Lor poor you :-( Give yourself a pat on the back for getting through a low day...I have them too so I think it's normal. I've not been I'll yet but it must be horrible with pregnancy so lots of sympathy going your way!

kitty yay for your scan news! Sorry you had to go solo but lovely that you have a DVD to show for it and I'm sure you've been smiling lots today to get you through looking after DD etc. hope she's feeling better!

Thunder glad to hear from you. Sometimes it is healthy to take a break from MN and it does get a bit much but hopefully we can still support you when you need it again!

Nicola has the cramping lessened? Exciting that you're browsing a possible move! Will you stick to the same area?

Hope everyone else is ok an wrapped up warm?

I'm really struggling with constipation this weekend so I've stocked up on raisins, dried apricots, grapes, figs and sunflower seeds...I'm ready to fight back this week :-) Although I have just demolished a cadburys nut bar to prepare for the inlaws arrival Blush

peardrop2 · 28/10/2012 16:30

Thanks Thunder I'll be sure to report back ;-) I told one of my sisters yesterday and she was really shocked. I was quite worried at first from her reaction but hopefully she will be ok. She said congrats but didn't ask me anything about my pregnancy and I didn't push it. She doesn't have a boyfriend yet but is 34 so I think it's hard to see her little sister move on.

MrsBri · 28/10/2012 16:42

Hi Peardrop. Good luck with the in laws :-) And the constipation! Report back when the deed is done and tell us about the reaction.

Shame your sister seemed a bit luke warm about your news, but you could be right about the age thing hitting home a touch.

I am still cramping on and off, but not as much as before, thankfully. My back ache is taking precedence today! Bit queasy too, but that's reduced a bit in the last hour or so.

Yeah, we will stay around Southport. See what's around for the next few months. No immediate hurry as such. Get 12 weeks out of the way first, maybe.

Sorry some people are ill and down. Fx everyone feels better soon.

kittykatskumkwat · 28/10/2012 16:45

Ohhh good luck pear, I'm sure hey will be thrilled! Grin

peardrop2 · 28/10/2012 17:57

So DH broke the news over tea! MIL is smiling like a Cheshire Cat and FIL says he doesn't want to be called Grandad. So all in all it didn't go too bad! MIL says she has no ms so maybe this baby has more of my DH genes? Hmm I wonder! I still really think its a boy!!

Thundernonk · 28/10/2012 18:02

Ahh well done you two. Lovely news! Good responses too as I know you didn't quite know what to expect!

MrsBri · 28/10/2012 18:06

Ah, that's great, Peardrop :-) Excellent news!

bringonthetrumpets · 28/10/2012 18:26

So excited for you pear! So exciting telling people :)

merrygiant · 28/10/2012 18:39

Hiya guys, long time no post. Hope you've all been keeping well, I see there's been a few complaints and downsides-to-pregnancy but hopefully soon we will start to feel brighter and lighter (around the belly area, cos I've been feelign really bloated) who am I trying to kid, things are only gonna get worse waist-wise
Happily I've just finished another set of nights and don't have to do any more for at least two weeks. And I wasn't working during the clocks going back which is great cos its always so demoralising, when two becomes one!
No new symptoms to speak of this end, but I have had pear's pleasure of sharing the news. My mum and SD came down for a few hours on their way south on Friday and we told them. DM was very excited, but trying not to go over-the-top after last times disappointment. She says she has bought wool and is itching to get started but has been holding off until our 12w scan confirms all is well.

MrsBri · 29/10/2012 07:06

Exciting being able to tell people, Merry. How on earth do you cope with nights while pregnant? Sounds really hard.

We aren't telling our parents until after the 12 week scan. Partly because some of his family would delight in me losing a baby, so I'm not putting myself in that position.

Boo to it being Monday again :-( Hurrah that I have Friday off though!

How is everyone today?

peardrop2 · 29/10/2012 09:26

merry lovely that you also got to share your happy news. We only told my in laws because they're off travelling Europe again tomorrow so we won't see them until Christmas. We didn't think it was fair to tell them last and we didn't want to share the news over the phone as its their 1st grandchild. Feels more real now that they know!

