Oh 2 cups of tea a day is our limit apparently
Link is here

Grannyapple · 18/11/2012 19:47

Whit?!?!? 2 cups of tea?? Actually thinking about it, I only ever really have one cup a day, plus either a mint tea or a coffee [hmmm]

(Although have had at least 4 today...tis the w/e after all Smile).

magoosmom · 18/11/2012 19:53

Hi all, got my BFP last night Grin EDD 26th July. Already have DS 14 months. DH has already asked me if I think it's a boy or a girl HmmGrin had a very early miscarriage in Sept (was only 4 weeks) so FX for this time .

Isitme1 · 18/11/2012 20:21

Ive had a go at the tetleys decaff. Thats not too bad.
Diarrhea not stopped and as im going to gp tomorrow will let him know.

Just keeping myself nicely hydrated.
Been very emotional today due to ds health. Feel very useless.
X

Persuasion · 18/11/2012 20:52

Arghhh, I just wrote a long post and stupid iPad lost it. In brief I was empathising with isitme about hormonal emotions, and moaning about nausea, and tomorrow's commute (just had a week of annual leave). Have also discovered travel sickness armbands are helping my nausea.

GrannyApple, BoyMeets and OhGood I'm also a jser, just hadn't been on the thread or a while oz I was getting stressed, and then I got pregnant!

Mizar · 18/11/2012 21:00

Hi All,

Can I join? I've been lurking as it hasn't really sunk in since the BFP and I'm just scared for the worst (this being our first). Have hardly had any symptoms at all, slightly sore breasts, a bit of backache and today the bottom of my belly is weirdly sore in a dull ache all the way across. I'm assuming everything is normal as not really sure what to expect!

I've got the first doctor's appointment on Friday so I guess I'll see what she says.

No idea how I'm going to get through Xmas party season without being found out. People were suspicious when I was on cranberry juice last week and then a friend brought round champagne. Think my acting and losing drinks skills are going to have to improve!

photographerlady · 18/11/2012 21:41

Welcome magoo and migar.

I've been away this weekend sleeping as long as I could. My nausea had completely subsided but man I'm a tired. This week will hopefully be better than the last as I find myself exhausted by time time I need to make the commute home. Halfway through wk 5 let's see ehatse is in store.

ArkadyRose · 18/11/2012 21:54

I cooked fish for dinner tonight and really wished I hadn't! Didn't actually throw up but after smelling it cooking I really had gone off the idea of eating it.

I've been getting an annoying cramp low down on the left hand side; that can go away any time soon, thanks! Wary of using a hot water bottle to ease it though as I don't want to risk cooking the little bean! Shock

chocolateteabag · 18/11/2012 22:46

Hi Mizar your symptoms sounds just like mine now and with DS so I wouldn't worry.
But yes you'll need to get good at holding a glass and taking fake sips, rope in DH or good friend to take drinks and get you lime and sodas etc.

CottonSock · 19/11/2012 08:58

Arkady I have annoying pain on right side. Think its round ligaments as in right place but 8.5 weeks seems early! Gave into a bath and hot water bottle which I kept over hip away from bean and it did help. Bad again this morning but eased after I have been moving about. Anyone else had?

chocolateteabag · 19/11/2012 09:53

Hi Cottonsock - do you mean a pain in your hip joint or "womb" pain?
We need to be careful already not to overstretch as we've already got relaxin hormone making ligaments all stretchy but if you are alreadyy getting pains like that then mention to MW when booking in in case you are getting early SPD. May be something they can suggest to help (support knicker? Grin)

Hopefully is just a random "twinge" which will ease soon

I am at work, hiding away in a mini meeting room to mn and feeling bleeuugh. Can't even face a latte coffee and have gone off chocolate - so clearly pregnant. Soo tired, just want to go home now and sleep

CottonSock · 19/11/2012 10:56

Thanks chocolate. Its next to hip in location of round ligaments according to google. My mum said I'm silly and its far too early. But, I have back and hip probs already partly from being hyper mobile. Oh support pants lol I can only imagine. I also have some aches in womb area too think making bladder contract and this is going to get so much worse ;) sorry to hear you are off chocolate. I am only off healthy things!

