Ooh What's with the funny veins and itching?

My hands and breasts have been itching for a few days now. Not really worried, it's just really irritating. Anyway, I was in the shower tonight and the itching on my hands got very intense. I looked down and I could see loads of very prominent veins on both sides of my hands but particularly on my palms and inside wrists (Breasts similar but not as bad).

This is very unusual for me as I have low blood pressure and am one of those people who ends up with 3/4 holes when having a blood test done. Up until now being pregnant hasn't made the slightest diff when trying to find a vein.

I have taken my BP and it is 120/79, usually 100/60, so a bit high for me but certainly nothing to worry about.

Anyone else encountered this? I would like to know what's going on if for no other reason than the itching is driving me mad.

How far along are you? Don't want to scare you but itching can be serious in pregnancy so I would see your GP to get your liver function checked. I had itching all the way through which I think was hormonal but I know someone who had itching which ended in tragedy. Please get checked out but am sure all ok.

Cheers, I'm 19 weeks on Sat. I've read the stuff on Cholestatis, but I really don't think it is that. The itching does come and go and ranges in intensity. I suspect it's hormonal but can't quite work out why my veins popped out so much. I am booked into the hosp next week for a routine check, so I'll bring it up just in case.
