8 weeks? I've still got 13 to go!! Envy Envy Envy Work tomorrow but I've booked friday off so I've got a much needed three day weekend.

The Winnie The Pooh wall stickers for the nursery arrived today so it's pretty much finished now. Hooray!

We listened to baby earlier with the doppler and as soon as DP started talking to him he went crazy Smile It seems he can definitely hear us now.

blonderthanred · 11/07/2012 22:19

Since we are sharing ailments... I have got well fat ankles. And I'm knackered. And I'm going grey. I thought that was meant to happen after they were born??!

(of course, it may have more to do with me turning 36 tomorrow...)

TheDetective · 11/07/2012 22:51

I has the cankles too! I need to know - where to get fat people socks from. Mine are digging in so badly, its painful.

Stupid ankles. GRRR.

kissyfur · 11/07/2012 22:58

Blondthenred I'm going grey too! At an alarming rate Sad Can't pull them out anymore or I'll have no hair left!

blonderthanred · 11/07/2012 23:13

Detective I haven't worn socks for about three months! I'm usually a really chilly person but since being pregnant I'm constantly the first one taking off my coat or switching on the air con. So I cannot help with the socks...

Kissy it is no fun is it. I've had a couple at my temples before but this is the first time I've seen them in my proper hair iyswim.

SwissArmyWife · 12/07/2012 06:48

My first pregnancy was a lot easier than this, too.
For a start I didn't have SPD, only had a textbook amount of MS in fact the whole thing was textbook, is it possible to be jealous of yourself? whereas with this one it was horrendous, and the lack of energy is ridiculous!

Also got a bigger bump than last time, and my previous stretch marks are beginning to turn red again :( Sob, sob...
Not to mention the bloody crazy dreams this time!

I'm sorry to hear about everyone elses bruises and ailments, the things we go through for our children eh?! Wink

DH Definitely sounds like an iron deficiency to me. I was feeling exactly the same, so I went and got plenty of iron rich food, tried to get some iron supplements too but the pharmacy told me to talk to my doctor first as they vary in strength.
So i've just been eating a lot of iron rich foods and a lot of orange juice to help absorb the iron, and now a few days later feel a lot better. Not 100%, but can now stay up all day without a nap Grin

I've got a physio appointment today, it's my first one. Does anybody know what they actually do at the first appointment? Will they just tell me to go home and bounce on a ball?

DesperateHousewife21 · 12/07/2012 07:01

swiss I'll give that a try but will still mention it to the mw I can't spend the next 4 months like this!

ValiumQueen · 12/07/2012 07:42

About iron levels, I would try foods first, then mention to MW. Always best to have these things monitored closely.

About socks, buy mens socks. I know primark do fab ones with a comfort top, and fairly cheaply. I always go for comfort top now. Was very swollen with DD1.

Had a bad night with foot, and this morning it is very badly bruised, but swelling has gone down now. Cannot weight bear, but that is a pain response, not the leg giving way. DH is off today thank goodness. He is not happy to be doing everything, but so far the kids are being angelic.

Hope everyone has a good day. 24 weeks today, always feels like a major milestone to me. Yay!

ValiumQueen · 12/07/2012 07:46

For my first and only physio appt, I was told to strip to pants and bra, and had to get into lots of different positions. Lots of prodding and poking and tutting. Many comments about my weight. Felt so crappy, but was given a tubigrip and belt. Tube was fab, belt was shite. Hope you do not get a witch like mine. My army medical was less humiliating.

DonnaDoon · 12/07/2012 07:53

Morning everyone 24wks today here , feel like Ive reached a milestone, on one hand I think its going quick but it does seem an eternity since that BFP in Febuary.

DonnaDoon · 12/07/2012 07:58

And Socks ? My Flip flops looking gross but are my best friend lol. Seriously couldnt imagine trying to bend down to put socks on now lol.

DesperateHousewife21 · 12/07/2012 08:27

I don't think I've worn socks for about 3 months either. Pumps are my friend!

I've made a list of iron rich food that I can eat so will give them a try first.

ValiumQueen · 12/07/2012 08:27

I am impressed at how I can still cut my toenails. I am sure I could barely reach them at this stage before. Getting to 24 weeks is so reassuring as you know that they would try their best to save baby if it decided to arrive early. Obviously odds would not be good, but they would have a chance. Hoping all our precious babies stay put until at least 39 weeks!

horseylady · 12/07/2012 09:09

Swiss no they should start straight away manipulating the area etc. Obv they will assess first. Good luck!! I text mine last night to see if she was allowed to sort my shoulder before it goes into spasm fully again!!

