Morning all well afternoon now!

By the time I get up and try to make myself human its now lunchtime!

As soon as I had breakkie went straight to the shower before the nausea got me. I am learning to develop strategies on getting things done.

Im off to mums for some TLC.

Gaviscon is soooooo horrible. I had it once ages ago when I had gall stones and puked it all back up in the nurses face, I told her she shouldn't make me take it.

ted- I understand your dilemma but try to stay positive and enjoy your holiday. I too couldn't lie but sometimes you need too. Good luck with what you decide.

FloweryBoots · 21/07/2012 12:29

Yep, 6 kids of her own, and a childminder, my Mum is truely bonkers. Just loves babies I think. Mind you, my Dad can't be too averse to them, it takes two and all that!

Annoyed - we did a massive supermarket shop this morning to keep us going all week, and to cater for friends coming tomorrow for a BBQ, and I forgot to get some sea bands. Urgh. And I felt sick the entire time we were there so you'd have thought that might be a suitable reminder. Stocked up on the salt and vinigar squares and all forms of frozen, fried, reconstituted potato things which is pretty much all I can face eating at present.

I've got my booking in app on Monday too ted Yay!

JoJo my DH came to booking app last time wiht our first. He wanted to, adn I was pleased to have him come. Most of the medical history will be you and your side, but they do ask about OH family history too. I liked having DH at the first app, but it isn't wildly exciting other than because it's the first one. DH would come again this time except it is only his second week in new job so didn't like to ask for the morning off. Last time he came to one or maybe two more appointments and it was nice for him to be involved. Thinking back, actually I had my booking in app and 12 week scan at the same time last time (at 12+6), but I think DH would have come to booking apt anyway.

sarahs999 · 21/07/2012 12:36

bonjour all. We're off for a week in Lanzarote tomorrow so I'lll see you all when I get back. Look after those beans and good luck to those with scans x

Vivee74 · 21/07/2012 13:47

Hello,
I think I'm now just on six weeks with my first in my later 30's so very exciting. Not really sure what to expect but appreciate comments here. Have had mild cramps for about 10 days otherwise no other symptoms. Also have booked in to see my GP but not for another 10 days. Not sure if I should try to get an earlier appointment. Am fighting a slight cold but think that due to long hours at work and the weather. Feel much better after a run this morning.

JoJoBella84 · 21/07/2012 14:14

Welcome aboard vivee, mild cramping appears to be a popular pg symptom amongst us all, something to do with the uterus stretching and the embryo bedding in :).
Feel free to release the crazy worried side on this feed. I'm a first timer too and discovering some crazy symptoms that none of the books seem to mention! You're in good company here :)

Leftwingharpie · 21/07/2012 14:59

Ted and Flowery I also have my booking appointment on Monday!

FloweryBoots · 21/07/2012 15:12

Booking in buddies!

harpie Do I remember correctly that you bought a house recently? Might have seen it on the waiting to TTC threads. Notice from the stats you're in west yorks and was just wondering if you saw an indipendant mortgage advisor, adn if you did, if they were any good, and would you recomend them. We're in West Yorkshire too and need to get going on buying a house. Been renting for ever for various reasons (mostly that we used to live in London) and need to get a house bought and moved into before this LO arrives. It's a bit daunting. Don't really know where to start. We've waited so long before buying somewhere that now we're going to it won't even be a first home you expect to stay in for 3 - 5 years, this is somewhere we expect to stay at least 10, and potentially could be our forever house, so we feel like we've got to get it right.

pipsicles · 21/07/2012 15:42

Wow! That's a lot of pressure, Flowery! I did manage to get some sea bands today - they were behind the pharmacy rather than just on the shelves and I think they're working pretty well actually! I also bought these ginger sweet things from the health food shop and the two combined are helping me feel less rough ( I confess I took them off for a while to 'check' that I still actually have nausea!!! Crazy!)

Please don't think I am being at all judgemental ted, but I just thought I would pass on something that was mentioned on the November thread before I had my mmc. Loads of ladies were thinking of 'stretching the truth' in order to get an early scan and someone made the point that if we are doing that, then we are preventing someone with a real emergency from being seen too when they need to be. It's up to you, but that really hit home with me and helped me just to get on with it. As it happened, I did need the real emergency in the end, but I felt better with myself for not 'trying it on' - like you, I am a terrible liar and was concerned about being rumbled. As I say, I won't judge anyone either way, ultimately, if you think there's something wrong, then you're unlikely to be able to be calm about it without some kind of reassurance.

It has been quite sunny here and already managed to dry two loads of washing, but it's clouded over now and I'm desperately hoping the rain isn't coming as I need to get the nappies on the line now! I hung them out the other day and no sooner had I put the last peg on, then it started raining! Stupid summer!

Leftwingharpie · 21/07/2012 15:58

Flowery we did use an independent broker and they found us what I think is a good deal, but to be honest they were awful to deal with and I wouldn't recommend them. They are constantly trying to up sell and they delayed our transaction a lot by constantly requesting the wrong information from us.

EthelredOnAGoodDay · 21/07/2012 16:02

Jojo are you in york? I am too! Grin

Sunnymeadows · 21/07/2012 17:15

Sunny here too and I've just caved in and had a dairymilk icecream healthy snack.

Anyone got their booking app the week after next? I've got mine next Monday.

Girls who have them this week coming, good luck and let us know how they go.

Ps, if you can't get hold of wotsits, cheesey balls (i can hear the snigering) Smile are very similar, big bag from asda 90p x

EthelredOnAGoodDay · 21/07/2012 18:37

Welcome Vivee!

