 mins away from a M&P outlet shop where she could have probably got it cheaper again. It's just a waste of money. Especially when we were happy borrowing one. If she'd been really insistent on wanting to buy us one then why didn't she ask us to go shopping with her and pick one at a reasonable price? [hangry]

Got a few period cramps tonight, hope it's not a sign of anything happening yet

Iheartpasties · 31/10/2012 00:52

fatima I know how you feel, you start thinking that they think they know best or something. very annoying. When we were expecting dd mil wanted to buy us a cot, she offered, and we were very grateful. Because she said she'd pay for a cot - we just looked around and chose one, we went for one we wer happy with, and was in the price range we'd be happy to pay, and ordered it (well we won it on ebay actually!) and then mil dragged her feet over it, not wanting to pay what we had won it for. I didnt care as we were happy with it, and it was a totaly bargain to be honest. I wish she had just said here is one hundred quid to put towards nursery gear - then there would have been less stress. It all sounds very petty - but at the time you get wound up because instead of it being a lovely gesture it becomes a sort of wierd power struggle and pain in the arse.

Passmethecrisps · 31/10/2012 01:01

Just spent 10 minutes in the loo trying to empty my friggin bladder. I am so sick of wee, stand up, need a wee, sit down, dribble, stand up, need a wee and so on. Ended up standing up straddling the loo. Light was off so goodness knows where it all ended up. It sounded promising.

Dreading tomorrow night at in laws - toilet is down stairs
