Afternoon all. Well after all the vomiting I ended up at the out of hours GP yesterday and they admitted me to antenal at hospital last night. Got a magical anti sickness drug (but now have a sore injected bottom!) And was on mission rehydrateto try to avoid a drip. It worked but I'm still in hospital Confused Am supposed to be going home but they really are busy so am waiting patiently in my side room. There are sooo many brand new babies (shocking I know!) I can't wait until miniGuinea arrives...who seems perfectly happy where he/she is thankfully.

Hope you had less eventful starts to your week!

tiredteddy · 19/11/2012 13:33

Oh no guinea hope you are feeling much better and get home soon x

Persuasion · 19/11/2012 16:55

Indeed guinea I hope you're home and better soon. How far through are you now, I can't remember?

something you've been quiet for a while since your steroid shot, I hope everything is ok??

I'm back at work after a week of annual leave, and feel crap! Have my midwife appointment on thursday though, which also means a bit of a lie in, cannot tell you how much I'm looking forward to that.

I also can't remember if I commented on wing's scan, but yay for a girl, especially as you seem so excited about it.

CuriosityCola · 19/11/2012 17:18

Guinea hope you feel better soon and that you are back home quickly.

Pineapple80 · 20/11/2012 06:20

Oh dear, I hope you recover soon guinea Sad. Take care and rest plenty.

WingDefence · 20/11/2012 10:36

Guinea yikes that sounds bad! :( We really are going trough a lot on this fred aren't we?!

I do hope you've stopped vomiting now and you have turned a corner. You must be ravenous so have a Biscuit or three Biscuit Biscuit Biscuit

Hope the rest of you are doing okay? I actually took yesterday off work sick as I've had a cold for a few days and after our busy weekend I Es knackered so I took myself off to bed for the afternoon Grin

WingDefence · 20/11/2012 10:37

*through

Dur.

tiredteddy · 20/11/2012 11:40

All fine here. In fact I'm in Guildford trying to tackle the Christmas shopping. Just stopped fir hot chocolate and a cheese and ham toastie!

Pineapple80 · 20/11/2012 13:31

Hope you're feeling better wing!

And happy shopping tired! Good to try and get it out of the way sooner. Nothing worse than the last minute rush!

Feeling nauseas today, nothing too major but just a really icky feeling that keeps hanging around. Eating a fruit salad now which is helping a bit.

Persuasion · 20/11/2012 14:49

At work here. Not exciting at all! I'm so unmotivated, I just want to go to sleep! Shopping sounds good teddy - at least you're getting it out of the way early.

ChildOfThe1980s · 20/11/2012 17:04

Congrats on the girl Wing - so exciting. :)

Hope you are feeling better now Guinea?

Just wanted to pop in and say hi and that I've had my 12 week scan and baby is perfect (huge relief as I was convinced something would be wrong.)

We even got extra photos (8) as the sonographer said the baby is photogenic :) And apparently I have a super-strong bladder, woo hoo.

I am 13 weeks today and getting close to having to wear maternity trousers- at least work knows now so I don't have to hide it anymore.

tiredteddy · 20/11/2012 17:59

Wow child that's great news and lots of pics too! Really pleased all is okay with you and bump!

WingDefence · 20/11/2012 18:23

Woo hoo Child!

So glad everything's going well Grin And I'm jealous at you getting 8 photos! Each one costs £4 here so I have one from the 14 week scan and two from last week, but that was only because DH paid for one (as agreed) but the sonographer had printed off two so the receptionist gave us the other one for free! One of the two is quite blurry so I have that one blu-tacked at the side of my PC screen :)

We've just told DS that he's having a sister. He stopped smiling and went really quiet for a few seconds so we kept our happy faces on and minded him of all his friends who have sisters and asked him to be the 'protector brother' just like his friends with younger (and some with older) sisters and he seems happy about that now. Phew Confused

ICompletelyKnowAboutGuineaPigs · 20/11/2012 22:16

Thanks for your well wishes everyone. I successfully managed to eat today without being sick - hooray! Good job really because I had DD to look afetr and my anti-sickness tablets render me incapable of anything but sleeping which is pretty much the same as usual

Hope you're feeling better Wing - hurrah for beds and time off work! Can't believe you've managed to wait hold off telling DS until now, I am so impressed. My DD noticed my tummy ages ago and kept telling me it's squidgy - hence DC3s nickname is Squidge Grin Glad he took it ok (eventually)

Child great news about scan and all looking good with miniChild and am also Envy of photos. Can't complain really though, we got free photos at the 12 week scan, they only charge for the 20 week scan photos here.