Passmethecrisps · 12/07/2012 09:27

Good morning,

Stop press! The sun is actually shining. What a difference it makes waking up to the sunshine.

Sorry for all those with nasty back pain and SPD. My early back pain was resolved by buying a, much needed, new mattress. It is getting a bit achy now but nothing like what others are suffering.

I have properely popped now and have an undoubted bump. It seems to start right under my boobs. My back is very concave now - is that normal? I suppose that's why it's getting sore.

As yet no cankles either. I do have a very hairy face though.

I am sitting here with the cat purring on my knee and baby wiggling in response.

horseylady · 12/07/2012 09:29

I can still do my toes too!!! Good job they need a colour before my hols!!!!

24 weeks today too!!!!! In maternity trousers today!! Am so bloated I need to get this sorted!! Nice to know it's a viable birth now, but will be happier at 28 weeks and even happier at 38!!!

daisychain76 · 12/07/2012 09:43

Really pleased but also really jealous (for the reasons valium said) for those who've hit 24 weeks (I'm 23 on Saturday). Why does the bit between the 20 week scan and 24 weeks go so slowly??

Kyzordz · 12/07/2012 09:56

I'm 23 weeks on Saturday too daisychain76, it does seem to be going reeeeaaally slowly at the minute!

horseylady · 12/07/2012 10:01

I think it's flying by soooooo fast!!!! It's scary!!!

4weeks third trimester!! It's scary!!

Pass I too have a bump now!! I might photograph it again compare it to 4 weeks ago!!

Passmethecrisps · 12/07/2012 10:04

Yup Daisy I know what you mean. I was 23 weeks yesterday and I mentally ticked it off as one week closer to potential viability.

Am going to pack away gifts we have had already today. Now I have sorted out my clothes I have two whole drawers empty. I need to wash some though. Beautifully knitted but by a very heavy smoker and they are pretty stinky. They should dry nice and easily though. It's lovely having so many hand knitted cardies and hat. Properly old fashioned ones with ribbon to tie round the chin!

Still can't get myself hyped up for buying things. It still feels too early an DH is certainly not keen. Not sure when it's going to feel like the right time. I don't want to leave it too late and be too knackered to think about it.

Passmethecrisps · 12/07/2012 10:05

horsey do that! I haven't taken any photographs and I wish I had. There are photos of me on holiday at 8 weeks but I just look fat.

ValiumQueen · 12/07/2012 10:11

Gifts already! Lucky you! I have just texted my MIL with clothes suggestions. Not had a reply yet!

FatimaLovesBread · 12/07/2012 10:32

Can't believe some of you have tiny bumps. Mine's huge! It's all on the front and quite neat but a definately big baby bump. I'll measure it later Grin I haven't put weight on anywhere else though at the moment, there's still time.
My belly buttons being coming out since 17.5 weeks but it's definitely out now, makes me feel a bit squeamish!

My car seat and carrycot were delivered last night! I also ordered quite a few baby things from the Next sale. Got loads for less than £60!

Can't remember who but has someone just bought the Nipper 360 pram? Was it the double? And how much did you pay for it?

Jealous of all the 24 weekers! I'm 21weeks tomorrow but I feel really pregnant. Shattered and feel like I'm waddling Grin

SwissArmyWife · 12/07/2012 10:37

I am absolutely horrified by the thought of having to strip down to pants and bra, and if they make any comments about my weight I will not be happy - i'm in a very grumpy mood today so god help them if they're like that
Still, I hope they can sort me out, I always feel as though I need someone to walk on my back to give it a good click!

I'm 23 weeks tomorrow, can't wait to hit the 24 mark. Seems to be going pretty quickly for me which i'm happy about, November can't come fast enough if i'm honest :) Although I hate that right at the end it just drags

Catbag · 12/07/2012 10:41

The 360 Nipper person was me Fatima . It was the double and I paid £102 second-hand (Ebay), but the average used price seems to be about £150. I'm expecting twins, and they will be DC 4 and 5, so I don't really feel that I can justify buying big stuff new! As for the pushchair- I'm delighted with it! It's SO light that it could very easily be pushed with one hand. It goes through all the doors on the ground floor of my house and so I am happy that it'll get through shop doors without too much fuss. I've got footmuffs and a raincover with it too. It looks like a chariot Grin