I'm feeling really bloated today. I was really uncomfortable in the night so I am guessing things might be shifting around or it is constipation related -again!!

MrsBri · 29/10/2012 10:02

I'm sharing your digestion woes, Peardrop...seriously trapped wind and constipation here too. :-/ I feel your pain.

Also fighting vomit. Weird kind of nausea. Not overwhelming, but quite insistent!

peardrop2 · 29/10/2012 10:06

Oh no MrsBri!!! It's really unpleasant isn't it! I'm falling asleep and its 10am...this is not good! How I'm going to make it to 5:30pm is behond me!

I hope some of you are experiencing better things!

kittykatskumkwat · 29/10/2012 10:25

Nope I still have that same well described sicky feeling Nic, not terrible but insistent all day, I've also got lots of spots on my forehead Sad I'm thinking boy

MrsBri · 29/10/2012 10:49

The only thing I like about nausea / constipation is they show we have the right hormones rattling round!

Weirdly not too tired yet. See how that goes!

peardrop2 · 29/10/2012 11:23

Has anyone joined parenting group at Boots.com? I've been waiting ages for my pack with vouchers!

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 29/10/2012 11:38

Morning. I'm having a CBA day today. Although I have played with dd and jelly and cream in a tub on the bathroom floor. Hoping dd will be calmer today because of it. I doubt it Finally had a letter from the council, and have some financial assistance with the rent. Yay.

Not been to boots.com yet pear

Must dig out the bumpf that the midwives sent prior to my appointment on Thursday. Now where exactly did I shove it in my last attempt to tidy?

9 weeks today.

Town in a bit to see what else I can get to play with dd with. and some candles for our pumpkins

Thundernonk · 29/10/2012 12:07

Can I come and play with your dd today frus?

OP posts:
FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 29/10/2012 13:38

You certainly can thund she's currently in her buggy in the middle of town screaming and stripping and throwing items of clothing.

Thundernonk · 29/10/2012 14:12

Oh dear, not good. The jelly sounded more fun...

OP posts:
FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 29/10/2012 15:07

Well tomorrow i'm pouring crispy cerials into a tub to sit her in, if you want to come for that? [hgrin]
I have loads more jelly made up, I could post it to you?

bringonthetrumpets · 29/10/2012 15:29

Bri exciting news that you're finally experiencing the nausea you've been waiting for [hwink]. I think you've described it quite well. Mine has slightly changed so that I feel good from around 12-3 during the day. Anytime outside of those times I'm feeling absolutely horrible. Roll on 13 weeks when hopefully this is gone.

8 weeks today. Time is going slowly, but kind of crazy that I've known about the pregnancy for a full month now!

No new news really. Made up announcements to send out for Thanksgiving so that people will know. I figure since it's #3, it might just be more fun for people to find out through the mail Smile. Is anyone announcing on Facebook? I kind of thinking of never putting it up there.....

MrsBri · 29/10/2012 18:22

Kind of exciting. Not as bad as I thought it would be, but still time! It's the taste in my mouth driving me mad currently!

Lovely idea re Thanksgiving announcements :-) We may do the same at Christmas. Though I was half considering Facebook for a one off announcement to tell our friends all over the country / world, but then not again.

Is anyone else, who is between finding out and first scan finding it hard to believe? I'm just expecting to be told I got it wrong and it is a mistake! :-/

kittykatskumkwat · 29/10/2012 20:04

Nic I was convinced when I was preggers with dd there was nothing in there! I think it goes through more people minds then not!
Midwife app for me tomorrow atlast, only 9 and a half weeks to get to first app Shock
At some point I will get round to pm you my fb details, I want to see your photies, I love a good wedding me Smile I didn't do the fb announcement last time and won't again although I did a birth announcement, some people hadn't known I was pregnant ha ha I just prefer to keep it to myself but dh did do one