Sunny my booking is a week on Friday (3rd august) and hopefully I will make it that far! Not been feeling as nauseous today, it seems to come in waves really.

JoJo my DH only really came to my initial appt with the doc (total anticlimax), my two scans and my 41wk appt!! However, my best friend is pg at mo, and her DH has been to pretty much every appt, so I guess it's all personal preference.

Weather is great here. Took DD to see the stage show of the gruffalo this morning, then had lunch and did a bit of shopping in Leeds, which wAs nice. Got back and cleaned car, (which was a total disgrace) and cut grass and weeded garden, so as you can gather, we have had a rock and roll kinda day Grin.

Sarah hZve a great holiday. Am very Envy.

Hope you are all having better weather and all feeling well. No cheesy wotsits, or balls here Grin, more of a quavers girl myself!

FloweryBoots · 21/07/2012 18:39

I've got two loads of washing done and dried today too. Nappies will be done tomorrow, before the bbq kicks off!

Rainbowbabyhope · 21/07/2012 18:42

JoJo My DH came with my to every possible appointment during my last pregnancy and will do again, no matter how minor the appointment i.e. even if its just dropping off a urine sample! We don't see it as just me being pregnant but as 'us' being pregnant and so we do every aspect of the process together. My DH wouldn't contemplate missing out on absolutely anything. When our DD was stillborn and we looked back at the pregnancy with her, we were glad that this is how we approached the whole process because it meant that we both got to experience every second of her short life in the world and he didn't feel like his missed out on being involved in every way that he could have been.

Lexiindisguise · 21/07/2012 21:23

Just to say I cracked today & bought Wotsits! I blame this thread entirely - was impressed, they are super yummy! Grin
Hope everyone is having a good weekend, it's been lovely & sunny here!

FloweryBoots · 21/07/2012 21:29

DH says he came to about half the appointments last time. Probably right, he remembers things better than me!

Urgh, my favourite muller yoghurt just made me heave, and just when I was thinking I was feeling better this evening.

backwardpossom · 21/07/2012 21:41

Sunny, mine is a week on Tuesday. It's DS's birthday on the Monday (30th). :)

I'm still feeling rough. I'm ok when I'm grazing on some kind of snack... feel very sick when I'm hungry. Rubbish.

Vixjane · 21/07/2012 22:06

Hello! Just found out this week that I'm pregnant due approx 25 March, not been to the dr's yet so I'll be making the appointment on Monday. This is our first baby so it's all very daunting!

mandasand · 21/07/2012 23:12

just checking in to say hi and hope everyone's had a good day (nausea and sickness permitting!) I'm still feeling grotty with slight headache and huge, boring tiredness. no cramping tonight, which is good.

trying to sell some old dresses ('aspirational' sale purchases) I know I will never now (all being well) get in to but bloody ebay is driving me crazy. first I kept pressing some key on my keyboard which reloaded the page and lost all the details I'd entered (I did that about 8 times!) then I had to link paypal account with ebay account (I thought it was linked, but never mind!) and to do this I had to change ebay password (which I'd forgotten but which my laptop automatically enters for me. so now everything should be okay, but the first dress I'd finally created a page for and which I'd 'saved for later' won't damn well come up! 'Do you want to continue editing?', it asks. 'Yes', I click. No page appears. If I wasn't so tired I'd have gotten angry by now! Instead I think I'll give up and go to bed :-(

Here's to a brighter day tomorrow! xx

mandasand · 21/07/2012 23:13

PS welcome vix! nice to have you on board!

backwardpossom · 21/07/2012 23:13

manda I've given up trying to sell stuff on ebay. Have you tried a Facebook local selling page? I sold loads of stuff on my local one recently - no listing fees/delivery charges etc. Great experience :)

JoJoBella84 · 21/07/2012 23:31

ethelred yes I'm in York. I've been there for two years as I'm studying, one more year to go!! My oh works in Aberdeen which is where I plan to give birth but I'll be spending the majority of my pregnancy in York do that I can continue to study!!
I'm spending the summer in Aberdeen so back properly in September :)

Chefette · 22/07/2012 00:47

JoJo, that's brave! I work in Aberdeen, but live in Montrose so all my mat stuff is in different area and totally different NHS region. Know a fair few folk who have gone through it at Aberdeen so if you need to know anything give me a shout. Off on holibobs tomorrow, just touring in Scotland, fingers crossed weather not manky! Will be keeping an eye on here with the old iPhone tho Grin . Still no symptoms to fret about, not a puke in sight, feel a bit guilty!

JoJoBella84 · 22/07/2012 07:47

chefette I'm very very jealous of you! No symptoms? Pffft!
I bought some wrist bands yesterday, slept in them overnight and still fighting the urge to vom!! I've tried ginger biscuits this morning and am now nibbling through a bowl of dry Cheerios! I'm greatful of the symptoms though... I must really be having a baby :D How bloody exciting!
Have a lovely holiday, I'm viewing my future house today :) 5 weeks and it should be ours :)

shieldbug · 22/07/2012 08:06

Hello all! Just had a BFP this morning and reckon I'm due about 27th March...maybe. I thought I was pg last month then had a very early, very heavy, very long period so thought that was that. Started getting vague symptoms this month, so tested when slightly late and got a rapid BFP. So...not sure what's going on yet.
Already have ds, almost 21 months. Thrilled to bits about this one as my consultant said he didn't think I would conceive again.
