DeekeyDoo · 13/08/2012 20:48

camel I've found a local place (on the net) that charges £70. I think I will be just 7 weeks when I go for the scan which is probably still too early to see anything much and to put my mind at rest! But I just want to know that it is real and ok. By my date of last period I will be 9 weeks by then but I know i ovulated really late as I didn't get a positive test until almost 2 weeks after af was due! What date are you due?

CamelKnees · 13/08/2012 20:57

kitty you've made me smile calling me a pro. Grin Makes me think of some super duper earth mother who just sneezes and pops out a bouncing 8lb baby! Fingers crossed eh (although not the earth mother bit - I like my underarms hair free thanks very much).

deeky I'm only 4+0 today so I've got a frigging lifetime before I can have any sort of scan. Also stupidly bought CB digis today with the intention of making sure HCG levels are rising but now think I'm too scared to use them. Just stumbled over a thread which mentioned CBDs sometimes getting a bit of a slagging for not getting dates right. Don't think I can take any other worries right now so might just stick to finishing off my eBay cheapies and hope they get darker.

Poor DH is all I can say. He's had to out up with me going from sex crazed to 2WW crabby to nervous wreck all in the space of 2.5 weeks....

DeekeyDoo · 13/08/2012 21:05

Lol camel my DH is the same ;)

SnowieBear · 13/08/2012 21:28

Hi ladies, congrats to you all! I've been lurking since last Tuesday when I had a positive test. Question is... do I belong here? Life has been so hectic of late that I am dimly aware of my last period sometime in June - beggining, middle or late, I cannot really tell (I'd hazard a guess middle to late).

We've got a DS(6) and I turned 39 & 4/4 Grin earlier on in the year... I feel like a right (but very happy) muppet. Spoke to GP to manage coming off antidepresants (doing well, fingers crossed) and have booking appointment on 13th September, which seems ages away. In the meantime, looking forward to two-week break with DS with my family in Spain.

So... April, March.... what do you think?

SnowieBear · 13/08/2012 21:32

And yes to sore boobs, uncomfortable clothes, cramps (ribcage too!), lower back pain and an unquenchable need to sleep. And weeing for England!

Teapig · 13/08/2012 21:33

Camel I know what your mean about all the worrying, I'm driving myself mad. It may sound stupid but I'm really hoping for some clear symptoms just so it feels different from last time and I can believe this time it will stick. Damn my boobs, why are they not sore?

Also worrying about when to tell close family. It's my birthday this week and without sounding like a total booze hound people will suspect immediately if I'm not drinking. I'm thinking I might tell my parents, we see them a lot so I will quickly run out of reasons for being tee total. Friends are coming over on Friday night and I think I can get away with that by sticking to virgin mojitos and letting them assume I'm drinking. This upduffed thing is a tricky business.

I'm 4+0 today, 12 week scan feels like forever away. Hope we all get there without worrying ourselves crazy.

EssexWelsh · 13/08/2012 21:52

RIGHT CAUTION NOTE HAVE BEEN ASKED FOR DETAILS SO POSS TMI

kittykats have had mostly brown but had a bad 'episode' Friday when had red with tiny clots (like 2mm) and some white bits again same size, but no pain and since then just brown unless been for bm then had few drops of red I think from any sort of straining.

RileyLee what symptoms have you had with spotting/bleeding if you don't mind sharing?

kittykatsforever · 13/08/2012 22:06

Snow bear I think you may be march, my lmp date was 21st June and when I put that into calculator it was late march, I just know I ovd late
Essex I had red and clots with my first bleed, larger then 2mm one bit looked like string ( sorry guys) but my levels still went up after, I think it was a breakthrough af due to late late ov but my second bleed is getting progressively worse, started dark yellow fri, then pale brown, dark brown, dark red and now tonight bright red, to be honist I've just about lost every scrap of hope, how can a bean survive all this blood, I've only not bleed for 3 days in 2 weeks!! I've got a digi to do tomorrow as did it the first tue 1-2, last tue2-3 so by rights tomorrow would be 3+ I'm scared to death the phonecall yesterday to get bloods was bad enough and made me burst out crying because I was so sure it'd be bad, do you ever deal you must have really upset someone in a past life!!!

EssexWelsh · 13/08/2012 22:15

Oh no, it is just torture isn't it?! So what did your bloods show yesterday? Hopeful that levels have gone up!

