Managed to change my scan for the week before so 12+5, much better nov 21st

Good stuff kitty, did they acknowledge it was late for ds testing then?

No I just phoned up and said we couldn't do that date ( we actually couldn't, it's the only date dh has a work meeting) and she said will you be 12wks and I said no neerer 14 so she said oh I'll look the week before then, I'm not sure why it was booked then if it is booked on dates and they had some free unless it's just done as they receive the request and I had my booking in late?
Anyway relieved and excited now x

Great random facts! I like useless information! Thund if I ever get cornered by a shark again I'll know what to do! (yes I did say again! - seven baby sharks in the Galapogus to be precis when diving- It was amazing and not dangerous!)

Mrs Bri, is there anyway you can turn it on its head? If you think she knows anyway, make a big song and dance about taking her to one side, tell her that you need to deflect the office gossips as all the speculation is upsetting you (which is true), and could she help you keep this HUGE secret until you are ready to go public?

Sort of poacher turned gamekeeper? I find in work if I can get the biggest PITA onside by making them feel important, and asking them to "help" me I get the best results.

I'm having my scan early, next week at 9 weeks. I went to see my lovely MW who I don't actually have to go to as I'm under consultant led care, but shes like a mother hen, and a fabulous old school MW. I told her I was getting a reasurance scan privately (I had a missed MC at the start of the year) and an hour after I got home I got a call from the hospital asking if I would like to come in next week!

I only popped on to say hello!

jojo so sorry you're feeling so bad. It puts into perspective my silly moaning about tiredness/bloating/bit of nausea. Hope it passes soon.

I'm super excited because I got my dates yesterday! My midwife appt is the 19th Nov (so far I've just seen the maternity/childcare services doctor in my gp surgery) and my scan is 28th Nov, when I'll be 12+3. Still seems like so far away but it's not really.

Now how to tell my boss that I'll be having all these hospital appts that I need time off for without giving away that I'm pregnant! He's going to guess I'm sure (although I'm confident he won't say anything - he'll just start planning).

Great news lor on dates, I think I'm just going to tell my boss what the 12wk scan is, if it's good news I'd be telling him the next day and if it's bad I guess I'd need time off so either way itl come out!
Blending- your mw sounds amazing, how great to get you an app for free, I had a private scan at 9wks and it was like that pic posted, you could just make out little arms and legs and it did a little shuffle

Thun I've told me sisters and brother. I'll start to tell friends next week when I'm safely in the second tri and I'll be telling work around pay day at the end of Nov.
