I think it would be so cool to be able to watch your house being built.

Hi guys,

Kayz- you are fab mum, extra good for telling him whats what at the right moment. Dont be too hard on yourself. Is DH back? Grin

Ses- A is a month old already!! wow! And happy bday to Ses' DH!
I am ok thanks, tiredness broadly went away whilst on holiday so I think it was work related Blush I had however tried to by iron tabs at pharmacy (will remain nameless but you know it well Grin ) and the lady pharmacist wouldnt sell them to me as she said I needed to know what I needed more specifically ie amount, type etc. Not sure if that was necessary- last time my DH just went in and bought some - shame I couldnt remember the type.!

BB - sorry you still feel a bit Envy I found it went on longer this time with waves of it right up to 20wks - none bad and no vomiting but definately didnt go away as quick as it did with DD. Gone by 14 wks totally then.
How have work been about it all? I cant remember seeing an update?

Tink- house sounds good

My SPD is really playing up- have this thread HERE

Hi everyone else lurking...

Gingerbreadlatte · 10/07/2012 08:31

to buy*

BBisHavingAnotherBBaby · 10/07/2012 10:46

Ginger how annoying re iron hospital are already getting funny about mine already, and apparently my bloods are showing signs of GD already so have hosp monday Sad but in answer to your question, work
Are being quite nice, although im still counting down the days Grin

SESthebrave · 10/07/2012 11:09

Oops! I'm sorry about that Ginger!
It would be very rare that I'd refuse a sale of iron tablets like that - probably only if the customer had spoken of taking a particularly high dose and wouldn't budge or if they really didn't seem to know what they were doing.
As for your SPD, really don't worry about being lame. I only had it mildly and it was rubbish.

Back driving and out and about for me this morning! First stop Boots - how sad is that! Only boring stuff though - nappies, toiletries. I did get DD a couple of outfits in the sale though and with my discount were both bargains - a cute stripy pink jersey dress I paid less than £5 for and a cute patterned romper I paid less than £3 for!

Now pausing at Costa for us both to have refreshment Grin before heading to Tesco!

Hello Kayz and BB and anyone else about

tinkcantwaittomove · 10/07/2012 14:17

tinkcantwaittomove · 10/07/2012 14:24
Grin Kay thanks will pop along to site every 2 weeks to take pics of house progress Ginger sorry for bad spd Sad Ses yah for getting put Wink Good day here
Gingerbreadlatte · 10/07/2012 17:02

Hello

Sorry to hear about the GD BB. do you have to attend the diabetic antenatal clinic?

Tink- house sounds great esp re photos!

Ses- :) no need for apology! It was fine in end anyway. It would help if I'd been a bit more specific I think! Probably not helped by my cashing in my metformin script at the same time. She was flumoxed by that and the maternity exemption card!

How is new found freedom?

BBisHavingAnotherBBaby · 10/07/2012 17:16

Ses that sounds a nice day!

Ginger yes have to attend clinic wont know until Monday though how regularly. STILL haven't met my midwife!! Its ludicrous really but seems like you barely see them, with DS i heard his HB at 12 weeks! Sorry for SPD i had it quite mildly with DS and am really hoping its no worse this time.

This weather is getting boring now Angry

McKayz · 12/07/2012 08:59

The HV is due any minute now. I'm quite worried that dd isn't putting weight on. Fingers crossed.

OP posts:
McKayz · 12/07/2012 09:55

Wooo!! She's now 10lb 5oz. So she has put on 1lb 5oz in 2 weeks. HV is very happy with her and me. There's still a touch of jaundice but HV said that's normal with BF babies sometimes. I think I need to realise now that it's not all going to go wrong like it did with DS2.

OP posts:
SESthebrave · 12/07/2012 10:19

Woohoo Kayz! That's fantastic!!! Well done to you and R :)

Gingerbreadlatte · 12/07/2012 11:21

Great news on the weight gain Kayz!!

BBisHavingAnotherBBaby · 12/07/2012 15:17

Not often one gets to say well done for gaining weight haha but well done DD!

