Oh yeah forgot to say, during a meal out the woman I was sitting next to told me her daughter had chicken pox...should I be worried about this? I've already had chicken pox myself when I was a kid, so I'm hoping that I should be okay anyway, and I guess (hope) the woman wasn't contagious herself. Just got that OTT-panicky-pregnant-lady head on at the mo.

I don't know why I'm still up this late, I'm so tired, but can't sleep.

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 25/06/2012 23:34

Doesn't look good, just passed a couple of small clots Sad

FidgetPie · 26/06/2012 03:26

Cheese - just to say I'm thinking of you and hope all is ok. (Is it worth going to the early pregnancy unit at your local hospital - at ours it is attached to A&E I think. They should be able to do a scan so they can figure out what is happening)

SBC - yes I have had some (uhem) 'leaking' and have been wearing a panty liner just in case - but I figured this was also due to having a cold and keeping on blowing my nose (my bladder had similar difficulties with extreme coughing/sneezing etc when I was pregnant with DD1- joy!).

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 26/06/2012 06:22

Can you have clotting and still be ok? I went to the gp Yesterday who seemed to think it was ok around 5pm based on feeling and listening to tummy, my blood pressure and heart rate. Bleeding got heavier in the evening though. Will phone gp again at eight when they open. Putting it bluntly I'm shitting myself. Angry with myself for buying some maternity clothes last week in the sale. And angry that I couldn't keep it in and told a friend, haven't even told my parents yet. Had made so many plans around this pregnancy.

Hope all of you dose doing well and finding ways to cope with the sickness etc. good luck to those with mw appointments this week xx

Mollusk · 26/06/2012 06:35

Oh dear - your GP sounds a bit dismissive! Maybe try a&e if he/she continues to be useless. Is there pain?

These early stages are so nerve-racking - I'm so sorry to hear you're going through this.

Leftwingharpie · 26/06/2012 06:39

Good lord cheese that sounds really worrying, I'm sorry I don't have any knowledge. I really hope everything is ok. Keep us posted.

Leftwingharpie · 26/06/2012 06:40

In the Conception forum there is a lot of knowledge, it may be worth posting there.

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 26/06/2012 06:51

Have to go through gp to get in to epu. Haven't had booking in yet which I think makes it bit complicated. Lying in bed cuddling my ds.

Lafcadio · 26/06/2012 07:05

Sorry I have no advice to offer, but just wanted to say I'm thinking of you Cheese, hope everything goes ok. These early weeks are so anxious aren't they.

Enjoy your DS cuddles. How old is he?

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 26/06/2012 07:12

A very cheeky 2. He slept through Last night too.

Leftwingharpie · 26/06/2012 07:28

He'll have plenty of energy today then to take your mind off things a bit.

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 26/06/2012 07:55

Cheese, am thinking about you. I have read about bleeding in pregnancy, do you still have your other symptoms? If so, it could be all manner of things. If I were in your position I'd get down a&e and they'll get you scanned.

morecoffeemorecoffee · 26/06/2012 07:57

cheese just wanted to say I'm thinking of you and I hope everythings turns out ok. Xx

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 26/06/2012 07:58

Sorry to hear that cheese, how horrible you must be worried.

Hope you get in for a scan today hope it's all fine.

WhiteAnkleSocks · 26/06/2012 08:32

Hello everyone, can I join in? Was on one of the other due in Feb threads but it seems as though this one is the one to be on.

Cheese in my last pg I bled quite a lot before I had my booking in, but on the advice of a friend just turned up at our hospital's EPU and they scanned me, and booked another scan for the following week to check up on me etc. Could you try doing that? My friend was a doctor in a different part of the hospital but I'm pretty sure that even if you didn't know anyone, they wouldn't turn away a pregnant woman experiencing bleeding. I really hope everything is ok.

queenrollo · 26/06/2012 08:42

cheese alternatively you can just phone your hospital main number and ask to be put through to the midwivs office. You can then ask directly for advice from a midwife rather than negotiating your way in through the GP.
This is what my m/w told me to do and I don't get booked onto their system for another 4 weeks yet.
I hope you are ok my lovely. Can someone have your little one so can you rest for a few hours today?

My shoulder is hurting a lot. Going to have to see the GP to discuss my options for pain relief. I need an anti-inflammatory.

freerangelady · 26/06/2012 08:46

Cheese, crossing fingers for you today. Hope you managed to get in and see the GP first thing and that they are a bit more helpful.

SammyB30 · 26/06/2012 09:04

Hi! I'm new to mumsnet and due in feb 2013 so thought I'd join you girls and say hi!

somethingwittynot · 26/06/2012 10:04

so had some pains last night and had an emergancy scan. im not as far as i thought i was as there was no sac visable yet just the thickened lining of the womb. my pregnancy test is still positive and my womb lining is thick so thats both good signs. have another scan today.

EricNorthmansFangBanger · 26/06/2012 10:23

cheese, I'm sorry to hear that. Got my finger's crossed for you and hoping you can get a scan today.

Sammy Welcome :)

zanywany · 26/06/2012 11:53

Hope you have managed to get in to see doctor or midwife for a scan. Thinking of you

zanywany · 26/06/2012 11:59

The above was for Cheese

TheSkiingGardener · 26/06/2012 13:05

Hope you are getting some good new today Cheese

Starting to get really tired now, I just fell asleep while trying to get DS to sleep. I'm starting to feel very guilty about just not having the energy to do stuff. DH keeps telling me to rest but that comes with guilt attached.

SundaySunshine · 26/06/2012 13:21

cheese didn't see your message last night before I signed off, sorry. I hope everything is ok.

Want2bSupermum · 26/06/2012 14:28

cheese Hope everything is ok and you have been seen by a dr.
