Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
WhosPickleisThatOnion · 09/07/2012 20:24

Yes I was like that on my first pregnancy, Ive got really sore bobelage, massive tummy and a constant mild sicky feeling now.

There is nothing like getting that reassurance from the scan though!

woody17 · 09/07/2012 22:21

Strangelycalm really glad the scan went well. It must be so exciting seeing everything in so much detail!

Orangewellies ? it?s just be and my DH that know so far. I know that every time we see close friends and family we have been tempted to tell them. And everytime I talk to my mum on the phone, I want to tell her. Think we might tell a few people after the scan on Friday.

Zanywany ? yes, it does seem that it's quite common. I never knew about it before I fell pregnant but GP/EPU don?t seem concerned about it at all.

I am really nervous about my early one on Friday. I?m still having some brown discharge when I wipe. I did another digital test tonight and it said I?m 3 weeks+ so I hope that means things are still all ok? The waiting is horrible.

somethingwittynot · 10/07/2012 14:15

i had my scan today! puts me at 6 weeks and 5 days

dam it! baby splodge

woody17 · 10/07/2012 16:32

Congratulations somethingwittynot could you see the heartbeat yet?

StrangelyCalm · 10/07/2012 16:44

That's great somethingwittynot - amazing to see an actual picture, isn't it?

somethingwittynot · 10/07/2012 18:53

yeah we saw the heartbeat flickering away :)

AuroraOrtiz · 10/07/2012 20:50

Somethingwitty ? my neighbour lives at number 26 and he is a noisy idiot loon. Great news about your scan!

I had my booking in apt with the MW on Monday. Had my blood taken and it was fine ? maybe being pregnant does do something to your blood to make it easier! The rest involved going through a list of questions ? all quite straightforward. My scan isn?t until 13th August ? ages away! Will be 13 weeks then. Bit scared that it?s so far away and I don?t feel like I have any symptoms really ? but really good to hear that you are okay Strangely.

I am going to portugal on holiday tomorrow. Bit nervous in case something happens while I'm out there. Hope everyone stays okay while I'm away. xx

StrangelyCalm · 10/07/2012 23:44

Thanks Aurora, have a great holiday - relax and don't worry!

StrangelyCalm · 11/07/2012 11:01

Bump growing, trousers all too tight. Fabulous impulse buy from good ole Sainsburys - stretchy black trousers - the most comfy things I've ever worn aaahhh. Actually look quite smart and not like leggings or tracky bottoms (can wear for work), no fastenings, just elasticated - brilliant. Best £22 ever spent!

orangewellies · 11/07/2012 17:56

ooh they sound good strangely - had to undo my trouser button at work today cos it was hurting when i sat down - hope i can survive in normal clothes until after my scan, but got 3 weeks to go and things are getting tight! Have come home and put my tracky bottoms on, what a relief!

My nausea seems to be really fluctuating at the moment - sometimes its not bad at all and then it comes back, seems to be worse at night for some reason. Also been peeing for England today!!

Couldn't see your pic something but pleased for you that you got to see your little bean Smile

Pinkie29 · 11/07/2012 20:09

strangely are they maternity trousers? I've been looking for a pair for work as I seem to be getting tighter round the middle but looser round the bottom Confused we're going out of town sat to look in some of the larger stores

Imogencodpiece · 11/07/2012 23:09

Hi guys, first post ever here on mumsnet and happy to see there are loads of us due in Feb 2013! :D I am very excited but also scared as this is my first, only told my mum and my DP so far so its nice to be able to talk about 'peanut' with others :D.
Weeing like nobody's business and hot then cold all the time but luckily no morning sickness as yet LOL!
is there a way for me to be prompted about reply's on this thread?

WhatWillSantaBring · 12/07/2012 13:28

Welcome imogen and congratulations. I was terrified with my first too - absolutely petrified. Luckily all the fear disappeared when I met her and its definitely worth it. (Otherwise I wouldn't be here again)

Glad to hear that the scan went well, strangely - and relieved as I have no symptoms at all. Actually, I did have some (sickness) but its gone totally (7+3) so I am a little concerned. Booking in appointment tomorrow thought so I'll mention my concerns then.

