horseylady · 12/07/2012 11:16

Swiss vest top and shorts the way forward!!! Or should be anyway!! Good luck.

daisychain76 · 12/07/2012 11:23

fatima you are not alone with the bump. I seriously think, if I kept growing at this rate, I would not be able to stand upright by November!

DesperateHousewife21 · 12/07/2012 11:24

I'm 21+2 I feel like I have aaaages til 24 weeks. Hopefully we'll all be moaning at 40+ weeks and getting impatient!

Ds was born at 38+5 and was absolutely fine so I wouldnt mind that again.

Catbag · 12/07/2012 11:28

Could someone link to the Facebook group? I tried to find it but failed :(

NervousAt20 · 12/07/2012 12:33

Havent been on for a few days do had quite abit to catch up on! :)

Congratulations on all the scan results and for those joining team pink and blue and well done to the ladies who didn't cave and find out Grin

Really sorry to hear your news cacaz hope you and family are okay!

Sounds like alot of people on are getting more organized with baby things, haven't brought much recently but knew the next sale was coming to wanted to save for that and trying to get some extra shifts so I can force persuade DP to get the nursary furniture I want Grin we have all the paint and stuf to do the baby's room but just trying to find time for it to be done seems impossible

I'll be 24 weeks on Sunday and counting! Feels like its been forever since my 20 weeks scan! Will the rest go this slow or just to 24 weeks?

ValiumQueen · 12/07/2012 12:40

Is anyone still waiting on a scan?

Anyone else having an ELCS?

I think DH is appreciating me a bit more today, as I can do nothing with my foot except hobble to loo and back.

He has given names some more thought too - Darragh is the best of the lot, alongside Silas. It means fertile, which is quite funny as he is a bit of an accident at 43!

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 12/07/2012 12:48

I am waiting on my third 20 week scan - a week on friday when I will be 24 weeks.

Am also considering, and increasingly leaning towards an ELCS if I dont go into labour naturally by about 39 weeks. Had an EMCS under GA with DD due to her distress and am very keen to avoid that again and am in a higher risk category for VBAC ending up as EMCS. Am apparently going to be invited to a Birth Choices clinic which my PCT runs, so am not fixed on any decision yet.

kissyfur · 12/07/2012 12:59

I'm hoping for an ELC too, as i had an emergency one before and really dont want to go through that again. not that I can actually 'elect' to have it myself as my NHS trust has vetoed any c sections at the mothers request! Angry my obstetrician wasn't happy about that! pretty sure I'll be getting one for medical reasons tho so not stressing about it at the mo. if I do get one it'll be at 39 weeks which means only 17 and a bit weeks to go! Grin

TitsalinaBumSquash · 12/07/2012 13:14

Hi everyone. Smile

I brought a cot and a travel system today, I figure getting everything while the sales are on is sensible.
My bump is getting to comedy size now as are my boobs which people feel is ok to comment on Confused
I'm battling an iron deficiency combined with stomach acid resulting in my stomach bleeding making me sick.. I've had to give in to Mars Bar milkshakes to ease the acid and baked beans for iron Blush I've only put on 8 lbs so far which isn't anywhere near what I put on with the last 2.
I should start bring scanned regularly soon, I think it's at 26 weeks it starts with 2 weekly scans.
I'm 22 weeks tomorrow, I cannot wait for November (although I'm secretly hoping for a late Oct arrival, Halloween would be awesome!) Grin

Thechick · 12/07/2012 13:39

I'm still waiting for my 20 week scan, I have it next Wednesday, woohoo!! I have a comedy size bump too tits, when people ask me how far along I am I'm always rounding up, it HUGE!!
I had a emcs with my last but I'm going to try for a vbac this time. And I haven't bought anything yet. I need to sort the baby's room before I can buy stuff like someone else said, it still feels so early....I'll be 22 weeks on Sunday. I'm very laid back about these kind of things!!

MissMummy1 · 12/07/2012 13:51

20 weeks today - scan tomorrow. Nerves have finally caught up on me. Still debating whether or not to find out. DH is dead set against it and I'm not bothered so figure letting him think he's getting have his own way on this one may work as a bargaining tool later on.

Came home yesterday to a beautifully painted cot - well half painted, he ran out half way through. He's done a cracking job and accidentally on purpose spray painted it in the bath shame my current landlord's a total tosser and I genuinely don't care , can't wait to have all the furniture shifted into our new house in the next couple of weeks, I am desperate to nest build!!!

applepieinthesky · 12/07/2012 13:57

So is the consensus that it's daft to take a 6 month old to Spain? I've seen a good deal going to Ibiza in May and I'm tempted to book it.

MissMummy1 · 12/07/2012 14:01

Apple 6 months may be our compromise. I've told DH that he's on his own for a January trip!!

horseylady · 12/07/2012 14:01

Id go!!! My plan is to go away may/June time!!!

Just need to decide where :) but seeing as I booked next weeks holiday last week .......

ditsygem · 12/07/2012 14:29

I will be taking our LO to Washington and Florida in May time so around 6 months. Its SIL's wedding over there then so its not something we can choose the timing of, but I think 6 months should be fine.

applepieinthesky · 12/07/2012 14:43

I like going on holiday in May time because it's usually warm but not ridiculously hot. I wouldn't take a baby abroad in the height of summer. My main concern is if the baby won't stop crying during the flight. But if we stick to Spain or Portugal the flight won't be any more than 2-2.5 hours.

ValiumQueen · 12/07/2012 14:56

I would go, as baby still quite portable, but not mobile, still sleeping a lot, beginning to wean, stronger, better able to cope with temp change, but as you say would not be too hot. Jealous much!

DesperateHousewife21 · 12/07/2012 17:01

I think I need to look at the stats again, I cant seem to get my head round how some people are close to 26 weeks and some peple are only just 20 weeks!

Thechick · 12/07/2012 17:05

DH My due date is 18th Nov and I'm 22 weeks on Sunday, I'm almost in the middle. I would expect the Nov list to be between 20 and 24 weeks.

DesperateHousewife21 · 12/07/2012 17:07

Yeah I suppose in my head I think we should all be about the same but theres about 5 weeks between some people.

Your 2 days ahead of me!

MissMummy1 · 12/07/2012 17:13

DH21 I'm bang on 20 weeks and due 29th Nov, so I think I must be one of the last!

Chunkychicken · 12/07/2012 17:22

I can't decide if 19th Nov is mid or late November. Kind of want to say 'mid November' when people can see my bump, so it looks like I'm further on, but equally, as I get closer, want to say 'late November' so if this little pickle decides to be late, I haven't got people clock-watching for weeks!! No reason to think s/he will be late, although since they're the cause of EVERY pg symptom going (and my DD gave me a lovely pg & right-on time birth) I figure its not beyond the realms of possibility... Grin

LittleLolly · 12/07/2012 18:14

I'm due 29th October which makes me 24+3. When I found out I was pregnant my EDD was 1st November but was changed to 29th Oct at the first scan. Didn't want to leave this group and join October! Am fairly sure DS will come in November rather than October anyway!!

ValiumQueen · 12/07/2012 18:35

There is over 4weeks in any month except Feb, plus some dates will be slightly out as it is not an exact science. I will be having an ELCS at 39 weeks, so if the later ones on the thread go overdue, my child could be 7 weeks older, and that is without preemies being considered.
