i had a crash section with DS very traumatic am going for VBAC if im allowed

morecoffeemorecoffee · 24/06/2012 11:29

eric I think it is getting more common for people to have a vaginal birth after 2 csections, although still pretty rare. You would need to research it ready to discuss with your midwife as well as consider the factors that led to your previous sections. I've had 2 csections like you 1st was emergency, 2nd was elective. I'm having a csection this time as I produce big babies that won't fit through the standard exit!

somethingwittynot · 24/06/2012 11:35

oh i also have very minimal nausea

NicJayne · 24/06/2012 11:50

Cheese well I was asking the same question! My bleed (tmi coming up!) was a stain the size of about half of your palm, then a little more onto the tissue I had wrapped round my Knicks! Obvs wasn't carrying any pads or anything. Then a tiny bit of spotting, but more like a little coloured CM. the doc said was it like 2 pads worth, I said less, and he thought that was fine. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about. I have an early scan on Friday, just to be sure.

Pinkie think I must have moved up a size too now - my boobs kill when I take my bra off - spot of shopping to be done I think! Thanks for the recommendation - my local M&S is tiny so won't be much choice there.

EricNorthmansFangBanger · 24/06/2012 12:10

Thank you very much morecoffee I had almost 3 years in between last time and they wanted me to very much have a VBAC with DD2 but I went for a planned because I kept reading so much about what could go wrong and I was adamant that I didn't want to be induced etc. I think I just ended up scaring myself witless and also took DH's views into consideration too.

Definitely going to research and be prepared for a good discussion with my midwife this time. Going to ring up the doctors tomorrow I think, though will only be 5 weeks on Tuesday.

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 24/06/2012 12:23

Welcome Eric - absolutely love that name - don't change it, made me laugh out loud then think dreamily of Eric Northman....... Hmm Wink

Have been a bit crampy for past few days really low down, must be uterus stretching again, can't wait for it to move upwards so I can rub my belly with something there rather than bloat, pretending to be blueberry!

Pinkie29 · 24/06/2012 12:40

Mmm Eric Wink and bill Wink and Jason...

Pinkie29 · 24/06/2012 12:40

Christ how can I forget Sooki (she is mine!) and Sam!!

haloflo · 24/06/2012 12:57

Mmmm Eric Northman... what was I gonna say again??

I only feel sick and tired when I stop but am struggling to nap when DD does as I can't switch off. Only when she has been asleep a couple of hours and needs waking or will be waking herself anyway do I feel ready to drop off!

Sorry to those with bleeds. I had spotting with DD at 7 weeks and was fine. I got an early scan within a few days of going to the doctors which was brilliant to calm my nerves.

DD has a cold ATM and is possibility teething too. The panic of coping with two is rising...

haloflo · 24/06/2012 12:59

Also my boobs feel smaller but I'm not sure this is due to breastfeeding and milk supply? Anyone else pg and bfing or been pg and bfing before? Sadly I didn't get bigger boobs during my last pregnancy either but went up a couple of back sizes. Only when my milk came in did I have to get the big cup sizes out.

QueenOfTheDrama · 24/06/2012 12:59

Welcome flipflop & eric Smile

cheese sorry to hear you're worried and agree with others to call a mw for advice but I've heard too that small bleeds are quite normal early on.

I've vomited 3 times today so far, tried eating some toast but I'm feeling like that will be heading back up shortly. Feel AWFUL, exhausted, emotional and sick! How on earth am I going to hide this at work for another 6 weeks?!

Pinkie29 · 24/06/2012 14:13

queen I've had to tell my bosses but will just tell other staff I've got a tummy bug

AuroraOrtiz · 24/06/2012 14:15

Oh queen it sounds like you're having a really hard time poor you. Luckily I don't feel sick at all, although that has been worrying me ad it seems more normal to feel sick! Although I have very bad hayfever at the moment so maybe that is masking it. pinkie I have been having cramps like period pain, and also occasional sharp pains.

somethingwittynot · 24/06/2012 14:31

im exhausted!

sazzababs · 24/06/2012 14:49

I feel your pain Queen: I'm up during the night, nausea and being sick a few times during the day. Exhausted and just want to cover my head with my duvet lol! Think I'll need to say to my bosses this week as I'll need to get my shifts changed slightly... Only problem is, nothing at the office stays confidential, so will be going armed with something (hopefully!) from my Doc and will also be joining my Union :)

somethingwittynot · 24/06/2012 15:16

got to go and get a blood test at the out of hours gp. turn out one of my nieces i was with yesterday has slapped cheek disease

Pinkie29 · 24/06/2012 15:50

Got myself some sea bands! £7 two in a box at the Asda pharmacy, not sure if they're working of coincidence but feel a lot less sick since putting them on and hungry, can safely say I much prefer the starving feeling to the sick!

