9 weeks today Grin

GP appointment this afternoon. I was feeling smug when you were all talking about how to hide not drinking as I don't have to worry about that. But yesterday we were at the inlaws house for the day and I had to practise the art of throwing up very quietly. I think I did quite well!

missmaybe · 26/11/2012 10:25

So... had my early scan this morning, following two weeks of spotting/bleeding. They are not sure what caused the bleeding but everything was present and correct and there was a little heartbeat! Embryo measuring 5.4mm, which is apparently slightly small but fingers crossed. So will hope everything goes well until my twelve week scan.

wifey6 · 26/11/2012 10:29

Aww miss that's wonderful news Smile

How many weeks are you?

missmaybe · 26/11/2012 10:36

Thanks, wifey :)

I'm 6 weeks and 4 days, so hopefully right in the middle of a little growth spurt.. it was really good to see a heartbeat though, I was sort of expecting bad news because of the bleeding :)

wifey6 · 26/11/2012 10:40

Lets hope that the next few weeks fly by for your next scan! Smile

esme80 · 26/11/2012 10:44

ellie haha that made me laugh!

miss thats wonderful, how exciting!

8+5 today, feel like nausea is a tad better. Still off food but managing a little better. Would take ds out todaybut have given up on the rain ever letting up! Midwife appointment on thursday, feel like time is starting to move slightly...

SlouchingPanda · 26/11/2012 11:29

Great news, missmaybe!

I'm 7+4 today - still can't really believe I am pregnant, even after seeing the heartbeat last week. I have very sore boobs and the tiniest bit of nausea, but no vomiting at all and am eating like a horse. V jealous of all those with big thick bouncy hair as a side effect!

My dating scan is booked now - 27th Dec. Seems like an age away, but lots of fun things planned between now and then. All being well, we will tell my family that day [excited]!

SchroSawMummyRidingSantaClaus · 26/11/2012 12:24

Miss That's great. :)

I have no idea how far along I am, the Clearblue digital is saying 3+.

Quinandthem · 26/11/2012 12:28

so sorry to hear the bad news jools & Mysterious. I previously had a MC at 8 weeks and luckily for me it all passed within a few hours (even saw the sack) and was just like a normal period for 5 days.

I am now 9+3 and feel relieved that i have gotton past my 8 wk milestone. Although still waiting for the MW appointment, the Drs have sent the referral off and i've been told to chase them by the end of the week - really wanted to have the scan before Christmas (all being well).

I have a few Christmas gatherings/parties coming up and will have to become a better actor between then & now - might be easier to drop out of the casual work one as it would seem VERY odd for me not to be drinking.

Good luck Team July

chocolateteabag · 26/11/2012 12:33

Great news on your scan *missmaybe"

I have had another load of browny red cm this morning - so feeling even more nervous about my scan tomorrow. I don't have any cramps and it's only when I have a "No 2" - so hoping that it's nothing bad. However roll on 3.30pm tomorrow....

Currently feeling marrooned by this awful weather - couldn't get to Northallerton today even if I wanted to, and A19 is flooded so can't get to work. Therefore another day hiding upstairs working while DS runs around below. If he thinks I'm here I will get nothing done not that I am doing much now

chocolateteabag · 26/11/2012 12:38

Arse!
There is a "today only" 25% off on all Isabella Oliver Maternity Stuff

Clearly I cannot buy anything as that would tempt fate far too much for tomorrow

Arsey arse pants

SchroSawMummyRidingSantaClaus · 26/11/2012 13:12

Christ! £39 for a pair of leggings...

esme80 · 26/11/2012 14:18

Is with schro and runs back to h&m maternity...

photographerlady · 26/11/2012 14:35

Aye I will stick with Next :)

chocolateteabag · 26/11/2012 15:17

I know IO is £££ but they are worth it - the jersey is really stretchy so you can wear the tops all the way through and afterwards too.

They also hold their value too - I have bought IO stuff on ebay last time, which I then sold for pretty much the same price once DS was born.

