Awww, kitty, I'm glad you understand me and I'm not a total nut job! :-) Well, probably not!!

Hope your appointment goes well tomorrow. How exciting. Not heard about mine yet. Would hope to hear soon as I was referred a week ago tomorrow.

I need to change my name at the GP's this week, so may chase it up if I don't hear come Friday.

The sole reason I'll probably do an announcement is because of how widely spread our friends are. Just convenient!

I'll add you as soon as you PM me :-)

MrsBri · 30/10/2012 07:04

Morning all! Hope everyone slept better than I did :-/

But so far the queasiness hasn't struck. Yet! See what happens now I'm on the train!

Anyone up to anything exciting today? Just dull old work for me.

Though the irritating gossiping bitch announced to my manager yesterday that she thinks I'm pregnant. Apparently I looked like I was heading to the loo to be sick...I only wanted a wee!

Really annoyed as she tore strips off someone for speculating about her friend, now she's doing the same to me. Hypocrite central. She's so thick she won't even link the two things though.

I don't want work to know until I've signed my training contract, so I really do not need gossip flying about. :-/

Rant over, sorry.

Thundernonk · 30/10/2012 07:39

Hey nic. WTF about this gossip?! Who does that? Sounds like a spoilt child rather than an adult! I'm really shocked that soneone would do something like that. I hope your manager hit her in the face with a stapler

Jojoba1986 · 30/10/2012 08:01

Morning everyone! I'm actually awake & feeling good! First time in at least 3 weeks! Grin I haven't stood up yet so things could still go pear shaped!

Nic I also have people gossiping about me. At least 2 people came up to me within 24 hours to comment on the fact that I've been MIA due to illness & 'we were beginning to think you were pregnant'! I felt like telling them that if I was & wanted them to know then I would have told them & until the point that I decided to tell them it was none of their business! Angry I settled for 'Oh, did you?' accompanied by a little laugh!

I saw both my GP & midwife yesterday! GP gave me some different tablets that should help with the dizziness, not that I've taken any yet! Midwife was covering sickness & couldn't do my BP due to a missing stethoscope & couldn't get any blood out of me because I was too dehydrated! I now have a nice hole in each arm & orders to get the nurse at the GP to poke more holes in me! Sad

First day home alone with DS since Thursday & he's decided he only wants 1 sleep a day since then! Not sure how well I'm going to cope. We're discussing the idea of me & DS going to stay with my parents for a little while. Hopefully it won't come to that! Smile

MrsBri · 30/10/2012 08:25

Honestly, Thunder, she's the biggest, nastiest bitch / gossip going. I can't stand her.

My manager told her I was just coming down with a bug.

I'm quite pissed off though. Must keep calm thoughts!

Thundernonk · 30/10/2012 09:19

Why is she doing it, just to stir up trouble? It must be obvious to everyone else that she acts like a child and they should never believe her?

OP posts:
MrsBri · 30/10/2012 10:06

Because she has to be involved in and know everything.

She has some weird obsession about pregnancy and bangs on about it like she's an expert. She's never been pregnant.

And she's a bully as well as a bitch.

But lovely to those who matter who appear blind to her actual hideousness! :-/

Thundernonk · 30/10/2012 10:17

It's very strange. She must be very insecure. Want me to have a word? I'd be intrigued to hear what she has to say for herself!

OP posts:
MrsBri · 30/10/2012 11:20

Ooh...that would be ace! I have to bite my tongue as I have to work with her!

Thundernonk · 30/10/2012 11:36

How do you think she'd react if someone at work took her to one side and kindly asked why she said things like that? Comments like hers fill me with horror- she has no idea what's going on in your life, you may have just found out you have fertility problems, you may have had a mc, you may have all sorts going on, and comments like that, borne out of her own problems, could cause so much upset and hurt. do you think she has any idea?

OP posts:
MrsBri · 30/10/2012 11:52

She is thick, a gossip, a bitch and a bully. She hasn't got a clue.

Honestly, she is awful.

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 30/10/2012 14:32

Do you have an iPhone? Perhaps you could ask Siri where to bury her body?
Seriously, I think she is being a bitch, is it a case of your job or hers? I don't get why she'd run straight to your boss, rather than just blab to other people in the office.
Why do there have to be such awful people in the world?

bringonthetrumpets · 30/10/2012 15:29

Haha Frus! where to bury her body seriously had me cracking up.

Bri I'm sorry you're having to deal with idiots like that on a daily basis. I guess I don't know the details of your job but I can't imagine pregnancy making a huge dent on your position there. Plus you haven't confirmed it with your manager so she really does not have a case against you at all. Kill her with kindness and just act like she has nothing on you (because she doesn't). Maybe she's jealous that you're getting to experience a pregnancy? If she's talking about it all the time, she's probably pining after the experience and wanting to have a baby herself!

bringonthetrumpets · 30/10/2012 15:33

On another note: I feel like such a witch today. So moody and everything is getting to me. Just the fact that my DH jumped in the shower before I got a chance to and then used the clean towel that I had grabbed for myself made my blood boil. [hangry] Oiy, I just feel like a monster right now!

MrsBri · 30/10/2012 15:53

She feels threatened by anyone who is good at their job. I am not a threat as I'm going to be a trainee solicitor in January, and she's a Legal Assistant.

She always tries to make others look bad and her look good. No such thing as team work here.

Ah well, just have to plod on!

And that's pregnancy for you, trumpets. I'm known as crampy and grumpy in our house.

And please somebody give me a constipation cure. Feel so backed up (TMI!).

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 30/10/2012 16:08

Orange juice, and lots of it.

Failing that, prunes, dried apricots, baked beans, corn, any thing that is high in fibre.

Thundernonk · 30/10/2012 16:11

Liquorice?

OP posts:
MrsBri · 30/10/2012 16:31

I may eat / drink them all. It hurts...I'm sure it's that as it is too high up to be baby pain!

Thundernonk · 30/10/2012 16:35

I've had digestive problems on and off- stomach pain etc etc.

OP posts:
MrsBri · 30/10/2012 17:03

Unpleasant, eh? :-(

Thundernonk · 30/10/2012 17:09

Yeah most things thus far have been unpleasant! Just trying to think of bigger picture and not dwell on that side of things!

OP posts:
FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 30/10/2012 17:40

mrs you could casually say "you must work really hard because that can't come naturally" and when she asks what just add "your talent for bitching" smile sweetly and walk away. [hgrin]

thund how many liquorice dib dabs should I eat?

Thundernonk · 30/10/2012 17:42

Ha! Love it, frus!

Can't stand liquorice myself, but I reckon you might want to go for some of the real stuff rather than the dip daps. If you do go for the latter however, I'll have some of the sherbet for you.

OP posts:
FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 30/10/2012 17:44

Can't have the sherbet thund DH is putting that in his cheesecake.

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 30/10/2012 17:48

Eugh, Sad sodding contact dermatitis has flared up on my hand again. Must remember not to clean anything Came up last time I was pregnant too. Best warn the midwife when I see her, they got all fussy last time when I was scratching my hands raw.
