Hi slightly I had horrendous sickness, started the day I was 5 weeks pg. I was on a couple of medications. However I was very sick with my singleton pg too, and in my twin pg, at 8 weeks a mw felt my tummy and told me she couldn't feel a fundus and i wasn't having twins. I thought of course I'm not I was pretty sick first time round too and I'm showing as its a small age gap... Wrong!!! Both of us. You can have no sickness with twins, or it might start next week! Fx for twins :)

Have everything crossed everything went brilliantly for you goingmad, and you're having newborn snuggles right now. really looking forward to hearing about your girlies and seeing you on the postnatal thread Xxx

angelpie2012 · 30/06/2012 15:25

Hello

Baileys told me about this thread as I am a fellow triplet mum-to be. Only at 21 weeks though so a long way to go. 20 wk scan went well and now have a 22 week growth scan on Wednesday so just hoping all goes well with the next few weeks of monitoring.

Oh and slightly, I had mild nausea which went away quite quickly if I ate something. Another reason why it felt odd/unbelievable to have multiples and the doctor said I was really lucky not to have bad morning sickness with so many pregnancy hormones. I did feel really tired though between weeks 6 to 12.

Anyway, glad to have found this thread and know that others are going through the same experiences - interrupted sleep is frustrating but just bought a pregnancy pillow so I'm hoping that that will help!

baileyslover · 30/06/2012 16:47

Welcome angelpie Smile
The waiting between growth scans seems endless, but it is so reassuring to see them every 2 weeks. I am having a boy and 2 girls, each have their own placentas so we don't know if the girls are identical or not. Do you know what you are having ?
We have our provisional ELCS date for 9th Aug, so now I have an end in sight Grin

angelpie2012 · 30/06/2012 17:33

Baileys - DH and I are so envious of you being at the 28 weeks' stage! It's all a waiting game so we just have to take each week as it comes.

We haven't found out the sex - partly my self-preservation as don't want to start planning a life/future, would rather wait for it to be a reality. All of ours have separate placenta so lower risk but think that probably means they're not identical?

Best of luck for the next few weeks!

baileyslover · 30/06/2012 22:10

Yep and I am not good at waiting either! If they all have their own placenta then they are either all from separate eggs, or an egg split prior to 3 days old, so still possible if the same sex that 2 are identical, they just have no way of knowing. People keep saying only 6 weeks to go, and that I am in the final stretch, but it still seems along time to me. Definate big relief when get to 24 then 28 week milestones. Good luck!

bigboobsatlast · 01/07/2012 15:21

Welcome Angel and congratulations again!! No wonder you felty tired! But yay for no morning sickness. Waiting to meet your LOs is hard but worth every minute... and you get the cuddle THREE!!!!!

goingmadtrying · 01/07/2012 22:12

evening ladies well what a whirlwind the last few days have been :)

unfortunately induction did not happen on Thursday due to all the local hospitals being closed as full!!! however was induced on Friday night when examined before progressing with pessary was already 2-3cm so they broke my waters, my gorgeous Girlies were delivered vaginally within 4 hours at 23.17 and 23.46 on 29/6, Freya weighed 4lb15 and Grace weighed 5lb12, spent the night in nicu but didn't need any help with feeding or breathing so just monitored, im still in hospital due to pre-eclamsia problems, due to girls weights and age having to formula feed every 4 hours however both have latched on but its too much hard work at the minute, they are so tiny and adorable Grin Grin and the boys love them so much, will upload photos once i can.

hope everyone else is ok Grin

Teds77 · 01/07/2012 22:34

Yay! Was just checking in for news! Well done going and Freya and Grace as well. Hope all continues to go well xx.

Teds77 · 01/07/2012 22:45

Welcome to angel - two lots of triplets on the thread means a whole load of lovely new babies Smile

slightly hope all goes well at your scan on Tuesday. My twins are thanks to ivf. This is my only pregnancy but I don't think I felt sick before 8 weeks and I didn't have sickness particularly badly. Definitely had it (!) but think it was fairly standard sickness.

baileys yay for getting a date - hopefully we'll set one for my two on Wednesday...