EricNorthmansFangBanger · 24/06/2012 16:48

Random question - I got myself some more hpt this afternoon, because I'm a pain in the ass at waiting for things. Anyway, I bought a hpt which has a pink line (not fr) and then a clear blue digital. I had a positive pregnancy test this morning with a sainsburys own hpt. Light blue line but appeared within two minutes. The pink line hpt I took this afternoon and the same again, a faint pink line within 2 minutes. Me being me then later took the clear blue digital, which said not pregnant. I am assuming that because I've tried to test so many times today that obviously there isn't quite enough HCG in my pee yet to allow me to test at any point in the day. I will only be 5 weeks on Tuesday so I think I'm just unnecessarily stressing myself out?

Someone please slap some sense into me.

somethingwittynot · 24/06/2012 17:31

i took a first response day before i was due and BFP done a digi at 5+3 and got pregnant 2-3 wich means 4-5 and that was around 5.30 pm

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 24/06/2012 17:52

Eric the clear blue digis are not as sensitive. Did you say you were before 5 weeks? You should use first morning wee on those until your past your period. I'd say getting three positive tests is pretty conclusive but can see that would drive you mad, if you have another use fmu on it.

Everyone is a bit different so might have slightly more hormone early on.

I freaked myself getting a negative first response but I'd pissed about a hundred times in an hour.

Look at peeonastick.com too for lots of info.

plonko · 24/06/2012 17:52

Wow, two days at work actually working and not nipping off to browse advice on MN and this thread's 3 pages longer! Extra hair, you say?

Slightly these last two days I've really understood what that metallic taste means. I'm also getting those little cramps very low down. I'm paying attention to every slight twinge and niggle right now, glad to know it's normal.
Speaking of eating, have realised that unless I stuff my face with donuts graze constantly I will feel dizzy. Have completely gone off cereal. Partner has been shipped off to watch the England match with a friend, he'll be thrilled to know I started bursting out of my bra today.

Cos of the manual handling at work I've now told my manager, and HR will find out later in the week. I have a GP appointment before then, so hopefully I can get some advice about the heavy lifting/being on my feet all day. Have been encouraged so far to be selfish and milk it for all its worth! Due to telling work earlier than I'd like we've also told both our families. Lovely reactions!

With regards to imitation beer/cider - I sell lots and lots of beck's blue to pregnant ladies long suffering husbands. I hear it's the closest taste to genuine beer, but after staring at it for a year I think I'll be sticking to posh ginger ale.

Queen and Sazza I hope you feel better soon :(

Pinkie29 · 24/06/2012 18:25

eric I'd defo only use fmu that's probably why it said not pregnant, think having 3 others and different brands say positive can only be a good thing

haloflo · 24/06/2012 18:30

eric I second what pinkie said and urge you to stop testing, it's the way to madness and bankruptcy.

Re alcohol becks blue tastes the same as becks and kopparberg alcohol free is a really nice drink although nothing like the real thing. I'm not against having the odd drink in pregnancy though. My friends were on shots Friday night

sazzababs · 24/06/2012 19:29

Thanks Plonko :) I'm in same situation with work, so I think I'm going to speak to my immediate Manager on the condition of total confidentiality... I have a feeling that'll last for about, hmmmm 5 mins?!

Kopparberg alco-free is quite nice but really sweet! I have a wedding in 2 weeks so will need to get my deceptive head on again XD

Ello to the Noobs! Step away from the HPTs!! :)

BackPackBackPack · 24/06/2012 19:46

Is anyone else so tired constantly but can't sleep? For the past few nights I have been so tired I have gone to bed when DD went to bed at 8pm but by 1am I awake again until 7am then sleep until 8-9am.

Tonight I'm so exhausted I'm ready for my bed now but trying to hold off for a bit.

I still can't stop vomiting at the moment. I saw my MW today for a booking in and she was going to get a scan done but as I kept vomiting all of the time and couldn't keep the fluid down they couldn't see properly so I'm needing an internal scan in a few days.

The MW is not too concerned about my vomiting at the moment, shes going to get my GP to keep an eye on me and if I'm still the same in a few days I will be admitted to hospital.

Hi and welcome to all the new people :)
