just wondering if anyone can help i took a home test last week which was positive 3+ weeks from conception which on the leaflet means a doctor would date it as 5weeks. So I'm presuming im approx 6weeks.

I have had awful sickness to the point where i can't keep anything down.
I have had slight brown discharge when i've wiped - sorry tmi! its not red its more end of period colour. just wondering are these normal signs? I've also had aches - no severe pains- but just lots of aches in my abdomen and a very sore back and heavy achy breasts

I have read that more morning sickness is a positive sign but how true is this?
I feel daft asking but i want my mind putting at ease that it might not just be me.

Okay, I would go to the GP: did you have your booking in appointment yet? Also, I did would get a couple of cheap sticks to pee on (Tesco's are good) for reassurance between now and the appointment.

I had implantation bleeding with DS but not with this one, and morning sickness varies wildly between women and pregnancies. Also, abdominal pain can be a bad signs or it can be benign. If in doubt, get it checked. I went to A&E with abdo pain at 7 weeks in my first pregnancy but it turned out to be that I can't cope with my jeans digging into my expanding uterus, even that early, and had to go into maternity jeans at that stage! Other causes of abdo pain need checking out, so see a doc.

The sickness needs checking out - are you getting dehydrated?

It mostly sounds pretty normal to me, but I am an English teacher, not a midwife or doctor, so would be sod all use even if we were in the same room!

Good luck and congrats on your pregnancy.

I would go to the docs if I were you. It could easily just be (and sounds like it is to me) the beginnings of morning sickness and your uterus stretching and the hormones starting to change your body. The blood sounds old as it is not red so that is good, hopefully just implantation. At least if you go to the gp's now they will also get you into the system to get your booking in appointment sorted and then your 12 week scan. Good luck and congratulations. If you are unable to keep anything down, please get your gp to help you and stay as hydrated as you can.