I have just got money off our insurance renewal after staff member was rude to me, i responded in a way that would make the feminists proud to some very sexist statements hehe Grin

SESthebrave · 13/07/2012 09:27

AIBU to feel a bit pleased with myself?
I know this will be the norm for many (Kayz, you spring to mind!) but DH told me at 7pm last night he was stuck in London and wouldn't be home for DS's bedtime and he was then leaving for work again at 5.30am this morning so I'd need to do nursery run this morning on my own for the first time.
Well DS was asleep by 8pm last night, DD had her best ever sleep last night (10.50pm-3.30am; feed & settle; 4.30am-5.30am and all the sleeping was in her crib) and then the three of us were out of the house at 7.50am to get DS to nursery! All done remarkably stress free with hardly any whining! I'm sure it won't always be that straight forward!

Gingerbreadlatte · 13/07/2012 12:47

thats brilliant Ses- you are doing brilliantly with 2 DCs Grin

McKayz · 13/07/2012 12:52

Yay Ses!!! You did very well, I don't know if I could do all that in such short notice. How do you get DD to sleep in her crib? DD won't sleep in her moses basket and I don't sleep well with her in bed.

BBisHavingAnotherBBaby · 14/07/2012 18:31

Well done ses tink and lil R too!

Ive had an up and down few days, and am now left a bit Angry. I found out that the MW who booked me in gave me advice re driving that would have harmed me AND baby. She advised that i should wear my seat belt with laps strap under my boobs... This is likely to harm baby and break my ribs the correct advice is as low as possible under bump.. Im now thinking I should probably complain as that is quite a dangerous error to make.. Anyone know who I need to tell? Im just thanking my stars its not proved pertinent up
Until now!

SESthebrave · 14/07/2012 20:43

That's a bit worrying BB. I wouldn't know who to complain to but I'm sure the clinic should be able to advise.

Great sleeping from R, Kayz! The all evening feeding paid off! A's not done more than 4.5hrs in a stint yet. Hope your trip to Kings Lynn goes well.
As for sleepin in the crib, I'm not sure whether it's anything we've done or just the type of baby A is. What we have done is:

  • for the first few nights and if a bit cold (in July, I know!), put a hot water bottle in the crib to warm it
  • for the first few nights, put one of the tops I had been BFing her in under the sheet

tink - great to get paid, pay off debts and do some shopping :)
How was the nct sale? I've never been to one but wondering if it's worth trying to sell baby clothes when DD grows out of them?

Yes, we're definitely sticking at 2. I'm a little bit :( but know it's the right decision for us. TTC is such a rollercoaster for us, plus our ages and DH has always said just 2.

McKayz · 14/07/2012 20:47

So far so good. The boys are in their pjs and lying in bed watching tv. It's been very nice seeing my Dad and Sister. Plus I'm going to be an Auntie again!!!! It's quite strange as my niece is 11, nearly 12 and starting high school in September. But there's almost 13 years between DH and his older brother.

Ses, I think we're stopping now. We aren't 100% sure but I don't know if I could cope with SPD again even if I do learn to drive.

lastboxoftampons · 15/07/2012 22:05

Hi everyone!

Just back from a week's holiday in Cornwall with DH's family. Was very nice, but has me missing my own family even more... Sad

Also, finding pinning down ov this month really tough. But I@m certain it's happened, down to two possible days and we did manage to DTD both of those days, so que sera sera, I guess! Not holding out much hope. But have my scan date - Aug 2 (did I mention that already?) so looking forward to finding out just what's going on in there anyway.

Ses, well done you managing bedtime and nursery run on your own!

Kay - brilliant sleeping from R! Hope you had a lovely weekend with your family.

Tink - hooray for pay day!

BBisHavingAnotherBBaby · 16/07/2012 13:14

Kayz yay for nice trip!
Tink yay for Profit! We need to do a sale soon
Ses i feel your pain on stopping at 2 thats where Dp wants to stop im not ready to say that myself yet so ive just not said anything especially with conception being as hard as it has been
Lbot Sad for missing your family, hope your scan goes well

Had first consultant apt today He was v nice and kind, booked my gtt Envy for 7th lucky me but also said yes to an ELCS already. Although i put similar on FB and as usual someone has to make the comments about it... My body my baby my choice!! Im having a crap day at work too which doesnt help!

Oh well hope the rest of you are having a better day than me!!
