Hmmm...not my kind of bedside manner. Did she feel very dismissive? Not what you want :-/

At least the blood taking went well.

Good about the results being at the scan too. Though that's kind of nerve wracking as well.

You'll be at 12 weeks before you know it :-)

peardrop2 · 25/10/2012 18:34

Very dismissive! Not personal at all :-/ Oh I hope the next two weeks go quicker. My mum did the wedding ring trick with my hair last night...we think it was going side to side meaning a boy lol All a bit of a laugh really!

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 25/10/2012 20:20

[hhmm] that is a shame pear IMO midwives are supposed to be lovely. And any failings in bedside manner are just not on.

bringonthetrumpets · 25/10/2012 20:54

So sorry to hear about your midwife experience, Pear. That's just rude. Are there any other midwives working in that office that you could go see?

Glad to hear that the blood draw was drama free for you :) I always feel horrible when I have to stick someone more than once!

Got to have a little baby fix today. I went to go visit one of my doula clients who had her baby in July. She asked like 3 times if I was going to have anymore kids so I had to tell her, it was so cool getting to tell a doula client! I can't wait to start feeling this little one move, it'll all start feeling so much more real.

peardrop2 · 25/10/2012 22:22

Aww thanks ladies I thought it was a bit weird to have a low key experience with no questions! I have recently moved 15-20 from my current GP so I am now thinking of moving to my local GP that is a 5 min walk so I could actually push the pram to appts which would be v handy! I really like my current GP but now that I'm not very happy with the midwife it might be the best option for me to move and its probably safer/easier to be closer anyway when baby arrives!

MrsBri · 25/10/2012 23:25

That's probably a very good plan, Pear.

Finally made it to bed after dozing on the sofa since 9. Productive evening!

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 26/10/2012 06:51

Morning ladies.

MrsBri · 26/10/2012 07:15

Morning Frustrated. :-) How are you?

I'm trapped on a train at Southport station due to a stuck train in front. It's thrilling! Moving soon though, apparently.

First midnight snack required last night. DH goes out on a Thursday night and when he got back we chatted for a bit. Then I couldn't settle to sleep. But a slice of toast and mug of fruit tea later = sleep. Lovely stuff. This may be the sign of things to come. :-)

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 26/10/2012 08:06

Stuck train sounds a bit boring mrs but could possibly be more exciting than my day. i'm stuck in work for a thoroughly exciting training day. Oh joy of joys. However there is free food, so I may have to go and investigate. I shall follow my superhero super-smelling nose...

On the plus side I don't have to wear work clothes so am very comfortable.

Lorelei353 · 26/10/2012 10:18

I think I'd prefer to be in work today than be feeling how I'm feeling. Bleurgh. Went home at lunch yesterday and feel pretty miserable today. No way I was going to work, especially since I'm trying not to take paracetamol unless I have to (I don't have a temperature or anything - just feel miserable/headcoldy).

I just really don't want to get worse. I haven't had my flu jab yet (hoping to get it at my GP appt. next Thurs) so taking it massively easy now.

Seems like I was worrying about the night out with my friends needlessly. The way I feel, I won't be going now anyway. [hsad]

On the plus side, my nausea has really eased off in the last few days. Not gone completely but an awful lot better.

peardrop2 · 26/10/2012 14:04

I would really like the next 3.5 hrs to go a little quicker!!!!!

MrsBri · 26/10/2012 17:34

I'm so glad today is done with!

It's all very quiet on here recently...where's everyone gone? :-(

Lorelei353 · 26/10/2012 17:50

Really quiet today bri. I've spent the day on the couch watching rubbish telly and sniffling.

How was everyone else's day?

bringonthetrumpets · 26/10/2012 18:03

It's been a bit "meh". I'm freaking myself out as I've been feeling completely fine today, which is a first in like 3 weeks and shame on me...have been searching Dr. Google for disappearing pregnancy symptoms. Bad idea.

So hard to not be anxious about this. It's frustrating that I trust so many other women's bodies to grow a healthy baby and to give birth the way nature intended and then I can't even have faith in my own uterus. Sad

MrsBri · 26/10/2012 18:31

Still feeling crap, Lorelei? :-( Fx you feel better soon.

Trumpets, it's only natural and I'm constantly scaring myself. Big un MN hugs to us all.

bringonthetrumpets · 27/10/2012 06:33

Right, up at 12:30 am my time eating yogurt and hoping that everyone is doing well. It's been very slow around here today!

kittykatskumkwat · 27/10/2012 07:55

Rubish night for me, dd really bad teething even though she usually brilliant her big teeth are comming through top and bottom so I sent dh in with gel, he couldnt do it on his own apparently as he needed his phone in one hand! This is at midnight and I'm knackered! I go in, he's failed to notice her bed is soacked she's been sick etc, he is f in useless, we're not talking now! Happy weekend Sad

MrsBri · 27/10/2012 09:04

Bloody men, kitty. Hope everyone is feeling better today in your house.

I'm feeling very un pregnant right now. Apart from the sore boobs. Though the cramps I have tend to start when I've been up a while.

Have been feeling bloody hungry for hours though.

Can I fast forward to when I have a bump please?!

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 27/10/2012 09:11

Morning. Ugh. Can I go back to bed please?

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 27/10/2012 17:02

How is everybody today?

MrsBri · 27/10/2012 17:16

Not too bad...still not feeling as pregnant, but there you go. Wondering if morning sickness is on the way now I'm at 6 weeks.
Went out for lunch, which was nice. Just watching TV under a blanket at the moment. Nice!

How are you feeling now, Frustrated?

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 27/10/2012 19:07

Should have just stayed in bed this morning because it's been one of those days. I got bitten by a donkey and my youngest lay down in a pig pen. [hgrin] only in my world. Not feeling very pg today either. except for the gagging

MrsBri · 27/10/2012 19:13

Bitten by a donkey? Not many people can say that!

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 27/10/2012 19:18

Evil donkey it was too.

MrsBri · 27/10/2012 19:28

Clearly, if it bit you!
