jools there is a lot of mixed information out there about how long to wait. However, the mc support group that I belong too always advocated not waiting. Some couples do try straight away and some don't and I think it is more down to when you feel ready. Here is a piece of news from last year about it on the NHS website x

ArkadyRose · 24/11/2012 15:59

jools It was quite a few years ago now, so I'm OK to talk about it these days. That one wasn't actually planned; it was whilst I was with my late XH. We didn't try again, as we already had 2 little girls. I had another mc years later with my current partner, but again - we weren't actually trying. He and I went on to have a little girl together 5 years ago - she was planned - but I had another mc back in Sept when we decided to try for one more. We didn't try again until this cycle, and got a positive this time; I wanted to give my body at least one cycle to recover & make sure everything was back to normal again.

My mother tells me she always did the same - left one cycle between a mc & the next try; so does my youngest sister, who's also prone to mc. She went on to eventually have 4 kids, of whom I'm the eldest, and my sister has 3 girls. Maybe sometimes the body needs a bit of a practice run but doesn't quite get it right? There's a very good chance that next time everything will work out just fine; this time it just wasn't quite ready. I'll keep my fingers crossed that all goes well for you next time - and that the next week isn't too uncomfortable for you.

orangebubbles · 24/11/2012 15:59

x-post jools oh my days, I am so very very very sorry. Be kind to your self, allow yourself to grieve for this much longed and awaited for baby. lots of love to you and your dh x

princessllama · 24/11/2012 21:38

Mysterious and jools i am sorry you're not staying with us. I 'm glad there is the small positive of feeling a bit more energetic mysterious, i remember that really helped me when had i m/c. Jools i hope you stop bleeding soon and glad they scanned you promptly today. Big hug to you both

RancerDoo · 24/11/2012 21:55

I'm sorry it hasn't worked out, mysterious and jools. Take care xx.

Not a lot going on here. i am largely symptomless but my hair appears to be falling out (which is the exact opposite of what is meant to happen, I think). Perhaps it is a side effect of Haribo excess...
Scan on Tuesday to check for a heartbeat. Am crossing everything.

chocolateteabag · 24/11/2012 23:07

I'm sorry too Jools - hope this is just a bump in the road for you and you are back on one of these threads vv soon for the long haul.
Take care Thanks

Isitme1 · 25/11/2012 08:29

Hope you both get seen to quickly and like everyone else here im sorry
Thanks

♡ x

missmaybe · 25/11/2012 09:40

jools, if you're still checking back here, thinking of you and many hugs ((( )))

RancerDoo, my hair is falling out too! I am baffled as I thought it was meant to be the opposite! I hope I get to keep some :)

Calmisthemantra · 25/11/2012 10:01

Thinking of you jools and mysterious Will miss you in here (((())))

emblosion · 25/11/2012 14:16

So sorry Jools and Mysterious :( hope it happens for you guys soon.

Will be thinking of you Thanks

SchroSawMummyRidingSantaClaus · 25/11/2012 14:18

I am so sorry Jools and Mysterious :( Thanks

BooStar · 25/11/2012 16:57

So sorry jools & Mysterious

Another positive to hang on to is that you naturally have a spike in fertility after a pregnancy so as soon as you're emotionally ready - get going again!

emblosion · 25/11/2012 18:06

Rancer my hair seems to be coming out more than usual too, glad its not just me! Good luck for Tuesday :)

Haven't posted much as not much happening, time is going slooowly! I'm so tired, had forgotten how exhausting early pg is.

In other news, we put our Xmas tree up today as we were feeling festive!

SchroSawMummyRidingSantaClaus · 25/11/2012 18:08

My hair just keeps getting thicker and thicker. I really don't like it, I have a pixie cut and it doesn't look right!

Thinkingof4 · 25/11/2012 18:38

Well I have had my scan, we saw a little heartbeat and my dates look ok so feeling quite relieved really. It makes it feel a little more real but I'll still be worrying till my next scan at least.
emblosion we had school Christmas fayre today so feeling a tiny bit christmassy here too as all I bought was some tree decorations (quite a few!). Only a month to go so we can get a little bit festive now I suppose

princessllama · 25/11/2012 19:28

Schro my hair is getting crazy thick too. I already have so much hair they make me pay extra at hairdressers... If i dont keep it at least below shoulders then it goes fuzzy. I got desperate in first pg in hot summer- was like highland cow. I got the hairdresser to shave it at back underneath where no one could see. Dh was not happy.
I am thinking this baby is going to come out v unhealthy-with dd and ds i craved healthy stuff mostly- now all i want is beef hula hoops, potato more potato and curry Hmm
First proper vomitting this am cleaning up cat sick with half digested mouse. I was struggling already but lost it when ds said 'look there's its kidney'

chocolateteabag · 25/11/2012 20:26

Hi Rancer - I 've got a scan on Tuesday afternoon, starting to sh*t myself about it

I have weird bushy hair normally - have a home Keratin kits which I keep meaning to do but had now better look at whether it's "safe" when pg

Got the Sunday blues Sad, have been in Harrogate with DM all day at the Knitting and Stitching show and as I need to leave at silly o'clock tomorrowwill miss her leaving. Hate Sunday evening, Antiques Roadshow depresses me

SchroSawMummyRidingSantaClaus · 25/11/2012 21:18

Princess I normally get complaints when I go to the hairdressers, they tell me my hair isn't actually that thick, it's just I have tons of it. It looks a proper mess right now because it is getting so thick and it's very very short. :( Hairdresser cousin is coming to do it this week! :o

I'm craving apple juice, same as last pregnancy. I have drank a 1l of Appletiser today and now I am onto a 1l carton. Blush

No other symptoms yet.

SlouchingPanda · 25/11/2012 22:28

Been off thread for a few days - so sorry to hear about Mysterious and Jools. If you are still reading, be strong through this, allow yourself the time you need to recover emotionally, keep heart and I wish you happiness and joy for the future.
