I hate to say it but I had cramping yesterday and I'm 12+3! I guess when its the 1st baby your stretching continues for a longer period. I also still worry like a mad women that the baby is OK even though I've seen baby at the scan this week. I was told you always worry, now I understand!

Thundernonk · 09/11/2012 09:49

Don't tell us that, pear, we're all working towards the scan as a great milestone where the worry subsides! who am I kidding?

Sorry Thun I'm sure I'm just extra nutty being a first time mummy and natural worrier anyway! It's the responsibility that's getting to me! Yesterday I had to brake hard because of the plonker driver suddenly stopping in front of me. My seatbelt really hurt my boobs and probably made baby jump :-( I worried all morning after that!

Lorelei353 · 09/11/2012 11:03

I've had cramping on and off too. Mostly in the evenings if I lean on the couch on my right side. Always right in the same spot.

Also, I'm beginning to have pain in my bum Sad. It's quite sharp and quite painful. I initially thought I'd strained a muscle in my bum (you lot at the back of the bus, stop sniggering) from a lot of walking I did last Sat. but I actually think it's coming from my very lower back and going down into my bum. Is it early to have sciatica? Could it be something else? Confused

peardrop2 · 09/11/2012 11:18

Lor is it uncomfortable to sit down?

Lorelei353 · 09/11/2012 11:22

Not actually sitting pear no. I'm fine most of the day in work actually (my desk chair's quite good). When I get up of my couch at home it hurts and getting out of bed sends pains down into my bum

Thundernonk · 09/11/2012 11:44

Ouch lor that sounds really uncomfortable.

pear I think the stretching continues for about 9 months! Wink It's true that you always worry... Even now that DS is one I still have moments where I wonder if I should go check on him if he sleeps a bit longer than normal!

I've not had a nap & DS will be waking up for his lunch soon. I just can't get to sleep! Hmph! Is it too ridiculously early to be feeling movement? I'm feeling imagining a funny gentle fluttering! Smile

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 09/11/2012 12:14

You couldn't have bruised your tail bone could you lor? It would be odd for sciatica to start so early unless you've been doing heavy lifting or moving stuff with your feet?

Lorelei353 · 09/11/2012 12:33

It's not my tail bone area really frus. It's right in the middle of my right cheek Grin so much further over. Don't know what I've done to it. I have a policy of never engaging in heavy lifting (and my DH certainly wouldn't allow it right now).

Hopefully it's just a bit of a strain from something and will disappear soon.

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 09/11/2012 12:38

Sounds like it could be the sciatic nerve, could you have manage to trap it? Twisted funny or fallen over? Are you having any other pains/twinges anywhere in you right leg?

Lorelei353 · 09/11/2012 12:44

Not that I can think of. Hmm

I suppose I could've done it on that walk last Saturday (long walk home from bonfire/fireworks). My left knee totally seized up (I have rubbish knees) so I would've been leaning over to my right. Maybe I just strained it then?

There's a prenatal, 'alleviate sciatic nerve pain' yoga class on yogaglo.com. Maybe I'll try that.

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 09/11/2012 12:49

Just be careful you get the exercises for the correct part of your sciatic nerve, you don't want to trigger something further down.

Jojoba1986 · 09/11/2012 17:13

It's twins, I just know it! Funny bubbly/tapping feeling started today! I poked the spot where I felt the bubbles & definitely felt something moving! I felt DS at 17 weeks which is early-ish for a first timer so maybe I'm just ridiculously sensitive to the movement but... They do say you feel it earlier with twins! I can't stop thinking about it. Desperately trying to stop myself getting too excited in case it's all in my head but I just can't shake this funny feeling I have! Hmm

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 09/11/2012 17:30

Are you sure it wasn't trapped wind that moved?

17weeks is about when I felt dd1 move, but she was a big mover (think alien) and my belly was all over the place.
Dd2 however I didn't feel at all. (She didnt respond to load music either, which is typical of a deaf baby, wish I'd know that at the time) so I'm on high alert time round. But not felt anything yet.

Thundernonk · 09/11/2012 18:10

I reckon jojo sounds like a good candidate for twins

OP posts:
peardrop2 · 09/11/2012 18:10

17 weeks!! That's ages away Shock So much waiting for inpatient people Grin

I tried to get DH to make me hot chocolate at 3am...told him the baby was awake and needed soothing hah hah Didn't work though but he did ask me how I knew the baby was awake. I said I just knew Wink

peardrop2 · 09/11/2012 18:11

JoJo would be our second set of twins on here Grin

MrsBri · 09/11/2012 18:26

All very exciting re twins!! :-) Not so good re sciatica though. Look after yourself.

My lower back ache keeps coming and going...bearing in my I shagged through it to get my BFP, I may well be lumbered now! :-/

Private scan tomorrow. Scared shitless, but know if it is OK I'll feel better. And if it isn't, at least I'll know now, and not 5 weeks' time.

Felt very sick earlier after it vanishing. Just avoided puking in the street after a particularly vicious wave of nausea got me! I foresee another night of being asleep on the sofa before 9. If I didn't make myself stay awake, I reckon it'd be a good hour before that!

Hope everyone is good...sorry I've not replied to people; too much to catch up on after a day at work. :-(

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 09/11/2012 19:31

Ooh more twinniewinnies. Grin is it mrsbri's turn for twins tomorrow?