Waves to all the twin mums x.

baileyslover · 01/07/2012 23:19

yey going so glad everything went well, ad no need for major induction drugs. Sounds like great weights for being so early, 35 weeks I think? Lovely names too. Hope they get stronger for bf, are you expressing or are you still too poorly? Hope you feel better soon, and get home on the next couple of days xx

rednellie · 02/07/2012 00:02

Well done going, what lovely names and just make sure you get some rest now (ha ha, I know, what am I talking about?!). Can't wait to see you on the postnatal thread.

Welcome slightly and angel - this is a good place for hand holding. My two boys are almost 4 months now and are a delight. Their sister's pretty cool too. Good luck with all your scans etc. (oh and slightly, I had no morning sickness with DD and then felt much worse, but still no puking, with the Dtwins.)

claireinmodena · 02/07/2012 09:44

Can't wait to see pictures and hope you get home soon!

DreamingOfPeace · 02/07/2012 20:56

Hurray goingmad well done you!! 4 hours is very good going! Their names are gorgeous, absolutely love them. My 5lb 10 baby felt tiny, I bet your freya feels tiny. Enjoy the snuggles, they grow so fast :) . Really hope you feel better soon and get home with your girlies. Putting pics on here is clearly a priority... ;-)

Well done re stats Ted and 36 weeks - wow not long now? have you got a date for CS/induction? (sorry if I have missed this on the thread). Not long till you have your babes!

Good luck Slightly, heres to a comfortable pregnancy for you.

Thinking of you Going. Hope you are home x

baileyslover · 04/07/2012 10:24

Teds good work re stats, nice to see all the updated info. Hope you get your date today, must be very soon though, can't believe you are at 36 weeks Grin
I am 29 weeks today and feeling it this week. Bump is really achy, and it is hard to turn over in the night. Think the triplets fall into one position then when I move they need to rejig themselves and it is just sore. Indigestion has reared it's ugly head again as well. Am trying liquid gaviscon now but may need to ask for something stronger at my next appointment.
A couple of my friends have commented on how I have lost weight (excluding bump of course!) I feel like I am eating plenty, anyone got any tips on how to increase my calorie intake without increasing the volume. Struggling a bit with not feeling hungry anyway so can't just 'eat more'.

goingmadtrying · 04/07/2012 20:56

sorry for lack of updating still in hospital with my ladies at the minute.

the girls are doing well, feeding every 4 hours with formula at the minute but introducing the breast which they are starting to take to but tires them out, their also maintaining their temperatures. they have heart murmurs but doesn't look to be anything serious, had hcg's today, had the 5 day check, freya has lost 5% of her birth weight and grace has lost 8% of her birth weight, if they continue to feed well and maintain temp we can go home Friday, I've been discharged from the Dr care and will be going home on blood pressure tablets but think that'll be short term. my dh has been a star and has coped really well at home, im so proud of him and my boys and feel very lucky Grin Grin

teds stats list looks fab.

glad to hear your all doing well will post pics when i get home :)

angelpie2012 · 04/07/2012 22:42

Congratulations going - how lovely to have your two girls with you!

Thanks for including me in the stats update. I don't have any more info - my 40 wk due date would be 9 November but I won't be given an actual date until the next few weeks have passed.

Baileys - good luck with the indigestion. I've also wondered about food as I'm eating regularly but don't feel v hungry most of the time. Suspect our stomachs are just being squashed so there's v little room!

Will be 22 weeks tomorrow and had a scan this morning which showed that everything's still progressing as it would for a normal pregnancy. So was generally feeling positive and then on the way home from work I fell foul of a dodgy turnstile on the tube which closed on my bump! But think it should be fine as was more of a firm push on my bump and I've read that even if you fall the babies should be pretty well-protected. Just irritating how things never go smoothly/there's always something to worry about!

rednellie · 05/07/2012 04:04

angel I'm sure you'll be fine - they're very well protected. But yes, it is always one step forward about a thousand back with a multiples pregnancy. Can be very trying!

Thanks for stats Teds, makes me feel 'old'! Grin I remember the day I crept onto this board looking for solace....

baileys, have you tried drinking smoothies? (I know I know, when will I shut up about bloody smoothies), but seriously, me and DD drink one a day: yogurt, milk, peanut butter, banana, frozen berries, frozen spinach = yum. I'm not even joking and good way of getting extra calories in. Protein is key- doesn't fill you like carbs and is VERY important for baby growth.
