Nearly every shop had a sale on, shame I could only get mat clothes.
I found h&m tiny mat section but managed to get two tops and a pair of grey 3/4 jogger type trousers, v nice.
Then in Dorothy Perkins I got a giraffe t shirt in the sale for £8 and a purple top about £9.

So didn't do too badly but was annoyed that new look didn't have any mat clothes at all so going to one about 20 mins drive away that stocks a fair bit but I only need some basic vest tops now.

I got a tiny sleepsuit in the gap sale for about £4 down from 11 it's so cute!

LittleLolly · 10/07/2012 19:06

Very.co.uk have an offer code for £30 off when you spend £60. They have a good range of baby stuff including most mamas and papas ranges. You have to open a credit account and the code is 23EPW. You get the £30 credited back after you have paid. If you pay on card it's credited back to your card.

Hope everyone's ok today Grin

Brockle · 10/07/2012 19:18

DH new look had really good online maternity sale as did H&M.

detective I too am a HP fan and have the same Twilight situation: due on the 20th and comes out on the 16th. I have agreed to buy tickets on the day of the 16th for my friend and I and keeping my legs crossed until then! Hoping that RPattz's acting giggles me into labour.

Had my tubigrip belt on today for work which was quite comfy but feel all wobbly now I have taken it off.

MissMummy1 · 10/07/2012 19:27

Advice from mummies with DC needed!! DH wants to book a holiday for sometime in January. For the first time in 5 years he has regular shift patterns and can actually book things like that in advance. "Somewhere hot and foreign" is his criteria. Help!? Is he being unreasonable wanting to travel somewhere with a 2 month old? Or am I the one being unreasonable saying no?

kissyfur · 10/07/2012 19:31

No missmummies I don't think you are being unreasonable, there is no way I'd be happy to take a 2 month old somewhere hot! Can they even regulate their body temp by then? Doubt it would be much fun for you tbh! 6 months yes, 2 months no

Sophiathesnowfairy · 10/07/2012 19:41

cacacaz & dixiebell I had a low lying placenta with DS, it had moved by the time I went back or the later scan at 32 weeks. Try not to worry. You have enough to think about cacacaz. Sorry to hear your news. I think the name idea is great as well.

Have just had two days working in central London. Am shattered and my bump is sore. Those of you who do regularly, I don't know how you do, though I did do well in the seat on tube stakes.Shock

YellowWellies · 10/07/2012 20:09

Yeah MM1 it would be too much of a temperature to take a newborn from a Scottish winter to somewhere hot. They can't thermoregulate so it might not be that safe. Babies born into hot climates is one thing but moving newborns around another. Also you might still be getting into a routine so might not really fancy it yourself. I know we have already made it clear to family that we're making no promises about travelling south for Christmas - as much as we'd like to just because we're not sure how we'll be doing. Your DH sounds a bit like my sisters' in that he is going to have a bit of a shock about how much life is going to change. My DH seems to be stuck in 'terrified' mode and is stressing about what we need to buy, how much he wants to have saved and, his new stress, if the island is going to be snow bound when I go into labour and whether I'd be able to get to the hospital, or to Aberdeen in the air ambulance if needs be. I think I might be tempted to swap my stress head for one of the blissfully in for a shock fellas!

MissMummy1 · 10/07/2012 20:15

YW he is so naive it's hilarious! There's no way I'm going abroad in January, for all the reasons everyone's listed (that have already been ranted at him) so he may well be off on his own little dive jolly. He's adamant we're flying over to N'Ireland for Christmas too to be with his family - ehhmm no!! Not only are his parents practically family, it'll be my mum's first christmas with her first grandchild in their new home AND I am not flying (or driving/sailing/driving) with a (potentially) 2 week old baby!!

MissMummy1 · 10/07/2012 20:16

Sorry, they're practically strangers - not family!

horseylady · 10/07/2012 20:17

Yw my dh is the same!!! Worrying about everything, I have a list for the mw tomorrow a lot which are his questions!!

Had a shit day actually cried at work (when leaving and only in front of my friend!!) took me forever to get home as yet more floods and accidents!!! Called dh and he rushed home (even though I said I was fine and just hormonal!) but gave me a hug lol then went out!!! He's home now we both just want a holiday!!

Mw tomorrow hoping shell give some advice with the nosebleeds and the constipation!!!

horseylady · 10/07/2012 20:21

Miss mummy sounds entirely reasonably to me how you feel!!! I refused to go to Austria with my in laws primarily because I know I'll spend practically all break alone looking after my baby and the sil while her and her dad go off walking and dh and her dh go off skiing!! I love skiing!!! But also know a two month old baby is better at home!! Dh thankfully agreed!! But told me about the invite even though hed said no!!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 10/07/2012 20:23

mm1 is hard work to take a newborn away. You are still up in the night, there's loads of paraphernalia and it just ends up being stressful. We took DS to NI when he was three months and we drove because of all the stuff and it was still really hard and I just felt haggered all the time. The Christmas question will probably come up here too but luckily we don't normally organise ourselves till last minute so I don't have to deal with it yet.
Xx

DesperateHousewife21 · 10/07/2012 21:12

Does anyone else feel ridiculously tired ALL DAY? From the moment I wake up it steadily gets worse, I feel I could easily have a nap at 10am and by the evening I've got a headache because I'm forcing myself to stay awake.