ArkadyRose · 19/11/2012 11:01

CottonSock Far too early for round ligament pain for me - I'm only at 4w5d. Sometimes the luteal body (the bit that pops out an egg on the ovary when you ovulate) hangs around and forms a cyst afterwards; given that I'm pretty certain I ovulated from the left ovary that would tally with the pain I'm feeling now. It should ease up in a few weeks, but it's a nuisance right now.

CottonSock · 19/11/2012 11:01

Ps what's a jeser?? A conception thread of an acronym. And welcome mizar. Work so slow today so lots of minute time for me!

Quinandthem · 19/11/2012 11:22

i've also had a pain that keep returning for a few days on my left side just above my hip bone - was slightly worried as only had it on left side and not equally. but that was last week and haven't had the pain since.

i'm very lucky to be going to a spa with my mum on wednesday night as my mum's partner paid for us to go for our Birthdays - only dont know what treatments i can actually have (it was paid for before i had told her i was pregnant). any advise?

SlouchingPanda · 19/11/2012 11:35

Wow! Loads of newbies - welcome all!

Am 6+4 today - whoop! And even more excitingly, had an early scan this morning, and it's not all in my mind. Saw a gestation sac, a fetal pole and a heartbeat - double whoop! As I am the world's biggest worrier, I was quite convinced it would be (a) ectopic (b) nothing there (c) really tiny, despite my dates being certain or (d) twins. But it was perfect. I can't believe that we have created something that has got a heartbeat! It's pure magic.

Quinandthem · 19/11/2012 12:33

how exciting Panda.

i'm hoping to get my MW appointment through soon as i saw the GP about 3 weeks ago - want to get the scan in before Christmas. If that doesn't look likely than we will go for a private scan.

Got my maternity prescription exemption card through but they have managed to spell my name wrong so i've had to call them. Although since i've had a cold for the last week it seems that you can't actually take anything when you're pregnant anyway...

Just turned 8+2, feel that i'm ticking through the days now.

MrsWildermac · 19/11/2012 13:28

How exciting panda!

I've been getting some hip pain and niggly pain too, but it goes away and really is only niggles! Sounds like it's quite common though if lots of us have it!

Anyone else got insomnia and when you do sleep have REALLY vivid dreams? Was convinced in one of the rare bits of sleep last night that I was having triplets!

BooStar · 19/11/2012 13:53

Hi all,

Is anyone else having niggly achey womb pains? I wouldn't go so far as to say cramps but I'm got what feels like mild period pain and slightly sharper pricking feelings. Ive had it now almost all the time since Thursday. I'm now on constant pant watch but nothing there so far. I don't remember having this with DS (kicking myself for not keeping diary now!)
I'm having a few waves of nausea but not much - keep trying to reassure myself that its early days so not to expect too many symptoms but the lack of combined with the niggly pain is worrying me :(

BooStar · 19/11/2012 13:55

Ooh - mrsWildermac, I am having very vivid dreams too, crazy vivid actually! I guess that's a symptom!! :)

MysteriousNameChange · 19/11/2012 14:00

Bored of no symptoms now. Almost convinced I'm not pregnant at all and my period has just gone on a world cruise.

photographerlady · 19/11/2012 14:12

panda lovely to hear you had such a good scan!

elliejjtiny · 19/11/2012 14:30

yy to the dreams, I always get them. With DS3 I used to dream that my a-level teacher phoned up and told me they had remarked my coursework and decided I had failed!

Persuasion · 19/11/2012 14:46

I have crazy dreams too, definitely a symptom!

Am really struggling with first day back at work. Wish I had no symptoms, coz I feel like I'm dying, although then I'd worry, so my body really can't win!

SlouchingPanda · 19/11/2012 15:00

Thanks everyone! I have officially been discharged from fertility clinic Grin.

Boostar I am having random achy womb pains, often in the early morning. Otherwise apart from achy boobs and lots of saliva I really don't feel any different. But it's not in my head - I am officially PREGNANT!

Now just have to tie down the midwife to a booking appointment... easier said than done.
