Bubblebell1 · 14/09/2012 18:50

Thanks girls. Been having a few bhs but fluid loss is slowing down. I don't know what that means.
I'm just gonna wait and see. Maybe it was just me taking water on board from my lovely bubble bath earlier Blush

goodsenseofdirection · 14/09/2012 19:20

bubble that sounds exciting! keep us posted x

thunder and ST enjoy your maternity leave Grin hope you have a few days to put your feet up!

weesooty The flat is progressing but it still feels like we've so far to go - that's partly what's keeping me awake at night. Luckily, still 5 weeks to due date so fx will have kitchen in and bedrooms carpeted by then. The heating is finished as of today Grin Are you all sorted now?

elvis no I'm not in Bristol! We're in London - and now bracing myself for a 3 hour nct breastfeeding class tomorrow. Seems like a long class...

hope everyone else is doing well and looking forward to the weekend.

MakeTeaNotWar · 14/09/2012 21:16

Good luck bubble !

Now that I'm on mat leave, I've been able to try the aqua natal classes in town and they are fab, such bliss to take weight off my aching hips and back.

DH is on a boys night out tonight...I won't go into labour will?! 38 + 3, got to 40 + 13 with DD.

Baby is ROP so desperately hoping it turns in labour. Midwife is giving me a sweep at my next app on my due date!

Oh that is not ideal. Pull the pregnant card and insist on a wee lunch time nap.

Hope it goes well xx

CaptainHetty · 15/09/2012 08:37

More overnight contractions, still no baby

Hope everyone has a good day and those of you who are suffering lack of sleep manage to get some well deserved rest.

Also hope Bubble had a baby overnight :o

Morning girls!

Well.
No baby. No more tightenings and just a little fluid loss.

I'm convinced it's from being in the bath yesterday.

Feel a right plum. Blush

Don't feel daft! I still think you should get checked out, even if you just call and ask - or get someone else to do it if you feel silly for asking. Water loss would slow down after a while - there's only so much there to lose! And unless you've retained a lot of water from baths before it sounds unlikely you'd still be holding that x

Bubblebell1 · 15/09/2012 09:59

Could it be an increase in discharge?

I will call if it doesn't stop.

Got to pick up my new car today Grin.

Thumbwitch · 15/09/2012 12:57

Bubble - I also think you should just get checked out, you know, to be on the safe side. And also in case your waters are about to go - you don't want to flood out your shiny new car, now do you? Wink

Thunder - that would have made me Very Cross - so close to your time, anything could have happened and he wasn't there and not available either! Glad nothing happened.

Had to poke the baby this morning - normally it wakes up when I do but not today - so spent a few mins poking and prodding until it kicked back! Paranoid, me? Blush

Bubblebell1 · 15/09/2012 16:47

Finally decided to come to the delivery suit. Still leaking fluid.

Will keep u all updated xx

CaptainHetty · 15/09/2012 16:51

Good luck Bubble x

Little madam just gave me the biggest jab ever to the left side, it was so intense it felt like my side was going to burst Shock it actually aches where she did it Hmm

Good luck Bubble. Hope something happens for you soon.

I did my last day at work yesterday. Although I do have to do a little work this evening. Then I am done!

Had my 36 week check last Thursday. MW said everything was ok but she is trying to get me some physio in the next 2 weeks because I have started getting some SPD pain. Not sure she will be successful.

I definitely want pip to stay where she is for the next 3 weeks. DD's birth turned into such a drama so this time I really want my nice calm elcs.

MissPollysTrolleyed · 15/09/2012 20:33

Things are getting very exiting around here!

Bubble, regular discharge is usually creamy and I don't think you'd take in water from your bath so am really glad you're having it checked out. My waters broke very gradually over my labour with DC1 so they don't necessarily need to whoosh out.

Running and Thunderbolt, enjoy your time off. I finished this week too and it feels amazing. I love my job but it's very full-on and I had had enough weeks ago and am so glad to be able to slow down a little at last.

I just found some stretchmarks after my bath tonight Sad. I didn't get them with my first pregnancy and my mum never got them so I thought I was immune but I'm not. I can't seem to get terribly worked up about them now though. I am probably letting myself go will worry about it at bikini time next summer.

Bubblebell1 · 15/09/2012 20:48

Hi ladies.

Well. Baby is fully engaged but the fluid is very watery discharge. Blush
Midwife said it is normal but this is my third and I've never experienced it before.
I'm glad to be home and relieved to know nothing sinister is happening.

There was a terrible experience in our family 7 years ago with prom and group b strep so I'm glad that baby isn't at risk.

I will advise you girls that have had enough of being pregnant that walking 7 flights of stairs in a shopping centre does wonders for babies position and getting the baby to drop and put pressure on the cervix. Wink

Glad that some of you are finally starting mat leave. I really admire those still spending all day at the grind stone.

I have 2 weeks til my cs and I'm hoping nothing happens til then. I felt so out of control worrying that my waters had gone and am relying on sticking to my carefully made plans.

That's good to hear Bubble - although I think I'll pass on your 7 flights of stairs suggestion, I don't think my pelvis could take it now! Grin

Will start the crawling around on all fours after tomorrow, and the other things, once I know where the baby is (I'm still feeling like it's oblique transverse, judging by where I'm being most walloped!)

HeyMicky · 16/09/2012 02:04

Apparently, the best way to bring on labour is to go to a christening...

Waters have broken (1am) - am at PILs and DH has had a drink so not going anywhere till about 6. Hospital don't want me till 8am. Sadly, birth centre is currently full :(