I don't know if it's because I'm looking after a 2 year old all day as well or what but can't cope with it much longer. I've got no energy for housework and I'm snappy at ds :(

Got my mw app in just under 2 weeks if it hasnt got better by then I'll mention it.
Even the consultant on mon commented on it and I just blamed it on travelling back from Spain (which is what I thought it was but it's b

DesperateHousewife21 · 10/07/2012 21:12

Bugger

It's not going away)

Bluetinkerbell · 10/07/2012 21:17

DH met two pregnant ladies today whilst at work who both said the same, they're also due round some time as me... ( was it one of you? Wink)
One of them said it is because of looking after a 3,5 year old, same here!
DD1 is draining all the energy out of me... housework just doesn't happen.

Chunkychicken · 10/07/2012 21:24

I'm getting a bit paranoid that maybe my post didn't work earlier but the highlight; baby is all fine, measurements in range, still team yellow & I too have a low lying placenta with a further scan required. So thank you Sophia for the reassurance & hey cacacaz & Dixie [grins]

horseylady · 10/07/2012 21:24

Dh21 a bit but I'm not looking after a 2year old just incompetent doctors but I've got many things to ask my midwife tomorrow!! Babies moved which I thought he had but tried to listen to the heartbeat and all I could hear was swimming round!! Heartbeat eventually located!!

Chunkychicken · 10/07/2012 21:25

P.s. Would update the stats list but still no landline so no broadband/WiFi/computer, so on phone only...

TheDetective · 10/07/2012 21:27

DH I just came to post similar. I'm tired all the time, which isn't a new thing on me, but I'm feeling it even more now. And I have naps :)

Today I have really felt pregnant. Much the same as at the weekend, I tried to go shopping for the remaining things I needed which I didn't get last time! I had to drag myself around the shops, walking at snail pace. I felt as if I wasn't quite there! Ended up going home very quickly, although I did manage to get DP's birthday present, and a bargain maternity dress before giving in!

Speaking of the bargain maternity dress, I was just browsing in the Next clearance store, and they don't even have a maternity section. Saw a dress hanging, and liked the colour, pulled it off the rack and noticed it was a wrap dress, which I like as it does good things for the boobs! Then noticed it was my size. And maternity! And it was £7!!! Should have been £35 Grin

Oh, and ladies, a tip: If you like Next, and want a bargain! It is the sale this Saturday. If you go to the shop now, and look at the price tag, on the back will have a figure pencilled in if it's going in the sale. I bought everything for the baby I wanted out of this seasons stock 2 weeks or so ago, and am planning on buying as much of it again in the sale, and then returning the full priced stuff a few days after sale. It means I can still get some bargains, but still have everything I want!

I do love Next baby clothes....

YW I must be like your DP! I am stressing over the same things!!

Got a vibrating baby bouncer on eBay last night, for £2. My bestest bargain so far! No one has passed on a single baby thing to us, so looks like we will have to buy it all. Only need to pay off the balance of the pram, the cot bed mattress, and the swinging chair now. Oh, and some sheets for the moses basket (well, pillow cases!). And the wardrobe. Not too bad I guess!

TheDetective · 10/07/2012 21:29

Lovely stuff Chunky! I love it... lazy placenta... Grin

capedcrusader25 · 10/07/2012 21:33

I'm stupidly tired as well. Although I have no other children to take care of. Got home from work and slept from 6.30-7pm and 7.30-8pm! Going bed at 10 as well. Apparently someone (can't remember who, sorry) said there's a bit of a growth spurt around now so that's probably why. Blah! X

applepieinthesky · 10/07/2012 21:35

Glad your scan went well chunky

I'm really tired all the time and I haven't got any kids to run around after. But I think it's because my bump is getting heavier and I'm finding it hard to sleep at nights.

FatimaLovesBread · 10/07/2012 21:39

God i'm also ridiculously tired too! Yesterday I struggled to stay awake at work and when DH pick me up I nearly fell asleep in the 5 min drive to the supermarket. Shattered today but not as bad as yesterday.
I haven't got the excuse of other DCs though. Although I did go on a hen do this weekend, I only did one of the two night stay and left the pun early at 11:30 with bump ache but by Saturday night I was asleep before 10.

Twilight release is one week before my due date. I'm definately going to the midnight viewing! Last year my sis and I did the twiathlon where you watch all the films in a row at the cinema. Don't think I'll manage that this year though!

Can't wait til 6pm tomorrow for my Next Sale VIP slot. I'll be orderin plenty of baby clothes.

I ordered my car seat and the carrycot for the pushchair on Sunday, should be delivered tomorrow. Got a really good deal on the Maxi Cosi Cabriofix, cheapest I've seen it. Going to wait and see if the base comes up on a deal at some point then thats the last of the big things.
What else do I need? Worried I'll forget something vital!

Talking of holidays... When would you go on a holiday with a baby? How long would you leave it? Just thinking of holidays for next year

horseylady · 10/07/2012 21:40

Chunky good news!! No idea about placentas sorry!!

Detective thanks for that!! Wondering when the next sale was!!! Just in time for my holiday :) though happy as my shorts still fit!!! Just need larger bikini for my boobs!!!

kissyfur · 10/07/2012 21:50

Great news chunky! Smile

With you all on the feeling tired all the time, sometimes feel like I'm going to fall asleep when I drive to pick up DD from my mums after work. No chance of naps with this pg, not with my little 2 year old bundle of energy running around! Smile