SchroSawMummyRidingSantaClaus · 26/11/2012 15:31

It's just so much money for maternity clothes!

Red Herring is really good, I am still wearing one of the tank tops I got from there when pg with 14mo DS. Really comfy.

Isitme1 · 26/11/2012 15:42

Will read up on the past pages.
How is everyone?

Ive had an eventful day today.
This morning I had blood when I wiped myself after a wee so I rand epu.
The nurse was very nice and she said all my symptoms add up to ectopic pregnancy. (Pain in shoulder, diarrhoea, pain on one side same side as shoulder)
The blood is literally streaks in mucus which to me seems to be urine infection as I suffer a lot with kidney disease.

She couldn't explain bleeding or pain in shoulder. I see cm mw tomorrow will let her know too.

I saw baby bean. Measuring 6weeks+ (few days ahead of what I thought) and a very big amniotic sac (if that's what you call it lol)
Heartbeat going nice anf strong too

Still a bit uneasy though about this blood
X

chocolateteabag · 26/11/2012 16:16

Blush I know IO is £££ - but just thought I'd mention it as I love perusing their website when i should be working

Isitme1 - if you've seen your bean and heartbeat - does that mean they've confirmed it's not ectopic?
I keep getting blood in mucus - seems to be with (ahem) No2's so I was wondering if cervical erosions could bleed when "something" poo goes past in the next door tube

Really hoping I'm going to see a little heartbeat tomorrow and that this ruddy blood would just go away.

Isitme1 · 26/11/2012 17:02

Yup they've ruled that out.
Told them I get a lot of palpitations and what not too.
I do think it's uti but dipstick cant give accurate results as im on long term antibiotics.

Hope all is well for you chocolateteabag xlots of vvirtual hand holding x

wifey6 · 26/11/2012 17:07

Good luck for tomorrow chocolate. Smile

Persuasion · 26/11/2012 17:46

Good luck tomorrow chocolate.

I'm officially 9 weeks today. MS still getting worse, now with regular retching in the evenings which makes the train journey home interesting. A big thank you to whoever suggested polos though, they're keeping me sane!

CottonSock · 26/11/2012 18:32

Chocolate - your story sounds like mine and all was good for me. Fingers crossed for your tomorrow.

I'm bloody knackered today and have such a busy time coming up at work. Do feel for those of you with long commutes.

My DH was asked if I was preg by his best mate at weekend as I was not drinking. Turns out he is a hopeless liar too - grrr. Not that I can say too much as my family know. I really didn't want these friends to know yet as it's the couple I'm supposed to be bridesmaid for next year when I will be (hopefully) as fat as a whale. Oh well.

Trying to stay away from maternity clothes. However, the Primark snuggle suit I got for £8 on saturday is amazing (if not very sexy). Had to wear 'fat' work trousers today but they should fit until new year when hopefully I will get some sale discounts!

Isitme1 · 26/11/2012 19:11

I actually sneaked some old maternity clothes into my now clothes. I wore somematernity pants the other day.
Im soo bloated. Buuut I did see the amount of fluid in the sac around little bean which im guessing could have something to do with it
X

SchroSawMummyRidingSantaClaus · 26/11/2012 19:18

So, I was at the GP today. I was asked when my last period was and I didn't have a clue as I had been on birth control until I found out last week.

I did remember though that I had told her I was on my period the last time we spoke on the phone as we were discussing the Nuvaring.

That was Sept 22nd... Shock

RancerDoo · 26/11/2012 20:24

Gah, I'm dreading buying maternity clothes.
IO is made for giants (although there is one dress I am vaguely tempted by). Lots of other brands involve silly amounts of pattern and are designed or women who have lost their mind.
For some reason I can't find bootcut mat jeans that I like. Given I look like a weeble in skinny jens when unpregnant I am not trying them when I am the size of a shed!
This is not going to be fun...

No further symptoms, other than a spotty scalp. I think scabby scalp acne must be the most revolting pregnancy side effect I have ever experienced!

Scan tomorrow, hoping for a heartbeat. Good luck for yours, chocolate.