Its quiet around here - I am a bit disappointed that someone set up a fb group as I can't access fb 95% of the time, so please stop poaching people Grin otherwise I'll be forced to defect to the March group Wink

queenrollo · 12/07/2012 14:08

welcome Imogen. Now you've posted if you look across the top of the page there is a 'Threads I'm On' tab. If you click that this thread will be in there. When there are new posts it will bump to the top if you have several threads in there. If you can get your head round the profile stuff and customising you can set the OP's posts to show in one colour and yours to show up in another, which makes it a little easier to scan threads when they get quite busy.

I'm feeling much better today than I have for ages. In fact I feel so much better I've just made the dough for a loaf, it's on it's first proving now! and have done three loads of laundry. Thankfully today it is sunny enough to be line drying.
I have my dating/12 week scan on the 8th of August Smile

StrangelyCalm · 12/07/2012 16:50

Pinky - they're not maternity trousers, but sort of should be as they have a bit of a panel at the front. I am considering getting another pair as they are just so comfy - the only trouble is they're not very good at hiding the bump! That's my main problem at the moment - trying to hide the fact I'm pg (10+3). 12 week scan a week on Monday and then we can finally tell people. I work with the public all day and (I may be paranoid) I'm sure it's so obvious!

Welcome Imogen - this is my first one too (and "unexpected" to say the least!). Have a good roam around MN as there is some great advice and tips. The most surprising thing for me has been how very different pregnancy is for everyone! It is great to be able to chat to people in the same situation when you can't speak to anyone else yet.

whatwillSantaBring - I didn't have many symptoms to start off with, just a bit queezy and tired, but all my symptoms went at about that time (7 - 8 weeks) and I was terrified something awful had happened, but try not to worry as everything was just fine.

I'm still unsure about joining the fb group until I've at least told my Mum I'm pg - just in case! So in a couple weeks....

Huge confession: McD's for lunch. I know it's bad. But it was goooood. Oops.

woody17 · 12/07/2012 19:09

Hi everyone

I hope that you are all doing well. Still got lots of symptoms - have nausea almost 24/7 but haven't been sick yet! Not stopping me eating though - I don't seem to be able to stop.

I have my scan at the EPU tomorrow morning. Really hope everything is ok...

Pinkie29 · 12/07/2012 19:18

woody I'm the same the only time I don't feel sick is when I've just eaten and sadly I've no appetite donuts rare! Good luck for the early scan tomorrow x

woody17 · 12/07/2012 19:55

Thanks pinkie29 - I am just worried due to the brown discharge I've had. Hopefully everything is ok. At least I'll know.

FidgetPie · 12/07/2012 23:12

Good luck tomorrow woody
Welcome Imogen!

I got my appointments through today - midwife booking in is on Fri 27 July and scan is on Tues 21 August- so I will be 12.5 weeks (I was hoping for one the week before as I'm not very patient - but never mind!)

somethingwittynot · 13/07/2012 09:28

i was shit scared with my first i had plenty of the hormonal sobbing i cant do this moments but trust me they will pass! luckily for me DS is a very good baby and always has been. hardly cries eats what and when hes supposed to has been sleeping through from 5 weeks. weve been teething 15 weeks here and hes still as good as gold and as gummy as he was born Grin

i have had a pretty symptomless pregnancy but ive seen my bean and little heartbeat to so its all good in the baby house. a little bit of nausea but mainly hunger tierdness weeing alot sore boobs thats about it. no sickness yet but then HG set in with DS at 8 weeks so it could still come im 7+1 today.

CackleALot · 13/07/2012 13:12

Hi, popping in again, first post a few days ago but not sure if people seen my post - threads can move so quickly!

Somethingwittynot i'm 7+1 today too! Had early scan yesterday and seen tiny heartbeat which is very reassuring!

Lots of nausea here too, lasting all day. Tired too, feel like i could sleep every hour of the day - can't remember feeling this bad with DS and i was working full time then too!

JoJoBella84 · 13/07/2012 13:32

Hello, I'm not sure if I'm late Feb or early March but I'm expecting my first baby after 10 years of unexplained infertility - such a wonderful surprise!
I'm not suffering too badly with the morning sickness - i seem more travel sick or feel sick when I'm hungry (which to be honest is all the time, I just can't satisfy my hunger)!! I have my first meeting with the MW on 24th July, no scan date yet though.

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 13/07/2012 13:48

Wow jojo you must be over the moon!

FidgetPie · 13/07/2012 15:29

Welcome cackle and jojo!

Jojo that is amazing - we TTC for about 18 months each time. You must be so shocked!

There is another thread with all our stats are - I'll try and find it and add the link
