There's always someone who want to stick their oar in.

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 07/11/2012 08:28

Thundernonk · 07/11/2012 08:34

I hope you get it sorted, Frustrated.

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 07/11/2012 09:43

Thanks mrs and thund

On a different note, I'm not sure how long I can last with the belt.

MrsBri · 07/11/2012 13:40

Where is Pear? Not lost in the hospital still, I hope!

peardrop2 · 07/11/2012 14:01

Hi ladies! Just got back from hospital!! Took absolutely ages and will explain later but need to have some lunch now. I'll be back with full report but for now everything went OK...phewee!

bringonthetrumpets · 07/11/2012 14:55

Sorry, it's only 9 here so I feel so behind the times by the time I get online! YAYAYAYAYAY! So, Obama won-thank god! As soon as he won Ohio and Iowa I didn't have a doubt in my mind! And the amendment was voted down so they can't ban same-sex marriage in Minnesota! I actually started crying this morning when I read the results(couldn't keep my eyes open a minute past 10 pm!) because it's such a relief. I actually have midwifery friends who are such wonderful people who have partners and they've had to go out of the country to get married so it's not recognized here, they have children or are pregnant and I couldn't imagine having to face all of the hatred that religious groups or people who are trying to ban a happy life for them. It's a new era!

So excited to hear your report, Pear!!

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 07/11/2012 15:15

Morning trumpets
Afternoon everyone else

I have a killer headache. And my podge is all hanging out. classy me

Am eagerly awaiting your update pear

peardrop2 · 07/11/2012 15:27

OK, so had to wait 1.5 hrs to be seen because sonographer was stuck in an accident. By that time my bladder was way too full so was told to empty it immediately. The lady was lovely and checked everything was OK. We were also told that we're low risk for DS. I had to get up and walk around some more and drink and wait more to get baby to turn around so that she could get a good measurement. She prodded it a lot to make it jump. The whole experience was a blur really but it's lovely to sit down now and look at photos!

peardrop2 · 07/11/2012 15:30

Forgot to say that I'm booked in for another scan at 16 weeks. DH was born with a heart problem so it is just a reassurance scan to check everything is developing as it should. I do hope that they can tell the sex at 16 weeks as it would be super cool to find out before Christmas!

peardrop2 · 07/11/2012 15:33

Now I know that 250ml of Sprite is all I need to half fill my bladder which is apparently what they need for scan. Why're people told to have a full bladder and drink 1 litre then?!?

MrsBri · 07/11/2012 15:40

Did you get a due date from them?

All SO exciting :-) Bet you're chuffed.

peardrop2 · 07/11/2012 15:42

I forgot to ask because I was all wrapped up in looking at the organs but my paperwork says the same date so I assume that means that nothing has changed! The due date I have now matches up with my smiley face date so I'm pretty sure it's right anyway :-)

bringonthetrumpets · 07/11/2012 15:47

Haha I know, right!? A full bladder is just torture, especially when they really start pressing hard and say: "My, your bladder sure is full!" Hmm

kittykatskumkwat · 07/11/2012 15:51

Yeay pear, that's fab news not the waiting with full bladder part though ekk
Now will you finally believe there are people out there who just don't get ms Wink

peardrop2 · 07/11/2012 15:58

I was lucky the sonographer was really nice. She said 'oh no poor you, go and empty your bladder you poor thing' Then she said oh quickly let me show you thr baby before you go'. I nearly hugged her!!

peardrop2 · 07/11/2012 15:59

Thanks kitty I will finally believe still find it madness

Lorelei353 · 07/11/2012 16:32

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 07/11/2012 16:41

Grin for pear

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 07/11/2012 17:01

Woo, I've got my scan date through. It's in 2 weeks when I'll be 12+3. Grin

peardrop2 · 07/11/2012 17:10

Thanks Lor it's a relief for sure :-)

Yay Frus not long to go then!!

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 07/11/2012 17:36

Yeah I've got 14.5 days of fantasy before they tell me I'm faking it. Grin I'm so jealous of your scan pics. pear

kittykatskumkwat · 07/11/2012 17:48

Grrr I'm so anoyed, just had my scan date through and it the 28th nov by which point I'll be 13+5, I thought that was the total cut off for downs testing and that doesn't take into account dates changing at all!! Why do they call it 12wks if it's closer to 14? Am I right about the testing dates, do you think they will bring it forward if I phone?