I actually have the Christmas shopping for the kids sorted thankfully and haven't had to brave the shops at all - love internet shopping - though I think the hot chocolate and toastie break sounds well worth the effort Tired, hope you had a good day and have bought loads of pressies. Are you buying anything for miniTired? I have said that the kids can choose a small toy each for miniGuinea as we'll know by then whether we're having a boy or a girl and I think it will be a nice way to let them bond before baby arrives. Would it be going too far to make miniGuinea a mini stocking?

Anyway...must be off to bed as am ridiculously tired and despite the overwhelming tiredness that accompanies my every waking hour, for some reason as soon as I get into bed I feel simultaneously ridiculously tired and ridiculously awake Confused

Night all

tiredteddy · 21/11/2012 08:36

Hi guinea I didn't get anything specifically for minitired for Xmas. all ready for her arrival though at home now. Clothes washed, cot up etc. Need to set up steriliser etc and get new pram when I go out with mil in two weeks time. Think cos we haven't told anyone it's a girl we are outwardly resisting shopping saying wait and see to the boys. Shopping spree when she arrives! (there's a bit of me that worries they might have been wrong) go ahead and do a sticking it sounds lovely. Ds2 dud choose a little rabbit comforter last weekend he wanted to get the baby. They do like choosing things.

MrsBri · 21/11/2012 09:05

Glad you're feeling a touch better, Guinea :-) Fx you keep improving.

I think a stocking is a lovely idea.

Just had my flu jab. Not feeling as pregnant today, but I always feel less rough on days I can ease myself into it. And thanks to my jab I got an extra 90 minutes in bed. Awake, but relaxing. Really does help. :-)

My morning cup of tea still sent me dashing to be sick though...one day that'll pass!

WingDefence · 21/11/2012 09:37

Still being sick MrsBri? yuck, poor you. Remind me how far along you are now (cos I am crap and can't remember)? And morning Tired!

Guinea we told DS I was expecting after the 14 week scan but this was just telling him that it was a sister for him. He's decided we should call MiniWing Belly Shiftwell (if you've seen Cars 2, you'll know where that comes from) Grin

DH is away with work from early this morning till Friday evening. And I have a big bag of peanut M&Ms in the house. Coincidence? I think not!! Grin

Oh and I saw on another fred that pregnant wimmin can now eat stilton - the NHS say it's fine and everything! That makes my Christmas plans a bit merrier. Now if only they did non-alcoholic port... Wine

tiredteddy · 21/11/2012 12:04

Hi wing fab name choice from your DS that made me giggle! Grin

mrsbri I found my arm sore for a few days after the flu jab hope yours is ok! I still feel and get sick at times when I'm really tired so I recommend lots of naps!!

ChildOfThe1980s · 21/11/2012 14:37

Wing I had stilton weeks ago and then realised that I may not be able to eat it. I felt so guilty that I googled it, and discovered that it's ok to eat. Pretty cross that goat's cheese is banned though, as well as all the lovely Christmas cheeses. So unfair.

Guinea I am also temped to buy miniChild a small Christmas gift, but I probably shouldn't. Unless I see something really good.

MrsBri · 21/11/2012 15:13

What, no wensleydale with cranberries?! I hope I can have at least that!!

And I'm 9+4. Not feeling as consistently nauseous these days, mostly just weird! Don't really know how to describe it.

And if I'm sick I only feel sick Judy before I am, then it's done with. Thank god.

Can't have naps, sadly...work wouldn't approve! :-(

MrsBri · 21/11/2012 15:15

Oh, and no sore arm. Yet!!

Hope everyone is OK today :-)

WingDefence · 21/11/2012 17:37

MrsBri I think any hard cheese is fine!

My arm felt bruised for a couple of days do I hope yours is much better :)

MrsBri · 21/11/2012 17:50

That's a relief...not huge on soft cheeses anyway, overly. Though I'm eating so much cheddar these days I'm amazed I've not clogged my arteries yet!

No sign of my arm being sore...see how it is when I wake up tomorrow!

CuriosityCola · 21/11/2012 20:10

You can eat goats cheese if it's cooked e.g. Goats cheese tart.

Pineapple80 · 21/11/2012 21:00

Hello ladies! How are you all?

Had my last day at work today and was a really lovely day, hilarious farewell gift and very nice send off at the pub. Quite sad to be leaving actually!!

Glad most of you are feeling better this week. I have my first scan in less than 2 wks!

Well now I will be dedicated full time to packing, wish me luck!!