CamelKnees · 13/08/2012 22:16

Oh kitty I'm gutted for you that you're having to deal with all of this. Will be thinking of you lots and keeping everything crossed before I check back in here tomorrow. Only 3 more sleeps till Thursday. Really hope you get some answers

CamelKnees · 13/08/2012 22:17

Ps - holy heavy boobs!! Just took bra off and actually winced. Since I put it on this morning they feel like they've got about a stone heavier. WTF?

kittykatsforever · 13/08/2012 22:23

Yes bloods had gone from 232 to 775 roughly in 4 days which was in guideline for progressing pregnancy, I was hoping for over 800 ( why it makes that much difference I don't know) but looking online it's surposed to double every 2/3 days of go up by atleast 60% and mine have
Camel in envious of the huge boobs, mine went bigger quite quickly first time, since bf they've felt much " emptier" they still havnt perked up yet Sad

SnowieBear · 13/08/2012 22:30

Kitty, thanks for answering, really sorry to hear you are having such an awful time, don't give up hope, try (difficult, I know...) to relax as much as possible. Hoping for good news for you x

MrsTwinks · 13/08/2012 22:31

camel I felt like that all last week. Got refitted yesterday and already up a size!! Dh is happily looking forward to more growth.. He doesn't realise he won't get his hands on them cos oww!

josie81 · 13/08/2012 22:34

Oh kitty I have everything crossed for you, that must be incredibly stressful for you. I'm sure its not much comfort but I know loads of people who've had early bleeding and gone on to have textbook pregnancies.

Ditto on the boobage front camel mine feel like they weigh a tonne! And so sore I had to wear a sports bra for work today because all my normal bras felt horribly constricting. Fun fun fun

CamelKnees · 13/08/2012 22:35

kitty they feel weird and heavy feeling and hot but no growth yet! I was the same first time around but they are stubbornly the same size so far...... To my untrained eye those numbers look good.

mrstwinks that's some impressive growth! DH took a ridiculous amount of pride in the fact that he got to sleep in the same bed as my double FFs when I was preggers with DD. shame he only ever really got to admire them from afar!

Dandelion75 · 13/08/2012 22:40

Hi kittykatsforever - had 2 put back so yes there is a chance of twins! Almost can't even think about it - twins would be just the best news ever! Will keep you posted as we should know on Friday x

Dandelion75 · 13/08/2012 22:48

deekydo - just to let you know I'm having a scan this week when I will be 6+5 at my clinic (because I had IVF) and have been told that they will be able to see that pregnancy is in the right place, and if everything is ok a little flicker of a heartbeat will be visible. So at 7 weeks you should be able to see the same on your early scan. However mine is an internal scan rather than an ultrasound (which I've had every few days throughout iVF so am used to it.....!) X

HiHowAreYou · 13/08/2012 23:10

Giddypants I had just got round to reading the thread from the beginning and was going to say hello to you as a fellow abruption sufferer. It is scary to do it again isn't it? I might ask for an elective CS, but then I don't know if I'll get that far.

Mine started at 31 weeks but it was slow to begin with so I made it into hospital. I know I was lucky in that respect.

You being at home must have been awful, so very scary for you. :(

I'm sorry to hear your DC has lasting damage. My DD has a few problems but nothing major.

How old is your DC now? I said for a while that I wouldn't do it again, even though I always wanted more than one DC, but time changed my mind and here I am.

Gosh I went on a bit there, sorry, but it is going round my head a bit, the worry, and I guess you must be the same. x

threeleftfeet · 14/08/2012 00:06

woollywomble congratulations!! Thanks and welcome :)

Reckon your grin says it all tbh Grin

threeleftfeet · 14/08/2012 00:07

SnowieBear congratulations to you too! Thanks

mummabug · 14/08/2012 10:50

Hello ladies!! Can I join you? I got an unexpected BFP last week..I'm due April 13th. Tender nipples and a bit of cramping are my only symptoms so far....and my nipples are absolutely enormous :-o

Already have a DD, there will be 4.5 years between them. Not planning on telling work til I absolutely have to as I only started in July, eeeeek!

damnitdamnit · 14/08/2012 11:06

Hi all it's so hard to keep up with this thread. Thankfully DD2 in nursery today so have had time to catch up with mumsnet catch up with housework Grin.

Congrats to snowiebear, woolywonble, and dandelion

kitty hope everything goes well ill keep everything crossed for you.

I think I am 7+6 today still not telling anyone in RL as miscarriage last time really holding me back from celebrating just yet. I have booking appointment on 24th, was thinking of requesting early scan but then think I would just worry after in case something happens so think I will just wait for the usual 12 week one.

Anyway suppose I should get a move on and tidy the house!

JessieEssex · 14/08/2012 11:26

Hi all
I'm only 6+6 but am feeling absolutely rotten. Morning sickness, headaches, knackered etc. This is early days and I don't remember feeling this bad this early with DD1 - anyone else care to whinge with me?
Jessie

threeleftfeet · 14/08/2012 11:46

mummabug, congratulations! Thanks

There will be nearly 4.5 years between DS and DC2 as well.

DP and his sister are 4 years apart and are good friends so I'm hopeful it's OK as an age gap!

Actually, I see we're due the same day (well according to the mumsnet calculator anyway).

Are you me?! Wink
